    I have to say the quality of the content in this video was outstanding. I follow practically every tech guy that talks about the ATEM Mini and I was shocked to see how clear this was. And the fact you have less than a thousand subscribers caught me off guard. Would LOVE to see if there is a way you could go more step by step. You for sure made it sound easy, that in practice I for sure get stuck hahaha

    I've been watching several of your videos having recently (this week) acquired an ATEM pro and a Stream deck (today), planning to make my production much easier - perhaps even starting to create some live streams.
    (lord help you all)
    That being said, I have a few comments
    You production is outstanding
    It barely shows that you are using a teleprompter, in my case is shows a lot - maybe I'm just less used to it than you are
    I love how you have the artistic flair to light the background - this is definitely an area where I could take one giant leap for mankind
    Your explanations are perfect, it shows that you take the time to create a script that flows well and hits all the points
    You clear know your equipment and know how to tie it all together
    The only thing that I wished would be improved was your posting schedule, more please... much more
    That being said, I will definitely be on the look out for more content
    Do you take content requests? I think go to the basics, for example you showed how to create a lower third in another video and then create a macro to display it
    I don't think your stuff applies to "live" content only, I think it can definitely be very useful for all of us engineers that have very little artistic ability (even when I ride my Harley I wear only black ;-) )
    Well done, you channel may appear small but this is an illusion as it packs a major punch.

      You've truly brightened my day! Thanks so much for all the kind feedback and compliments-I really appreciate them. Regarding my posting schedule, I totally agree; I'd love to share content more frequently, but my full-time job and travel commitments often get in the way. I'm excited for my next episode, though, which will explore green screen techniques and the ATEM Mini. The script is ready to go-I just need to film and edit it.

    In Macros can we also implement videos (e.g. Lower Thirds in .mov or .mp4 format, imported to ATE Mini Pro) or would they have to be still images only ?
    In other words can the animation be prepared somewhere else and imported to the ATEM device or does it need to be composed within the ATEM system ?

    • @CreateConsumeRepeat

    1) Actors in the stage
    2) Actors in the stage together with PIP (pre-recorded video coming from another computer).
    Is there any way to create a macro to "call" each video and at the same time create the PIP, and then go back to the main scene (without PIP)?

    Hi man thanks for this video 👍
    I am an IT instructor and I had a Sony mirrorless and gopro beforehand.
    I have invested in to Mac mini M1, Atem Mini Pro, Stream Deck, a main 34” inch monitor and seperate multiview monitor for atem mini monitor output.
    I can control my scene with atem macros combined with stream deck companion app.
    But obs makes things much easier like overlays transactions etc. So I want to integrate obs in to my system.
    Since I am using my mac mini to share my desktop and stream via obs on the same device seems like a bad idea.
    I dont want to use software switcher like obs instead of hardware switcher atem mini.
    Do you have a suggestion how can I combine atem mini with obs and companion app?

    • @CreateConsumeRepeat
      @CreateConsumeRepeat  3 роки тому +1

      I have a full episode on integrating OBS, the Companion app, ATEM and the Stream Deck. As for your question, the easiest way to continue to use OBS and share your desktop is to get another Mac / PC and connect it via an HDMI input. That way you can keep your animated transitions but share your desktop without any issues. Obviously this is a very expensive solution. The other solution is creating a complex macro on the stream deck that closes the OBS display window when you plan to share your desktop then turns the OBS display window back on when you aren’t sharing your desktop. This will also require an app like Keyboard Maestro. Which allows you to automate MacOS tasks. Personally I would avoid this method since it can be very time consuming to setup and tricky.

    • @CreateConsumeRepeat
      @CreateConsumeRepeat  3 роки тому

      I have OBS running on my iMac which is being pumped into HDMI port 4. In the episode that explains stingers you can see this in effect. As for using the ISO with OBS, I don’t own the ISO but if I had to make it work I would use the USBC port to record each input and have OBS running on one of the HDMI ports. Hope that helps.

    • @kaevOne
      @kaevOne 3 роки тому

      @@CreateConsumeRepeat Thanks for your answer... But the 4HDMI ports are just inputs right?! so how does the atem know, that is has to deliver the signal to the pc? the outhdmi would be used for a second monitor for multiview..

    • @CreateConsumeRepeat
      @CreateConsumeRepeat  3 роки тому

      It won’t deliver the signal. There is no way to use the USB -C port to record and connect to OBS. You need to pick one. I only use OBS for overlaying graphics on the downstream or upstream key via and HDMI port. If I may ask what do you plan to do with OBS?

    • @kaevOne
      @kaevOne 3 роки тому

      @@CreateConsumeRepeat mate, i am sorry. i dont get it how it works together... so you stream via ethernet directly to your router and use obs over hdmi out to do stingers and position your alert boxes (can you set streamstart, pause and end animations too?)? and that works? that's so confusing to me and yea i know that i cant split the usb-c port...

    I could try and pitch my church on purchasing ATEM Extreme Pro ISO for the extra inputs, but I don't think I'm going to get them to bite on that. I understand the Fill and Key on the ATEM, and I know ProPresenter, and EasyWorship is like in some way. We currently have Easy Worship, and I'm looking to do a setup with ATEM Mini Pro ISO. I want to have 3-PTZ cameras feeding inputs 1-3, and then 1-HDMI Input (No. 4) from the Computer. I want to do both Fill and Key on that input. Could I use a StreamDeck and create macro buttons that would switch my output display type from PC, then the input type on ATM back and forth between Fill and Key? I want to do Lower-Thirds lyrics over the LiveStream video, and then Switch to Full Screen for Announcements, or Videos we may play during the service, so they are on the LiveStream as well. I want to be able to stream from the ATEM to Restream.io
    Does this sound Possible?

I'm trying to avoid the viewers getting seasick with such a view change live. All my other transistions happen in preview then fade in to live but this view has to change live or I may have to change something.
