Highly recommend reading the book series. It's my favorite book series of all time and I reread it every couple of years. The movies don't even begin to do them justice.
I agree. I've read the whole series, but The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe was required reading for us in 6th grade. I guess thats why I'm always a bit surprised when people don't know anything about this story because it was something they made us read in school. Also, this is a remake. LOL, there was even an old-school version of the Lion, Witch, and Wardrobe movie that they made us watch during school hours. The rest of the series I had to read on my own time.
@@irenemichelleanne the BBC movies! I remember them! My first experience with these was actually my grandmother reading them to me starting when I was 6 years old. By the time I was in 5th grade when it became required reading, I'd already gone through 5 of the 7 books.
Nah I've given up reading books. Also given how (in my opinion) boring the Prince Caspian and Voyage of the Dawn Treader movies are, I probably wouldn't want to read them even if I hadn't given up reading books.
"Any particular reason there's just a random singular lamp post out in the middle of the forest?" Actually, it's explained in the books! That lamp post actually grew in that very spot.
I loved this. There are so few Narnia reactions. I love when they all go through and Lucy has her moment to brag. Please react to the other two movies in this series. Most likely unpopular opinion I prefer the other two movies for some reason.
@@MoviesinDepth No, it was Harry Gregson Williams. I just meant most of my favorite movie scores are composed by Hans, so Narnia is extra special to me given it was composed by someone OTHER than Hans haha. Sorry for the confusion!
"any particular reason there is a singular lamp post in the middle of the forest" if i don't remember wrong that lamp post is from the literal dawn of creation of narnia
Good to see you enjoy this movie, it’s a great adaptation of some of my favourite books. One thing that is better explained in the books is that the Witch’s food is enchanted if I remember correctly so while Edmund is a pretty bad person at the start he’s not completely awful. Also, if you read the first book, The Magician’s Nephew you get an explanation for why the professor seems to know about the wardrobe and see more about the Witch as well. Hope you’ll watch the second one as well, it’s also very good.
My favorite part about Narnia is that it isn’t an “allegory” per se, but actually a multiverse series. Narnia is supposed to be an alternate reality, but God is bigger than any universe he creates so Aslan don’t just “represent” Jesus - he literally IS Jesus! He even says, “In your world I go by another Name. You must learn to know me by that Name.” Aslan, true ruler of Narnia, Son of the Emperor-Over-The-Seas, Long may He reign.
4:39 I know why we shake hands, it's a sign of security and competence between two parties - ✋nothing in my hand 🤝nothing in my sleeves Edit: Freaking loved that JCS reference XD
Please watch the sequel! The first movie is obv the best but as sequels go it’s actlly amazing and almost as good. Such a unique plot and thought out characters
I can't count times I watched Narnia trilogy :D I recommend the books too. And watching it makes me happy not only because I love the story and characters, but also because some of the pictures for the film were shot in my country. Both parts - the lion, the witch and the wardrobe and prince caspian - were shot in one of the Polish mountain ranges and if I'm not mistaken, in this movie it's the scene where children and beavers walk across a frozen river.
Handshakes- originally were more like the warrior arm grasp, and meant to signify that you didn’t have a knife in your hand or up a sleeve. Sort of a “we are starting this relationship in trust” sort of a thing.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR REACTING TO THIS!! This franchise was my entire childhood, alongside Harry Potter. Amazing video. Keep going! Btw, Narnia fan giving Narnia facts coming ahead... Please, you don't need to read them all if you don't want to, this is extremely long, sorry!! 2:23 Yes! It was World War II and the train scene was the first one they filmed on June 23, 2003 (I swear, it's worrying that I know the date) 2:31 This Narnia movie was actually Disney's highest grossing film of 2005! 3:21 Nope, in this movie not. But I'm telling you, after this one, Edmund becomes the best character in the whole franchise, mostly in the books. His character development is amazing. “But even a traitor may mend, I have known one that did” -Edmund Pevensie 3:44 This is actually Georgie Henley's (Lucy) real reaction. They blindfolded her before entering the set, and started filming when she entered it for the first time. 3:51 There is! It's explained in one of the books (which unfortunately doesn't have a movie) but long story short, that lamppost came from London and the one who put it there by accident, was the White Witch, a century before Lucy stepped for the first time in Narnia. The only ones who saw it, were Digory Kirke (Yes, the professor) alongside his friend, Polly Plummer, when they were kids. But C. S. Lewis (the author) main idea to put a lamppost over there was because he made a bet with J. R. R. Tolkien (author of LOTR) who was his best friend, because he said it was impossible that a fantasy world had a lamppost in it. 6:04 He is the lion I- HAHAHA 7:20 HE IS HERE TOO HAHAHAHA 7:53 Ok, something that they never mention in the movies, but the books describes, is that the hot chocolate and the turkish delight were enchanted. They would make Edmund obsessed with them, therefore, he would search them no matter what. She basically drugged him. Which still is no excuse to be mean to your family, since 10-year-old Edmund approached her and was interested without them at the beginning. But the decision to sell his family and betray them, wasn't made with him being “sober”. 