So thankful for this video dice, I just bought a jumpstart kit and the full core rule book for cyberpunk red to do a homebrew campaign and as a 5e veteran I was so confused about how combat works but you pretty much cleared all of my questions over the ranged combat, looking forward to more of this content in the future!
Just one question I do have though for the rolls, when you roll the xd6 against the attacker is their armor still taken into account, like say I rolled 2d10 and got 16 while an enemy's sp was 15, but on my xd6 roll I got a 14, would that attack be void or still take off of the opponents hp?

Armor comes into play only when taking damage. To hit, you are rolling against the DV that is in the chart.
So you roll a d10, add in your bonuses, and let's say that's a 14 when you needed a 13. You hit, you're fine. You then roll your damage which would be, for example, 4d6. Your result is 12, and your enemy has 11 SP armor on. You'll deal only 1 damage to their HP, cause 11 of that damage is absorbed by the armor. Their armor then is ablated and is reduced to 10 SP.
But if you rolled a 10 for damage, and they had that 11 SP, yes your damage is gone entirely. The attack is voided. So armor works really like armor, it absorbs damage but if it is hit with too much, it'll get weakened.

i do like the depth but simplicity of reds combat. and that combat is well scary there it a good chance that you might not make it out or if you do you might need some new chrome and rest time.
