@@whdbnrm3023 We probably sold a half dozen of them. They were not affiliated with Excalibur. They also built one based on the Fiero(?) chassis - a sports car. This was a sideline for Zimmmer Corp which I can’t remember what. They built but were based out of West Palm Beach I think.
@@whdbnrm3023 No, they were not kits. I. Found some of our dealer correspondence yesterday. Zimmer also made vans and mobile homes, boats and were a public company. Not sure when they went under. They had a nice finish and obviously an almost garish style to them. Not really my cup of tea but I appreciated the appeal of them. I’ll try and scan and post some pics of the options and variations. They had a convertible and four door they called the limousine. Robert Zimmer had a son “Bob”, that ran the car division - nice guy as I remember .
@@nvestnbna Very interesting . Do you remember how much they sold for and how much customizing went into the cars ? I actually saw one in person about 3 months ago , and to me it looked great but at a gas station with modern cars around ,it looked out of place . The mobile homes must be beautiful
Frankly it looks like a two door Bufori La Hoya model build and Made in Malaysia. Its four door version is the Bufori Geneva & the door opens like a Rolls Royce.
@@whdbnrm3023 The company is still producing cars and doing customize and restoration work. Its all handmade. A car will take one year to build up from scratch.
My favorite is the cream/white~ish one. It really is gorgeous! I think Rod Serling owned one of these.
I remember the Zimmers. I think that they were built on a Mustang Chassis, if I recall correctly. They are very Beautiful and Timeless!!
looks like an Excalibur
Phyllis Diller had a few .
They had Chevrolet engines in them .
Some of them were built on mercury cougers
@@rsgrsg1361 Yes....I that is correct! I knew that it was something from the Ford Family of Vehicles, LOL!!
Никогда не думал, что от созерцания такой красоты можно испытать эстетический оргазм! 😇

We were a dealer for them in the 80s leased one to Jerry Lee Lewis.

@@nvestnbna Being built on a donor chassis did you sell it as a kit car ? Why do you think that not more were sold ?

انعطاف السياره صعب . يجب أن تنعطف الإطارات الخلفيه أيضا، وذلك لغرض تسهيل الانعطاف .
Just beautiful