7:48 I had the same question, but it actually makes sense. In WWII, candy was limited since it was given to the soldiers who were on the field, so people at the time rarely ate chocolate or some other sort of candy. And of course, as a child, this would be one of the first things you will ask for if you haven't eaten one for months. BUT A FUN FACT ABOUT THIS PART OF THE MOVIE is that Skandar Keynes (Edmund) had to eat 37 pieces of turkish delight for this scene. He hasn't even tried them again after that. 9:39 Would you believe me if I told you that the majority of the locations that you see here, are real? Except from the entrance of Narnia and the White Witch Castle and some others where you can see the difference in the background, they filmed this in New Zealand. The second movie is the one where each location you see, is real, with no exception. 10:18 The director of Shrek is the same one of Narnia HAHAHA 11:28 No wonder why both authors were best friends… 18:36 I'm sorry, but I can't with this too HAHAHA 19:11 PREACH 21:44 I think you know it already by the comments, but yeah, there's the theory about them being the four founders of Hogwarts. And although maybe a lot of people already told you that Edmund is a Slytherin and Susan a Ravenclaw, in the books, your predictions are all right! 22:14 15 years, to be exact... 22:54 PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, WE BEG YOU. YOU'LL LOVE THEM. PLEASE. 23:03 Lucy entering Narnia, the coronation and for some reason, the transition to the battle sequence with the map and the soundtrack on the back, chef kiss. -There are 7 books in total and if you read them in chronological order, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is the second one, actually. But in publication order, it is the first one. Disney made the movies following the publication order. -The audition for the 4 Pevensies took 18 months for the kids. The most creepy thing is that in her first audition, Georgie Henley was asked which of her family members would she eat first, if she was in a desert without food. She was 6 at the time... But also to achieve a genuine performance, they didn't allow Skandar Keynes (Edmund) to meet the other three actors (who already knew each other) until they were on set, to have him more uncomfortable and isolated for his character. Again, thank you so so so much for this!!
I know this movie word by word, I watched it soooo many times I consumed the dvd! it was my fav story back when I was a child, my grandma had a wardrobe pretty similar to the one in the movie and I used to hide inside it thinking about Narnia lol. when I rewatch it it brings back many beautiful memories, loved the reaction! ❤

I remember reading or hearing somewhere that the reason we shake hands is because in medieval times a sword was normally sat on a soldier's non-dominant side so it could easily be grabbed by the dominant hand (most likely the right). Shaking with the right hand when meeting someone was a sign of goodwill and truce, since you can't draw your sword on someone when your dominant hand is occupied.
I can't say how much I LOVE this movie enough. It's so amazingly great! My #1 fav Narnia movie are tied with the first and second one, but I haven't seen the second one since it was added to Disney+ so I need to rewatch it so see. I cried so hard to the point I was gasping/taking deep breathes of air during Aslans death scene. Edmund is so annoying in this movie besides towards the end and all, but definitely like his character more in the second and third one from what I remember. Edmunds is definitely a Slytherin tho not a Ravenclaw. Love your videos! You do an amazing job! Would love to see reactions to the other two Chronicles of Narnia movies and The Sound of Music!
The reason we shake hands when we first meet is actually rather simple. It originated as clasping forearms which was a way to make sure there wasn't a hidden weapon up there sleeve, over time the people who trusted each other only half heartedly would clasp hands which evolved into shaking hands.
This movie sparked my interest in Narnia. I’ve seen every film adaptions, read every books, and even had the chance to play Fenris Ulf and Father Christmas in the stage play adaption. Unfortunately complications and Covid kept us from performing. Hopefully I’ll get to do it someday. 🦁🧙🏻♀️🚪

Thx for choosing this as your next movie to react to i can't wait to see your reaction. Love you and your videos your reactions everything ,thx for the time and hard work you put in to your videos for us viewers.
