      @@jamzwayne I agree with you sometimes. When there is a pile of 20 knives, it doesn’t seem to therapeutic at times 😂

    Really interesting Kyle. I like how you speed up the video at times you are doing repetitive work. Thank you also for the close up shots. You are well spoken also; not much "uh, um". Well thought out and presented!

      I know how life gets in the way of fun stuff lol.. It’s hard to find the time to shoot and mostly to edit videos I’ve been trying to do a no need to edit video but that hasn’t happened yet. Maybe next one i shoot lmao. Honestly anything knife making is good with me! I usually learn something new and always enjoy watching how other makers work!

      Nice! I wish I could do something like that! Each segment is usually recorded at least 2 times and usually more like 5-6!!! I always love seeing how others do things. I can usually pull something from everyone.

    Thank you for showing how it is done, but what do you do when you glue the handles on? It is not difficult to keep the glue away from the filework or remove the glue from the filework?

      Paul Bohl I just fill the whole gap with epoxy and sand away the epoxy to reveal the filework pattern underneath. Hope that helps!

    What kind of, and where did you get that ruler you use in this video?! I need one of those!!

    • @KHDailyKnives
      @KHDailyKnives  6 років тому

      It is a ruler made by Incra. It is called a precision bend ruler and I got it from Rockler Woodworking. Amazon has them also. I will try to add a link in the description.

    What's the electric carving tool called? Couldn't quite hear what you said.

    • @KHDailyKnives
      @KHDailyKnives  6 років тому

      Justin Lyman It is a Foredom TX flex shaft. You can also use a Dremel to do the same thing. I used a Dremel for a long time before I bought my Foredom TX. I have other attachments I use on mine that make it work really well in a small shop. They have one that makes a right angle and you can use a 2” quick change disk. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Great vid. Perhaps a little slower on the explanation of the thorn. You showed it once, kind of, but would be cool to go a little deeper into that explanation and show more examples rather than just showing it once and then speeding up the vid.
