1:36 if you look super close at the table you can see the reflection of the actual gingerbread house slide under the table. It’s barely noticeable

That is indeed some craziness you go through just for, well, a 10 second magic trick. Dedication, man! Also props to all those who made good Magic of the Month submissions. They must've done some retakes, though probably not as many as you. I think the wires would be the most fun experience for me.

I remember for a friend's film class, we did some scenes from the count of Monty Cristo, and they wanted me to sing Hell to your Doorstep, and, for the scene, they rigged me up to some wires on a green screen to give the illusion that a pillar or brimstone was rising up with me on top of it
