The themes are universal indeed! The soft, soothing, peaceful, and mature use of instrumentals; The experientially saturated, colorful, exciting, and visually engaging lyrical landscapes; The feeling of being so very close to earthly pleasure, while also being on the edge of cosmic bliss. Sensual, spiritual, and timeless, each song is its own metaverse. I am grateful that such artists exist that come together to create something so beautiful to share with the world.
Their music could of been so much more. It's good, the singing and the tunes but it's soulless and shallow. 40 year old men lusting after young women basically. Plus they haven't treated their fans very well. Bad concerts, late, few songs, job done kind of crap. These are people that support them and deserve better.

Because of the pain my ex caused me, I was not able to play a single Cigarettes After Sex for months - yes for months! Because these songs would bring all the pain I've been trying to overcome. Yesterday I saw him with his new girlfriend while I'm there and today I decided to play the entire album because I don't care anymore and I am not afraid. I will blast all of their albums without hesitation and I am so happy that I can finally listen to them again!
everytime i listen to any song of their album i feel like crying because it reminds me of past relationships, as an advice: don't regret anything and don't be afraid of getting rejected, it can hurt but it will help you grow up at worst.
