Q2 Answer is irrational number. pi = 3.14 is only an approx. As we discussed pi is an irrational number. So if you calculate 2 x pi x r, it is also an irrational number.

q1. when we prime factorise the number 420, it is 2*2*5*3*7
as only 2 and 5 should be included there are 3 and 7 as well so hence 9/420 is non terminating
q2. after finding out the circumference of circle the answer is 44 as 44 is rational number

Sir, I have solved the problems
1. GIVEN 9/420
THE DENOMINATOR 420= 2x2x3x5x7
9/420=
9x(9/3)x(9/5)x(9/7)
The first three are normal(terminating) but 9/7 is not. Hence the given number will be non-terminating as it is multiplied by a non-terminating number.
Hence,9/420 is a non-terminating number.
2. We know that, c=2pi x r
pi is an irrational, transcendental no.
Hence, any number, which is rational, multiplied to pi will always be irrational
In this case, the radius is 7, then no. we will multiply is 14 x pi(which is clearly an irrational no.)
An irrational no. will always be non-terminating. Hence it is a non-terminating number.

Q1 simpler way is: 9/420 = 3/140 = 3 / 2 x 2 x 5 x 7
Denominator has 7. So not factors of 2 and 5 only.

(Answer of Q1) To know if any fraction is terminating or non-terminating decimal number, we need to look at the prime factors of the denominator in its simplest form.
Now, the simplest form of 9/420 is 3/140.
140=2 × 2 × 5 × 7
Since, 140 has factors except 2 & 5, the given fraction is a non-terminating decimal number.
(Answer of Q2) Circumference = 2 × π × radius = 14π
As π is an irrational number, 14π is also an irrational number.