Oh my gosh the fact you're watching on of my favorite movies of all time. I try to watch it at least every year. I love it so much and I used to have a crush on William Moseley, who played Peter Pevensie.
If you consider this was war time and rationing was in place, it starts to make more sense that Edmund would be so drawn to sweets and that kind of promise Aside from the sequels I think you should watch St Trinians (2007) and Big fat liar
These movies were always super special to me! I love that the cast are still in touch to this day! They did a reunion a year or two ago and it was amazing to see them all together again! Georgie Henley (Lucy) has grown into a beautiful young woman! I still have hopes they someday do another Narnia movie. There's a book focused on the Pevensie siblings' time as rulers before they returned to the real world. Would love to see them all reunite to do a movie adaption of that! Although I think Skandler (Edmund) no longer acts so I don't know if it's a possibility.
My favorite scene in this movie is easily the the armies charging toward each other. The visuals of seeing these mythological creatures (centaurs, fawns, minotaurs, etc.), mixed with talking animals riding into battle next to this teenage boy is so awesome and couple that with the epic score they recorded for that scene.. it gives me chills ever damn time!

So in Sunday school my sister and I really didn't want to talk about the bible, so we convinced our teacher to let us watch these movies in class since they're based on the bible. The teacher was really curious about what Turkish delights were and decided to make some so we could have them in class, and she really enjoyed making them. This actually led to her starting her own business where she made and sold Turkish delights.
The professor is named Diggory, and is in fact the main character in the book the magician's Nephew, one thing he does in that story is bring an apple from Narnia back to our world that has the ability to cure his ailing mother. After curing her he plans the core which grown an apple tree. While the apples are not magic or have healing powers like the original there the best apples around. Once the tree gets cut down some years later the wood is used to make the wardrobe in which the kids travel to Narnia on this movie.
You're almost right, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is the originator of most British fantasy stories. C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien (Lord of the Rings) were buds and wanted to create some type of folklore for England since most of it was lost. Plus they were both Christians and put a lot of hidden meanings in their stories related to the Bible.
Spoilers for Magician's Nephew: The professor is actually Diggory, one of the two children who first entered Narnia at it's creation. The wardrobe is built from magical Narnian wood, the professor has a good idea of what's going on 😁
Love the Narnia movies!! When we were little kids my friends and I would play pretend & recreate the final battle scene in my backyard using pool noodles as swords 😆
Yes there is a reason there is a random lamp post in the middle of the wood. But its explained in the magician's Nephew which is a prequel that they sadly never made into a movie
The heartbeat and silence as they run into the battle always gets me. Just a beautiful film, I wish we could have gotten a complete series. Maybe it''ll be redone as a tv series. ☺️
In the book, it's made pretty clear that the turkish delight put Edmund under a spell and made it so it was all he could think about. That's why he kept betraying them for something so small. Or at least that's how I remember it. It's been a while.
OMG YAY! huge narnia fan here. you should totes read the books as well! they are so effing cool. plus, reading the lion, the witch and the wardrobe on christmas eve hits different :)
Mr Tumnus has a Pan's flûte because satyres play music in mythology and this instrument was created by the greek god Pan who is a satyre himself. The " floating flower " is a dryad, a nymph of the trees. Oh, and for answering at your question, they stay in Narnia during 15 years. Fun fact : the two actresses playing Lucy in the movie (child and adult) are sisters in the real life You should watch " The little vampire " because Anna Popplewell (Susan) plays on it (she was very young)
I love that you’ve reacted to this movie!! I don’t think there are many reactions, so thank you so much for doing this! I would LOVE to see you react to the sequels!! 😄 I love the movie, but I can’t think of a favorite part. I will talk about one moment though (warning for possibly heavy topic), you know that part when they escaped on the frozen river? When they got back on land, they noticed Peter didn’t have Lucy with him, only her coat, and there was a brief moment of panic with Susan shouting at Peter (if I remember correctly). Then there’s the relieving moment when Lucy shows up and Peter places her soaked coat on her, which to me felt like trying to make up for an almost tragic situation. I describe this part to say, as an oldest sibling, I could FEEL that alarming situation, and maybe even how Peter felt in that moment. The possibility of a younger or youngest sibling in danger when YOU should’ve been watching them. It is TERRIFYING. This might be one of the only moments where I feel like I can actually connect/relate to in media 😰 Sorry for that downer, and thank you again for this video! If you did react to Peter Pan, I’ll go watch that video too, because I love that movie as well!! (Edit) Oh wait! There IS a possible favorite part of mine! When Aslan says, “Don’t cite the Deep Magic to ME, Witch. *I was there when it was written.* “
I am so glad you reacted to this!! The Chronicles of Narnia trilogy especially The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is my favorite Disney movie of all time!! The movies made m exercise to read the books!
