Hi ! What a nice presentation of these superb cars, I personnaly have a black 45 and I'm very happy driving this car every day, I really feel unique when I'm driving :) but I just wanted to know what is the name of the music at 2:30 ?. Thanks a lot.
Head gasket just went on my 25. I love it so much im spending £2500 on it to get a new engine (the other one was a wreck) get new exaust new brakes etc etc. Cheapest way to get a reliable car these days. Wil lhopefully run for another 10 years if im carful!
@@tileng.5186 Haha! Well I kept it for another 2 or 3 years after I got the new engine fitted, sold it to a nurse who worked in the local hospital and it only ever got 1 more MOT before I presume got scrapped. Shouldn't of sold it but I got a new job with a company van so I got something exciting for myself for the weekends as I was a dumb 24 year old 🤣
@@MylesHSG I see. On mine '95 214 R8 gasket blew just recently...with about 125.000 km (app 78.000 miles). Will be used for some spares because I also have a '93 416 GSi...than scrapped. Bodyparts are IMPOSSIBLE to find here in Slovenia, Rovers are very rare, especially R8...and then Brexit, people wouldn't sell/ship so easily to EU anymore.. As far as I know, I have the only 416 R8 registered (that here means MOT'd & taxed, "on the road") in whole country. Yes, it's a small one but still.. Now I am looking for another daily driver and have found a 25 diesel on marketplace...I like Rover (yes, and Lancia and Saab, had several of them, too haha) so I ended up here...and came across your comment. Saw you posted it exactly 10 years ago. What a coincidence, had to ask how it finished 10 years later 😀
@TheLindalahughes Id say the only time is the Rover 100 issue about 1997. Just shame that people have pre conceived ideas about MGRover most of which are often wrong.
I'm 17, and I have a 10 year old 45, head gasket has just gone, but no worries, all replaced with the uprated unit. I have access to my dads Audi A4 from 2006, and I tell you what, I'd choose my 45 anyday, they drive nicer, and they age better, seeing as the audi is newer, more things have gone wrong with it, I have parking sensors, Air Con, CD player, steering wheels radio controls, the lot, and what's wrong with them? nothing. Rovers aren't shit cars, it's just the k series head gasket...
I’m glad I’m not on my own I’m 17 and Have just got a 2002 Rover 25 which is 16 nearly 17 and it’s fabulous. I don’t care if it’s only 8 months younger than me but I love it so much.
I have a rover 45 its 10 years old its got a/c cd player twinairbags everyting you need on it really. Bought last year when sombody spent £500 on it with the uprated Head Gasket kit new cam belt and full service. Its got 113000 miles on it and it drives like new. Took it for its mot last week and it went through with no problems. I paid £800 for the car. You dont see many ford vauxhall or bmw's at that age still running and passing its mot first time WHO SAYS ROVER ARE SHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You know what when did you ever hear of Rover ever putting people in danger like Renault Ford and so on on Watchdag I rest my case. They may not be the best performers but when the K series engine came in was when my sister bought a rover 25 and I own a Mg svr which is 6 years old now and can still race with the best of them. De resrticted it has a top speed of 198mph. I will always love Mg ROVER
no its not bmw, i used to have a rover 45 that nearly bankrupted me in the end, i had scince it was 3 years old, but my the time it was 7 it was only fit for scrap! I now drive a volvo v70, 10 years old and hardly run in!
Happier days...
stunning cars
Poor Rover where did it all go wrong?
