one of the best video for students who want to going in Ireland for their higher education 🙌 you've include all the important information for students ❤✔👌
thank you, I learnt some new things from this video! I do have a question: do you have any recommendations regarding creating a bank account in Ireland?
The videos are really awesome! It's helping many students out there who'll be landing in Dublin without any idea:D the ones like me though! I have a query.. I'm planning to purchase a new mobile so what do u recommend to purchase a new one in Ireland or in India?
Hey Nitin, Cheers man :) I'm glad it helped. If you can wait for sometime to buy a new phone, or want to but a good one (any latest phone) I'd say buy from here (Ireland) ! Benefits: - Again, local warranty. - Contract phones option : You can buy phones on contract basis where you pay small amount at first and the rest in installments. Not all people prefer this, but just an option. - Sale: If you come here in September, you may look for reduced price during Christmas or Black Friday etc. Saves you few euros :) If you can't wait or don't mind a simple phone, but from India , Easy ! Cheers :)
Hi Parvez...i am about to apply for Student Visa for a 1 year Masters course. My question is regarding Pvt Health Insurance. My college..Trinity College Dublin doesn't provide Group Mediclaim coverage. So can I apply for a Irish Medical Insurance from India? Is it more cost effective. The other option is 1 year Travel Insurance which amounts to nearly 40 Lacs i.e Accident cover 25000Eur and Disease cover 25000Eur. This additional cost is completely out of my budget hence need your guidance.
Hey Nupur, Applying for an Irish Medical Insurance from India is possible and a good idea too as you'd always have someone to speak with locally when needed. Also, the cost is almost the same (slight difference) when comparing medical insurances from India and Ireland. Ask your college to atleast provide any leads on Insurance Providers that they would recommend , would be great if you get that. I personally don't promote any so let me know how you get on else I'll can dig some information for you and pass on some leads. Thanks.
Parvez Mulani Thanks a ton responding! I have found one called O'Driscoll O'Neil...they have a comprehensive plan called Study and Protect and apparently is it the best for Non EEA students. Have you heard of them? I am thinking of going with them for the first year atleast.
Bingo ! I had one with them, was just waiting for you to throw new names if any based on your research :) My college had a tie-up with them, they're fine. Good to get started there. Just a favour, please if you can share any latest updates you have here would be great as it helps many others too. Eg: Current price of the insurance, any visa information or anything where you faced any difficulties and think might help others :)
Parvez Mulani Definitely... I would be more than happy to help any based on my experiences...i have been through all your videos...being a super anxious person myself, I know how much information sharing can help. Btw..thanks a lot. You are doing a great job. You have been extremely helpful through your UA-cam channel.
Dear Parvez First of all I would like to congratulate you for your commendable work on UA-cam, your videos are really informative and give people like me a fair idea of various things. I am Junaid Golandaz from Mumbai, I am a Biotechnology Engineer and I got the offer letter for MSc International Pharmaceutical Business Management course from Griffith College Cork campus. I want to ask you, do you have any rough idea regarding Griffith college. Also what do you think about the course which I got offered? Is it good enough to give me an edge for entering the Pharmaceutical industry in Ireland. I would be eagerly waiting for your answers.
Junaid, thanks for feedback. I believe I have replied to your email as it was more convenient replying there to all your questions. Hope you've got it. Thanks
Parvez Mulani ...just one more question I have...can u please quote the usual prices for Indian masalas such as haldi, coriander powder etc there? According to the price, I may decide to carry some or no
Hey Syed, Usually various consultants provide info regarding this and do it for "free"! I mostly try to share info that saves money/time/trouble to all. But lemme add a video on the process too :)
Thanks for this video too 👍🏻 and the thing is I heard it’s better not to buy a cooler from India because in Ireland there are microwaves that we have it for cooking or heating . So please guide about that and which arlines would be the best to travel at Shannon airport if travelling from India ?
Hey Yashasvi, Always hear good feedback from you :) 1) There are microwaves here so don't bring anything extra. Please bring what I have mentioned in the video and that should do. 2) Etihad has good service in reasonable price so mostly try and book with them. What course are you coming for and what college ?