The pan flutes are not named after Peter Pan, they are named after the greek god Pan, who also resembles a faun or satyr. Also, they aren't jaguars, they are cheetahs.
Another fun fact, the professor is from the first book, the magicians nephew, and was the first human to visit Narnia as it was created and he is how the white which got there, he was a child in the story.
Narnia is an awesome story! I think it's an awesome fantasy story, it's like he wrote that yearning to one day travel to a fantasy world too, just like everyone of us. I would love to have my door turned into a wardrobe door so that it can lead me to a forest and I can just pretend that it's Narnia
I was never catholic or in a catholic school but I absolutely loved this movie and the other ones too. I think I just didn't realize the context as a kid. I kinda wish they continued to make movies for the other books.
“Is there a reason there’s a lamppost here?” Actually yes. I believe it was Tolkien or another author that was friends with C.S. Lewis who said something along the lines of that you can’t make a fantasy story with a lamppost in the woods. So he did
Yeah, we had an armoire in our house when I was a kid (similar to a wardrobe, but divided into two sections, one side with shelves). I tried several times to get to Narnia through it. It didn't work.

Yes. Yes. And yes.
Highly recommend reading the book series. It's my favorite book series of all time and I reread it every couple of years. The movies don't even begin to do them justice.
I may have to check them out!
The book series has its flaws and some sexist undertones, but i guess that's because of the time it was written in.
Tumnus is derived from the word Autumnus, meaning the changing of the seasons. It represents his changing attitudes.
The thirst for the Ice Queen is very relatable.
One of my favorite movie franchise scores of all time 🙌🏻🙌🏻
Which is saying something, given that I'm a die-hard Hans Zimmer fan.
THIS WAS HANS
It’s Harry Gregson Williams :)
🤯🤯🤯
You must learn to know me by that Name.”
Aslan, true ruler of Narnia, Son of the Emperor-Over-The-Seas, Long may He reign.
YEAH! I LOVE IT! 😄
4:39 I know why we shake hands, it's a sign of security and competence between two parties -
✋nothing in my hand
🤝nothing in my sleeves
Edit: Freaking loved that JCS reference XD
Definitely check out the sequel Prince Caspian it’s incredible
👀👀👀
Please watch the sequel! The first movie is obv the best but as sequels go it’s actlly amazing and almost as good. Such a unique plot and thought out characters
CASPIAN IS AMAZING
I can't count times I watched Narnia trilogy :D I recommend the books too. And watching it makes me happy not only because I love the story and characters, but also because some of the pictures for the film were shot in my country. Both parts - the lion, the witch and the wardrobe and prince caspian - were shot in one of the Polish mountain ranges and if I'm not mistaken, in this movie it's the scene where children and beavers walk across a frozen river.
♥️♥️♥️
"Yeah, Susan. Why don't you just grow up."
Anyone whose ever read The Last Battle: 😐
watching these movies in theatres was quite the experience when I was younger lol, I didn't realize Liam Neeson was Aslan years later
He will find you. And he will save you.
@@MoviesinDepth I'm dead I knew a taken reference was coming lol
Handshakes- originally were more like the warrior arm grasp, and meant to signify that you didn’t have a knife in your hand or up a sleeve. Sort of a “we are starting this relationship in trust” sort of a thing.
THANK YOU SO SO SO MUCH FOR REACTING TO THIS!! This franchise was my entire childhood, alongside Harry Potter. Amazing video. Keep going!
Btw, Narnia fan giving Narnia facts coming ahead... Please, you don't need to read them all if you don't want to, this is extremely long, sorry!!
2:23 Yes! It was World War II and the train scene was the first one they filmed on June 23, 2003 (I swear, it's worrying that I know the date)
2:31 This Narnia movie was actually Disney's highest grossing film of 2005!
3:21 Nope, in this movie not. But I'm telling you, after this one, Edmund becomes the best character in the whole franchise, mostly in the books. His character development is amazing. “But even a traitor may mend, I have known one that did” -Edmund Pevensie
3:44 This is actually Georgie Henley's (Lucy) real reaction.
