- In this video, we take a look back at the Scottish Television series; Taggart. We'll take a brief look back at the series and then find out what happened to the cast.
Please note: I have only included some of the cast from the earlier series as there were far too many to include them all. Apologies if I have missed your favourite character.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. Can't beat a bit of nostalgia.
I had forgotten Mark McManus was so young when he died. He'd lost his 2nd wife,Mother, his brother and two sisters in the last two years of his life. Poor fella. His other brother, who was Fostered at the age of two was Brian Connolly of 70s band Sweet and he passed away himself only three years later. A tragic tale.
He almost became Rector of Glasgow University in 1993 being beaten by Johnny "Revenge of the Nerds" Ball (as named by the outgoing Rector, Pat Kane).
My friend was his wife's doctor when she was ill.
@@damiencrowley2506 Heartbreaking situation. I assume it weighed heavily on him for the last part of his life?
A few memories came flooding back with this one.
Many of the cast also appear as supporting cast members before becoming detectives - Colin Macredie had 2 roles prior to becoming Stuart Faser, Alex Norton was a murder victi.
Thank you...I loved this show! 🇦🇺
It would be interesting to see the cast of Bergerac today.
🤔 I used to mostly enjoy watching this Scottish series ,back in the day when i was just a teenager. Although. Most of the time, i had no idea what they were talking about !!!....😂😅
Didn't James Macpherson appear briefly in the last episode of Boxer and Doberman? In the closing credit the voice of Bob Boxer is heard to call out "wasn't he in something called Taggart?"
Shared a table with Mark McManus at Leeds/Bradford airport. He was drinking an orange juice and told me he was an alcoholic.
So sad.
Enjoy the reruns of Taggart - ‘There has been a murder!’
The “Biscuit”.
