Great video showcasing the animals and destinations for an African Safari. See the top 5 most popular for a bucket list luxury safari. Fire away if you have any questions.
this make´s me laugh kruger is better than maasai mara, the mara won for the 6 time the best national park and you say kruger for real never is never my friend even Tanzania is better but i understand you guys dont mention maasai mara because you guys always loose for the best park in the world and they have allready to mutch publicity ...
Thank you for your comment. You need to not only take wildlife into account, but the level of service and cuisine in the top 1% lodges. The Kruger simply wins hands down in this department in our experience. Although of course there are gems and diamonds in Mara. Wishing you health and safety.
KENYA should definately be on that list.Amboseli,Tsavo National park and the famous Maasai Mara are just a tip of the iceberg. Its no wonder its most likely the place you will see once you switch to any National Geographic episode.
I always thought Kenya was one of the top African savahna safari wildlife countries. I've thought it was a wide strip that went from Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Northern South Africa, and Botswana, and maybe eastern Namibia (the latter becomes desert in the western parts of that country). The wildlife savanahs generally end west of Kenya, Tanzania, and Zambia because the land turns into the rainforests of Dem. Republic of Congo (Zaire), Republic of Congo, Gabon, and Cameroon. And West African countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, and Ivory Coast, although I thought had some savanahs too, I think they are a very narrow strip between the Sahara desert and the rainforests, and have lots of farmlands, and busy populations such as Lagos, etc. The vast savanahs of safari wildlife are from Kenya and Tanzania down through Botswana and northern South Africa. Those are where we've always seen all of the lions, hippos, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, crocodiles, hyenas, and ostriches
I personally don't think you can beat the Maasai mara game reserve in Kenya! For seeing the Big Five, and possibly the best place On earth for seeing regular sightings of the Big Cats, Lion, Leopard and Cheetah. I think unlike The Krugar national Park in South Africa, with the manufactured paved Roads - The Open plains of the Maasai mara Gives brilliant opportunities for seeing the big Cats. Also as mentioned here, You're number 5, choice was Serengeti national Park, in Tanzania and featured the Annual Wildebeest Migration, I think this could have been higher on your list due to The Serengeti/Maasai mara ecosystem Between Tanzania and Kenya! And overall for me, making East Africa certainly the number One spot for an African Safari.
What you don't understand is that the two are a completely different landscape. East Africa is (almost) plain and it's a savanna. Trust me, if they didn't build infrastructure in Kruger, you wouldn't get very far. Also, the South African market is very wide. Tourists usually come for about 21-day itinerary whereby they rent cars (not 4x4s always), so that they can see other places lie the panorama route, garden route, garden route, Cape Town, etc
The list says most popular and is based on where our visitors go most of the time. As a HUGE percentage of visitors travel in South Africa, they always visit Cape Town (world top 10 city) and the Kruger Park, best overall experience when you combine wildlife, accommodation, cuisine and hospitality. But yes, Kenya has fantastic destinations too.
You're most welcome. If you have any further questions or need insight on destinations, activities etc, please reach out at either AfricanSafariHome.com or TailorAfrica.com. Kind regards and all the best for the new year.
Looking to book a trip in August 2022, With current Covid issues rising in SA what are the current restrictions on visiting the top 5 area's described in your video? Thanks
Hi David. Thanks for your interest. Please lodge an enquiry on our website at AfricanSafariHome.com and a consultant will brief you on all scenarios. Thank you kindly.
I cannot compare east Africa to any African countries when it comes to animal varies am not bias though south Africa has also most fantastic safaris site.
I wonder how one can mention wild beast migration from serengeti and fails to mention the obvious destination and most popular maasai mara. This info is biased. You cant name serengeti and leave mara, tgey are twins and that means kenya must have featured somewhere in your vlog. Uwongooooooo
Sure, Kenya and Tanzania are both epic destinations, but the post said "Most Popular" and we get more people interested in a Southern Africa safari as it offers a wide combination of activities outside pure wildlife viewing. If the post was "Best Wildlife Destinations", then East Africa would fly the flag high.
"Cape Town, where the Atlantic and Pacific oceans meet" 🤣🤣😂😂🤣🤣!! SERIOUSLY???? LMFAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣!! Happy to learn that when I'm Surfing in Durban, I'm actually in the Pacific Ocean 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣!
Indeed, an honest mistake made in a video after reviewing several destinations, I hope your surf in the Indian Ocean goes well, I recommend Cave Rock on the Bluff on a good day. Enjoy.
@@tailorafrica No worries! I can't even make contents like the ones you do and it's always easier to pick the little mistakes 😉! Personally I prefer Ballito 🏄🏼♀! But the Bluff is indeed a nice spot!
It's a Tour Operator thing, while not technically accurate, considering the audience is not from Africa, and when an "African Safari" is sold, it's sold as a multi-destination experience. But of course, you're "technically" correct. Have a fantastic 2022, and we look forward to sending clients to East Africa, 100%.
I guess it depends what you're looking for. Some may agree, some not. The Kruger has many benefits as does the Serengeti. The beauty of Africa is everyone can find their treasure.