6:04 He is the lion I- HAHAHA
7:20 HE IS HERE TOO HAHAHAHA
7:53 Ok, something that they never mention in the movies, but the books describes, is that the hot chocolate and the turkish delight were enchanted.
10:18 The director of Shrek is the same one of Narnia HAHAHA
11:28 No wonder why both authors were best friends…
18:36 I'm sorry, but I can't with this too HAHAHA
19:11 PREACH
21:44 I think you know it already by the comments, but yeah, there's the theory about them being the four founders of Hogwarts.
18:08 the dog's face! Evan how did you not see it?! Both adorable at the same time ❤💔 😢
I’m not perceptive 😭😭
@@MoviesinDepth Aw I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel bad! I'm able to notice even the smallest detail in things - it's kind of one of my autistic traits, very detail oriented - but it's barely 5 seconds, so you wouldn't notice it unless you're looking for the detail x
That "Are you with me?" "To the death" still gets me as an adult! Chills!
I highly suggest you read the books! Easy read, beautiful story, and you learn about the lamppost and wardrobe origins and a million other things!
The first time Lucy saw the winter scene was the first time she actually saw it. And the light post thing is from the first book!
That’s possibly my favourite thing about this movie, the fact that Georgie Henley’s reaction is real! 🥰
I remember this movie I love it so much I watched this many many times all of the Narnia movies and the last one I have the CD.
My favourite character is Lucy .
You have what I call TASTE
grew up watching them and love them
If you consider this was war time and rationing was in place, it starts to make more sense that Edmund would be so drawn to sweets and that kind of promise
Aside from the sequels I think you should watch St Trinians (2007) and Big fat liar
It's funny to think about it when I remember being scared like hell watching this movie as a kid
I could totally see that
Lmao! You say the professor at Hogwarts, but I will always see him as the Theater owner in Moulin Rouge.
Oh boy.. another thing I haven’t seen
@@MoviesinDepth 🤯🫣 That’s your next movie!
Couldn't have said it any better 🙏🏻
NO NO NO OMG OMG OMG YOU ACTUALLY DID IT!!!!
I'M SO EARLY, OMG. BUT LIKE, OMG.
HAHAHA I CAN'T EVEN PRONOUNCE A WORD RIGHT NOW.
YOU ACTUALLY ACCEPTED THE REQUEST!!! YOU ARE THE BEST!!!!
Although I don't know if you liked it, doesn't matter, I have to give you a huge thank you for doing it. Sadly, I'm not going to be on time for the premiere, but once I'm able to enter UA-cam, this is a must-watch, that's for sure! CAN'T WAIT.
THANK YOU SO SO SO SO SO MUCH AGAIN!!!! YOU ACTUALLY DID MY DAY!
That’s brilliant
The professor is named Diggory, and is in fact the main character in the book the magician's Nephew, one thing he does in that story is bring an apple from Narnia back to our world that has the ability to cure his ailing mother. After curing her he plans the core which grown an apple tree. While the apples are not magic or have healing powers like the original there the best apples around. Once the tree gets cut down some years later the wood is used to make the wardrobe in which the kids travel to Narnia on this movie.
I feel like Edmund is the kind of kid that tries to steal from the candy jar when the parents aren't looking 🤣
This entire movies plot
The soundtrack for this movie is perfection
YES
The story of the lamp post is explained in the novel The Magicians Nephew. The nephew is actually the professor as a child.
This was such a childhood favourite. My favourite is Peter. Also, Tilda Swinton Supremacy 🔥
YES
i’ve been waiting for this one! this was the first movie i ever watched and it holds a special place in my heart :)
♥️♥️♥️♥️
Amazingly enough, you are actually reacting to a *Christian* movie!! 😃😃
Actually they say, Lucy is hufflepuff 💛, Edmund is slytherin 💚, Susan is ravenclaw 💙 and Peter is griffindor❤
Woot. Read the book in grade 6 and awe the okay. It was so fun they ripped our tickets and we had to go through the wardrobe to get into the theatre
LOL
I listen to this movies soundtrack to sleep, fr Narnia was my childhood dream world to visit.
Spoilers for Magician's Nephew:
The professor is actually Diggory, one of the two children who first entered Narnia at it's creation. The wardrobe is built from magical Narnian wood, the professor has a good idea of what's going on 😁
I remember seeing this movie in theaters and let me tell you that battlescene on the big screen as a child was intense!
If only I had paid attention…
I remember reading a couple of the books when I was a kid back in the 80s. I think I only watched this movie from start to finish once.
