@@AfricaBuildingHub yes, very important. What about modern cement chemistry has changed so much compared to those used for old buildings which rarely had rising dampness. Also why modern cement doesn't scotch the hands. The old ones used to be strong.
Point of correction C30 concrete is equivalent to 32.5. C35 to C40 is equivalent to 42.5. it all depends on what conpressive strength of cement your structural engineer recommends for your building. C30 / 30mpa can be used for mass reinforced concrete as well. As long as you follow the curing guidelines. If youre not building a 10 or 15 floor building why waste money on the 42.5 /40 mpa cement. Maybe they're not using right mixtures and compressive strengths in Ghana Its Just a way to deter people from using the 32.5 R cement
