As someone that watches almost every live catch that Alex streams, he’s super legit and I can guarantee that he isn't catching child predators for clout. There are definitely some pred catching groups that do more harm than good by just yelling at the pred’s, not working with police and ruining any chance of getting the preds arrested/convicted, but Alex has developed a system to get preds to open up on video, self incriminating themselves and then getting police involved every time, often getting on-site arrests. Alex has also admitted that he botched the EDP catch but since then he has leveled up and is by far the best pred catcher out there. For context, these days Alex and his team do at least 20-30 catches a month, constantly traveling all over the country by car to confront real child predators, many of which are currently sex offenders as a result of previous instances of real sexual abuse of children. While I don’t have any specific numbers on hand, Alex has something like arrests in 40 states with at least 30 convictions so far, and as you pointed out, a pred recently got charged with over 100 years as a direct result of Alex’s investigation. I just don't understand why Ethan hates Alex so much...he goes out of his way to lie about him and constantly misrepresents what he does which is very sus. Also worth pointing out that Alex has a massive team of decoys that identify pedos online so he doesn’t sit around just pretending to be a little kid like Ethan tried to claim. Alex's job is to confront the preds once they've engaged with a decoy online and get them to admit to their intent to have sex with a minor, and more often than not, to also admit that they are in possession of CP. Whats incredible about Alex is that anyone who botched an investigation as badly as the EDP one would've either spiraled into irrelevancy or fallen apart into youtuber drama, but instead Alex decided to actually learn from his mistakes, work with police, and now has been thanked by multiple police departments for helping catch child predators in their areas.

As someone that watches almost every live catch that Alex streams, he’s super legit and I can guarantee that he isn't catching child predators for clout.
There are definitely some pred catching groups that do more harm than good by just yelling at the pred’s, not working with police and ruining any chance of getting the preds arrested/convicted, but Alex has developed a system to get preds to open up on video, self incriminating themselves and then getting police involved every time, often getting on-site arrests.
Alex has also admitted that he botched the EDP catch but since then he has leveled up and is by far the best pred catcher out there.
For context, these days Alex and his team do at least 20-30 catches a month, constantly traveling all over the country by car to confront real child predators, many of which are currently sex offenders as a result of previous instances of real sexual abuse of children.
While I don’t have any specific numbers on hand, Alex has something like arrests in 40 states with at least 30 convictions so far, and as you pointed out, a pred recently got charged with over 100 years as a direct result of Alex’s investigation.
I just don't understand why Ethan hates Alex so much...he goes out of his way to lie about him and constantly misrepresents what he does which is very sus. Also worth pointing out that Alex has a massive team of decoys that identify pedos online so he doesn’t sit around just pretending to be a little kid like Ethan tried to claim. Alex's job is to confront the preds once they've engaged with a decoy online and get them to admit to their intent to have sex with a minor, and more often than not, to also admit that they are in possession of CP.
Alex is definitely divisive, openly right wing and says a lot of stuff that is not politically correct, but at the end of the day it doesn’t matter, his results speak for themselves. The only logical reasons I can come up with for Ethan's weird obsession with Alex is either:
A) Ethan is so dogmatic to left wing ideology, he thinks Alex is evil because he's right wing and it somehow trumps all of the work he's doing, or
B) Ethan is 100% a child pred so he's lashing out because he's paranoid that Alex is going to discover the terabytes of Cheese Pizza on his computer...