I loved Narnia. And my favourite characters are Oreius and Aslan
As much as I love your reactions, I'm kind of addicted to the comments. They're teaching me so much! My own little Turkish Delights!!!
Love the Narnia movies!!
When we were little kids my friends and I would play pretend & recreate the final battle scene in my backyard using pool noodles as swords 😆
Please react to the last 2 Narnia movies:
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
There are two more movies to this series!!! Yesss!
Watch the second one! Prince Caspian! It’s amazing ❤️
👀👀👀
Truly it is
Sometimes I even prefer the 2nd one, it is slightly more mature and I just love it
What a wonderful novel based film this is, one of the best I’ve seen!
Yes!!
Yes there is a reason there is a random lamp post in the middle of the wood. But its explained in the magician's Nephew which is a prequel that they sadly never made into a movie
Hi Narnia the Lion the witch and the wardrobe was one of my favorite movies I read the book when I was younger I loved it ❤️
The heartbeat and silence as they run into the battle always gets me. Just a beautiful film, I wish we could have gotten a complete series. Maybe it''ll be redone as a tv series. ☺️
This was amazing keep up the great work and can you please watch the other Narnia movies. Thank you and have a great rest of your day/week
Thank you!!
The lion is what got me into these movies when I was little!
In the book, it's made pretty clear that the turkish delight put Edmund under a spell and made it so it was all he could think about. That's why he kept betraying them for something so small. Or at least that's how I remember it. It's been a while.
I don't really see alot of youtubers reacting to narnia loved your video would love to see your reaction to the other movies
OMG YAY! huge narnia fan here. you should totes read the books as well!
they are so effing cool. plus, reading the lion, the witch and the wardrobe on christmas eve hits different :)
Ohhh don’t throw Christmas into the mix, you gonna have me actin up
Mr Tumnus has a Pan's flûte because satyres play music in mythology and this instrument was created by the greek god Pan who is a satyre himself.
The " floating flower " is a dryad, a nymph of the trees.
Oh, and for answering at your question, they stay in Narnia during 15 years.
Fun fact : the two actresses playing Lucy in the movie (child and adult) are sisters in the real life
You should watch " The little vampire " because Anna Popplewell (Susan) plays on it (she was very young)
omgg this series was my childhood
I finally get to be apart of it!!
I love that you’ve reacted to this movie!! I don’t think there are many reactions, so thank you so much for doing this! I would LOVE to see you react to the sequels!! 😄
I love the movie, but I can’t think of a favorite part. This might be one of the only moments where I feel like I can actually connect/relate to in media 😰
Sorry for that downer, and thank you again for this video!
Can’t wait to watch
The pan flutes are not named after Peter Pan, they are named after the greek god Pan, who also resembles a faun or satyr.
Also, they aren't jaguars, they are cheetahs.
The actress who plays the Ice queen Tilda Swinton is also the Ancient One in Doctor Strange!!
This is such a good movie 🙂
hope you also watch the sequels 😭 love your movie reactions and the narnia chronicles is one of my favorite childhood movies 💗💗💗
Only just found this channel but your input is the most funny shit. Love the video 😂😂😂
If you didn't know the author of Narnia (C.S.Lewis) was best friends with the author of Lord of the Rings (Tolkien)
Him: is there any reason there’s a lamppost there
Me: ‘ sighs’ if only they had made a movie of the first book
MoviesInDepth simping over Tilda Swinton was something I was not expecting but I’m ok with a Pale Power Couple.
I was expecting many things. Thirsting over the ice witch wasn’t one of them lol
😘😘😘
Another fun fact, the professor is from the first book, the magicians nephew, and was the first human to visit Narnia as it was created and he is how the white which got there, he was a child in the story.
It was the first book chronologically with respect to the story, however it was the sixth one published.
Plz watch the next oneee. Prince Caspian is one of my favorite shows
“Is there a reason there’s a lamppost here?” Actually yes. I believe it was Tolkien or another author that was friends with C.S. Lewis who said something along the lines of that you can’t make a fantasy story with a lamppost in the woods. So he did
You missed the secret ending where the professor catches Lucy trying to go back but can't.
Yeah, we had an armoire in our house when I was a kid (similar to a wardrobe, but divided into two sections, one side with shelves). I tried several times to get to Narnia through it. It didn't work.
Fun fact: C.S. Lewis and J.R.R .Tolkien were good friends in college and he encouraged JRR to publish LOTR because he’s never written fantasy before
