@charleshetrick3152 I just never thought about it. But there is a difference between C clip and E clip. You are correct that's an E. E hand tab in center. Cs don't. Thanks for correction. I am big on correct terms but never thought about it when making vid. I have a newer on when I put anouther rifle in chassis and do trigger. I haven't published yet. Wonder what I called it?

If you want a super budget trigger job, you might take springs out of ink pens that don't work anymore that you are going to trash anyway. I did that with a few ink pens that didn't work anymore, and the springs were the correct diameter and reduced weight. I did cut the spring to the length of the Ruger spring and installed it and got a good 2-pound trigger. For $0 investment. I did end up losing my e-clip and had to order a set of very small e-clips. But I will always have those for any future repairs if I lose any e-clips in the first future. I have done trigger jobs on some Remington Sendero's a number of years ago using disposable lighter springs for reduced springs getting trigger pulls down to as low as 1 pound. Those triggers are more complex, and I am just saying what I have done not recommending anyone else with little or no experience with triggers to do. All of this trigger reduction is at the risk of the owner and will nullify the warranty.
Thanks for the advice. I have heard that before. Also heard of people just taking out all together. Have had alot of people message me wanting to know SKU# part numbers for springs. Springs are all around you just need to look...
I simply cut the ruger factory spring a curl or two , after setting at light. So i can tighten up if needed, i think the original spring is lifetime. Unlike a cheap store bought.
Thank you so much for that! So many people have asked for part number on video I did several years ago. I didn't know I just got it out of part bin. When you make video after the fact hard to remember. There are tons of sources. www.mcmaster.com Fastenall. Being taught that it’s an “E” clip your whole machining career and then hear a dude call it a “c” over and over…I need a drink.
Mechanics call them C clips. Guess I should look in manual and see what ruger calls it

Most people I know call them Jesus clips.
When they fly off into space, the first words out of their mouth is Aww Jesus!

Didn't write it down. Lots of people just cut a coil off or even remove completely.
