I"m just starting to grasp it after several months, glad I'm not alone. And then add Favorites on your list! But in all fairness I'm still gigging with my old keyboard. Now if I can just figure out when you need to use the Sample Import and DAW Control to make changes. It's not making any sense yet. I'm thinking that's if you want to make a new user patch, using either an existing one to modify, or importing something. But for existing stuff why can't you just edit a Patch and save it? Anyway, still a mystery, but I'm sure not for long.
Thanks Ed. This new brass patch is going to sound fantastic with the band. I love your teaching style. I just dug in and created some pianos like I knew what I was doing!!
Cheers Ed ,I have recently bought a DS 61 to replace a Juno D and thanks ( not !!) to Wuhan Flu have plenty of time on my hands to play and prgram our bands sound requirements in the unit . the manual is OK but Ed's videos just make things much clearer to someone of my relatively advanced years and limited technical nous ,thank you Roland for a great piece of kit at a small price , stay safe we will be out there gigging again sometime soon
I'd have multiple instances of Bari at difference intervals on the keyboard, in that lower Reg, so that even if I'm playing in the upper Reg on other instruments Bari would still be hit'in dat low. A little extra work but you only have to do it once and you're set. :) You could have multi-instances of same instruments, in multi octaves on the same side of the keyboard if you're playing the same thing on left and right hand, then one or the other if free to improvise something different, except runs in different directions like you did at the end. Which was sweet!!!
Sir i just want to ask if you already played or seen the 76keys juno ds? I just want to know regarding with the size of the keys, if it is the same with 61keys or the 88 keys? Thank you sir🙏
They're 1 centimeter longer than the 61 version and pretty more comfortable to play. They're still light-weighted but way better than the 61's. I got one and it's been awesome
When I try to select a patch for part 1 on my Juno-DS and I press ENTER, I don't see sounds grouped by type (BRASS, VOCAL/PAD, SYNTH, etc...) but by DS, PRST, GM, EXP and USER. How can I see all the patches grouped by sound type (BRASS, VOCAL/PAD, ...) as you do? Thanks
Why do all the init user performances have pianos in all the parts? After I put my sound in part 1 there are 15 other parts with piano playing! Why are they there? How do you get rid of the piano parts? That isn't an "init", that's a 16 part piano performance! At the patch setting 4:23 all the other parts are off but I'm still hearing the pianos, why??
Hi, My old yamaha which probably didn't even have 50 % of the DS features, was able to record any song (with 6 different tracks) on the on-board sequencer. So I could easily record upto 6 tracks and the length of each track was easily more than 7-8 mins ( I didn't check the limit but I could record on and on for several minutes). Then I could use that song with all 6 tracks mixed and play in the background while I am playing live another instrument for example. This was possible without involving any USB or a computer. I found out that DS has an on-board sequencer which can record patterns but only upto 8 measures? So is it not possible to record an instrumental ensemble, which is rather long (say 10 mins or more and without any loops)? It's hard to believe that JUNO DS will have this limitation that my 15 year old keyboard did not have. Or should I look somewhere else outside of sequencers? thanks

Hi, everyone! I'd like to know if someone can help me create a Hammond sound on the Juno-DS / XPS-30. I saw this video (ua-cam.com/video/oZfuy_0NOII/v-deo.html) on UA-cam and found out it's possible to achieve that sound on this keyboard. However, I'm not sure how to get the same good result. Can anyone help me, please?

Next time please make Finger board like krog & Yamaha. Roland finger borad are too small & short
