    Heh freestanding awning that you need poles to hold up in order to walk under it.
    Great informative video though,, Know what one I'm crossing off the list of options to purchase.
    Like your solution for the rain covers poles.. I wondered about that on mine

      Yeah it dose have a few let downs but it’s a step up from my old awning, thanks for the good vibes my bro

      He only used two mounting brackets instead of three or four. Also, those brackets are not reinforced to prevent vertical movement. You could customize them by welding on little triangles between baracket plates, which would dramatically improve stability.

    Looks the goods mate, been thinkin bout getting a 270 degree awning. Been told the third bracket is required at the back as thats where most.of the pressure with all the ally rhs is

      yeah man i would argue with that, ill trial it for a few weeks keep a eye on it and see if i need another one

    Have you had any issues with the timing chain on the d22?

    Have you tried stringing the front pull strap up higher, say to the front of your roof rack? That should help pull that 'sag' in the front as I found with ours pulling it back at the same height as the awning itself helps keep it taught, just like what the back has done.
