I’ve been a Tori Kelly fan for more than five years now and she is truly one of the best singers in this generation! She may not be the best out of all of them but she still has a lot of time to improve her talent 😊. For my opinion, she may need to work on her technique when belting F5s - above especially when sustaining as it can sound pushed. Overall, I love her so much! Haha ❤️
she barely belted above G5 live back to 2015, and it is such a luck for us for getting these upper belts started from 2016, until these days, belting & mixing G#5 & A5 live, such a blessing for us, plus her runs are unmatchable to other singers😭😩😭😩, she’s absolutely the whole package, lows, mid-belts, high belts, HV, Falsetto, Whistle, and her tone😭😭 Ari, Jojo, Tori, also these 3 are beasts of vocals😭

Its hard to pick just one bc of their different backgrounds, Tori is gospel which means a lot of runs, rawness and that mask placement quality, it’s virtuosity Arianas from theater so is her placements, everything is very rounded, clean and has a strong vibrato Jojo R&B/Soul so a lot of runs but also a lot of power and projection Jessie J Soul/Hip Hop, so very powerful too with some edge to it So it goes with others... each have their strengths like, Tori agility wins? Yeah but Jojo belts and Arianas vibrato also beats Toris, at that point is more of a personal preference of style. For example I personally prefer Ariana bc of her theater background (bc that’s my background too, so I like everything very rounded and clean, effortless...)

Higher sopranos are Ariana Grande, Patti LaBelle, Cheryl Lynn, Amber Riley, Tina Watson, Francine Jones, Sohyang, while singing the same notes it seems as if they are singing lower notes than Tori does, which indicates that Tori's instrument sits lower.

Tori Kelly is my second favorite singer today after Haley Reinhart. Tori Kelly is a very excellent rhythm and blues and gospel singer. Haley Reinhart, who always remains very obscure and very unknown due to the fact that she has repeatedly over and over again refused to sign with a record label, is an excellent rock, retro, and jazz singer. Tori has one of the best voices today,j but Haley's voice to me is much more dynamic in that she can sing super angelic in one song and then get down real gritty and dirty in another song, and then she can do everything in between. I also feel Haley has a little better musicality relative to Tori. Nonetheless, they are two of the most outstanding singers today and my two favorites.

Not really, no. She’s one of the best yes, but she’s not surpassing Ariana in anything except her speed in agility. A lot of her belts can be tense starting as early as B4. She’s got an over compression issue and a lot of involuntarily false fold engagement. Actually, Mariah did too so I guess they have that in common. Anyway, I realize Tori has been lightening her voice lately and can go a tad bit higher but they’re definitely not supported notes. Ariana now shows little to no sign of strain anywhere in her range, has a much more developed M2, whistle, and I’ve yet to see Tori play around with fast transitions like Ariana has here and there.

Anyway, I realize Tori has been lightening her voice lately and can go a tad bit higher but they’re definitely not supported notes. Ariana now shows little to no sign of strain anywhere in her range, has a much more developed M2, whistle, and I’ve yet to see Tori play around with fast transitions like Ariana has here and there.

I’m glad someone else is able to recognize Ariana’s improvement in her belting technique, whistles, and register transitions because I don’t think Ariana should be regarded as worse than Tori. They’re both absolutely great and I have them equally matched in terms of overall vocal talent :)

she is a very good singer but you will never know the best singer in the world of this generation there is always a hidden gems in this world i think what make her that good is that is a songwritter too and that what make her special for me from what i know i prefer morisette her belt seem less tension more resonnace i said that bc i like good belt note more than the agility but everyone has his taste of who is the best