Amazing
Love it ❤️
I’m interested in the #1 luxury package you showed at the end of the video. Where can I book it? Thank you

Agree!
Kenya and Tanzania should be on top of that list with Bostwana.
Cape Town is nice but not for safari 🤔
Kruger safaris feel like a manicured safari, paved roads.East Africa has the best aunthetic safaris mostly in Kenya and The Serengeti.

And in Zimbabwe, at The Hide 😁
Awsome place
How is Kenya not in the list and u have Kruger and Cape town???

@@tailorafrica Well ,that should have been, The best according to our Tour company. 🤷♀️
How could you miss Kenya...best African safari destination
Thanks for sharing! This is super helpful for us as we look to plan a trip!

One day i would like to travel and see the beautiful animals
My favourite destinations are The Kruger and Botswana. Animals I enjoy seeing most are the leopard and rhino.
Love leopards. A great place to see them is in the Timbavati Private Reserve in the Greater Kruger Park.
Rhino might go extinct in SA because of poaching locals and foreigners (specifically Chinese,Vietnamese and other south asian) pray for rhino 🙏🙏
Bullshit.. Have you been to Tanzania?
Number 5??? Really?
You must be from south Africa.
Is there a good mid range safari company for Botswana?
I'd like to visit African wildlife someday.
Serengeti national park it's very amazing
If I specifically want to see and have THE absolute BEST experience with LIONS which location would you recommend ?
Serengeti
Yes, definitely Serengeti.
Are the prices - per day?
My favourite is d kruger national park.
Kruger Park♥️♥️♥️
KENYA Is number 1. You should have named your video best places in Southern Africa
The Hide, Zimbabwe, is the best!!
I just have to say Botswana has the best Safari
Where?
Wonderful
Cape Town where two oceans meet are Atlantic and Indian Ocean not Pacific
Very true, thanks for spotting that, must have been a long day of video making :) May you have a super New Year's and all the best for 2022.
😮❤
I cannot compare east Africa to any African countries when it comes to animal varies am not bias though south Africa has also most fantastic safaris site.
Selous is amazing and still wild. The Kruger is like a zoo, the animals look at the people😂
I have a dream... And that is to go to africa... I juat wanna went wild😌😌😌
kenya - mara + zanzi bar..common mate..lol east africa is always the real "Safari" destinations
Per person sharing. Meaning one room. But each person spends 5k each?
Correct
Then you have missed big time. Kenya should be the first 🥇
The list is quite biased
Kruger national park
Victoria falls

Kenya not being first very questionable

Botswana is the best

He was focused in South Africa only and maybe he's never came to Kenya he's talking of safaria while including beaches confusion is real😂😂😂😂

Cheaper to stay in london and paris
Kenya? Seriously?!
This is a joke 😅where is Maasai Mara???
Don't think Cape Town is safe
No way Botswana is number 2 to Kruger..
Serengeti is better than Kruger!
I guess it depends what you're looking for. Some may agree, some not. The Kruger has many benefits as does the Serengeti. The beauty of Africa is everyone can find their treasure.