Great. We'll catch up when you here . If you found all my information helpful, let's help others too. When you are here and have attended college for few months, let's add your feedback regarding the course, college and anything else that could be helpful for future students :) Every little information helps :)
Hey Parvez. I'm Aditya from India. I've seen almost all your videos and trust me you are doing great these days. I am coming to Dublin for a duration for 3 months for an internship. What do you think will be sufficient amount to carry in order to bear my food expenses (I have accommodation provided by college) ? How much Rice and dal do you suggest me to bring (I'm veggie :P )? Also, can you make any comment on the type of shoes and Jacket that I should bring, I'll leave Ireland in last week of October.
Hey man, thanks for the feedback :) 1) Accommodation sorted: That's great. Like I said in my Cost of Living video (ua-cam.com/video/XnGJgAC8nj4/v-deo.html ), your major expenses would be accommodation, travel, food etc. The expenses really depend on individuals. Just food expenses, 400-500 should suffice. But I'd say as you are here for a short time, you can bring around 1000 Euros (if possible). I am saying this based on the fact that you are going to be here for a short time, and might want to travel, eat outside sometimes, go shopping etc. Also, you should have some emergency money always handy. Incase if any money is leftover, you could always take it back home :) 2) You can bring 2Kg Dal & rice if you have enough space in your luggage. But you can even buy Dal & rice here from Asian stores (not that expensive either) 3) Leather Jacket and shoes would be good for cold. This is the first reply where I literally felt like packing your luggage :D bring some sweets for me when coming
Hey Parvez ! Thanks for your reply. This descriptive picture is really helpful. And thanks for helping me out with my luggage :P , I will be glad to bring some Indian sweets for you :D
Is it mandatory to have a PPS number apart from registering with GNIB for an International student in order to get employment, if so, then what is the procedure to get it?
Hey man, yes PPS number is mandatory for starting work in Ireland, part-time/full-time. It is used for salary purposes. I'll be adding a video soon on few things every student should do after arriving in Ireland soon. PPS process is part of it, so will have it answered there. Thanks :)
+sudarsan sridayanithi that's a good option too as sometimes laptops are cheaper to get from states if you know someone coming over that can carry it along . But depends how much you really save on it . Because quality won't change that much .
assalamualaikum brother hope you are doing grand😂..Hats off to you for your efforts. could you please shed some light on postgraduate Finance programs in ireland and how is the job market for Indian students in the field. jazakallah khair
Salam ! I'm grand, thanks for the appreciation :D Job Market: To begin with, my background is in IT, so in terms of awareness, I'm not as sound as in technology, however there are good opportunities for finance too. I say this on the basis of what I have seen in the job Market in general. I'd recommend you have a look at some of the Job portals to get an idea on this. Watch my video on Jobs in Ireland where I have provided few techniques and inputs : ua-cam.com/video/2PNER3o19Ik/v-deo.html Indian Students: Generally, if you have the skills/experience to do a particular job, then it doesn't really matter to be honest with you. It's certainly not that easy as you'd be competing with lot of people (Locals/Europeans), but it's possible and people ahve done it. Infact now the post-graduate visa is for two years which gives companies the benefit of hiring Internal Students for atleast two years to see their performance to decide if a work permit application should be made or not :) Fair play !
No worries man :) I’ve decided to be more active and responsive as I know it helps . If you find it useful , please share it with others ! You don’t need to get a TB test for the visa. Ofcourse if possible It’d be nice to have a medical checkup done anyway. Would be a useful document :)
Yes there is. You can bring upto 10,000 Euro cash. Anything above that, needs to be declared with the customs. Have a read on this : www.citizensinformation.ie/en/travel_and_recreation/travel_to_ireland/customs_regulations_for_travellers.html
Hi M.Riswan, DBS is pretty okay with it's quality of education and reputation. Regarding jobs, please watch my video on Jobs in Ireland where I have added detailed information ua-cam.com/video/2PNER3o19Ik/v-deo.html&lc=UgyMtMx5V9tn0QWHR1p4AaABAg Thanks
I won't be able to give an exact figure as it totally depends on when you get a part-time job. Although, it would be better to bring money for more time just incase if it takes too long to find a job. If you do fin one early, you can always send the money back :) I have given the average expenses of living here on which you can try and estimate some amount : ua-cam.com/video/XnGJgAC8nj4/v-deo.html
I am indian registered nurse...i wish to come ireland and work as a nurse...can you help me...like i have many questions running in my mind about living in ireland..can i talk to you about that ?
