Also biggie didn't come see him in prison or couldn't give him any information after the fact. And biggie dropped Who Shot Ya whilst Pac was in prison. 27 years later, after everyone has spoken on this, this pretty much sounds like what happened at Quad Studios and how it spiraled into the East/West beef:
    1. After Pac's interview with AJ Benza in the Daily News accusing Haitian Jack of setting him up on the Ayanna Jackson rape case and basically calling him a groupie, Jimmy Henchman arranged to have Pac beat up and robbed to teach him a lesson. According to Gene Deal, Puff and Andre Harrell are eventually told by Jimmy this plan was in motion. Despite being friends with Pac, they say/do nothing because they know who Jimmy is and want no smoke.
    2. Pac wasn't supposed to get shot, just beat up and robbed. But Pac pulled out which they didn't expect, shot himself accidentally while doing so, and when the robbers heard the shot all bets were off and they started shooting too.
    3. According to Gene Deal, Biggie learns what happened afterward, but doesn't tell Pac because he knew Pac would confront Jimmy about it, saying how he found out, and then BIGGIE would be in trouble with Jimmy. And Biggie still had to live in Brooklyn. It was an unfortunate situation because you get why Pac was mad Biggie didn't help him figure things out afterward, Pac always helped his homies when they got into street shit in Cali (see the Treach/Rollin' 60s and Tim Dog in San Francisco situations), but you also get why Biggie didn't.
    4. Pac is incensed, gets convicted of sexual battery, and is shipped off to Clinton Penitentiary to rot. Puff tells Biggie not to respond to Pac's interviews or visit Pac in prison. Ignore everything and don't fuel it so maybe stuff chills out over time. The only person who reaches out to Pac is Suge Knight who offers to get Pac out of prison and give him the street backup he needs to get revenge against the NYC street cats (Jimmy & Jack) who came at him. The rest is deadly history.

He could be hardcore, versatile, loveable, funny, confident, vulnerable, I think just a genuine good human being. But there was too many snakes around that got issues with their selves and projected it on him and was like "yo we gotta put this brigt light out". Sad. Was Biggie and Pac really that close as friends though? I feel like so much of this hip-hop bullshit gets blown out of proportion. Art imitating life and life imitating art. No other genre of music is as great as hip-hop but at the same time no other genre is as synonymous with bullshit "streetlife" built into it that ultimately sabotages the artists, their money and in this case their lives.

Like Cease said, the shit happened so fast. Pac probably was frustrated w/ how everything went and just took it out on BIG and the Mafia, especially being as thought they blew up like never before after he went to jail. Not saying they would've never blown had Pac not went to jail, but that was just the order of events. Just by coincident. Biggie was gonna blow regardless, the talent was there. I just wish him and Pac would have never had that falling out. One of the worst things that could have ever happened to hip-hop. They both peaked practically at the same time. Can you imagine them doing joint projects from 1994 - 1997 had Pac never got robbed and went to jail? I just feel us fans got robbed of what could've been. Rest in peace to both, and everybody else involved that lost their lives (Big Stretch, Syke, etc.).

Then Pac went to jail and no 1 from Bad boy reached out to 2pac to clear the air or visited or write him a letter, which was strike 2. The 3rd strike was when they didnt reach out towards Pac but were able to play "Who Shot Ya." Only when he was in jail, SMDH... on top of that Pac got charged with guns that Junior Mafia left in the apartment and still the East Coast rappers didn't say what's up to Pac and played "Who shot Ya" after Pac got shot. Wasn't really interested in Pacs music at that time. I bought ALL Eyez On Me a year later and became a fanatic ever since. Tupac never accused Biggie of setting him up. Tupac said Puffy was in on it because Jimmy Henchman sent the hit. When Tupac got shot he came up the elevator and Jimmy Henchman was there with Puffy. Tupac was mad at Biggie for not coming and telling him what happened and who did it.

@@machoboyrandyandsavage3439 Pac's view was that Biggie and all the Bad Boy crew at least knew who was behind the whole plan to rob him but wouldn't tell him anything. Obviously if they actually did know who did it and told Pac, that would put them at danger as well, which understandably they probably wanted to avoid. But, Pac's mentality was if you were in the same situation out in LA, you're my homeboy, I would use my pull I have to find out and inform you who it was and be willing to go to war with them if they come after me for telling you. Before all that though, Pac accused Haitian Jack of setting Pac up for the rape allegation charge with Ayanna Jackson, where Pac said they were partying in his hotel room, he hooked up with her and later fell asleep in the room connected to that room. When he woke up, Ayanna was screaming rape to Pac, when Haitian Jack and a couple others Pac didn't know very well were in that room with her. Haitian Jack was a mid level drug dealer. His boss, Jimmy Henchman, didn't take Pac's public rumors of Haitian Jack being responsible for Pac getting the rape charge lightly, so he decided to have Pac beat up and robbed to teach him a lesson. Jimmy was a high level drug dealer in NYC at that time and was well connected. Apparently Puff and Andre Harrell heard about the plan through the grapevine but remained silent given who Jimmy is/was. After the robbery/shooting, Puff told Biggie to not engage with Pac and hopefully things would cool down. That distancing after the incident in Pac's eyes confirmed that they not only knew who was behind it but also may have assisted in helping the robbers know where Pac was going to be. Cease yelling down to Pac to come around the corner from the studio balcony didn't help with Pac's perspective either. I don't think Biggie or Bad Boy was involved and just wanted to avoid Jimmy and Jack (real gangsters) but it's understandable from Pac's view how they could've been involved.
