Rolands Andy Pimblott takes us through some tips and tricks on the Roland SE-02 so that you can really get the most out of your synth!
The Roland SE-02 Analogue Synthesizer is a powerful synthesizer module, developed in collaboration with Studio Electronics.
The SE-02 Analog Synthesizer includes a totally analog synth engine with three voltage-controlled oscillators, as well as a low-pass filter and a dual gain-stage amplifier. The oscillators on the Roland SE-02 include six varied waveforms with warm and complex tonal characteristics.
It also boasts over 384 preset sounds ranging from classic sounds, to modern, cutting-edge tones. The SE-2 Analogue Synth also includes a 16-step sequencer which can be synced via MIDI, USB or trigger inputs. It also includes standard MIDI jacks for connecting any MIDI keyboard controller.

Just got an SE-02 today 🔥🤘🏼💯....debating on the stand/tray to go with it🤔.... I already have enough midi keys lying around but I love the functionality & look of it!

I’m having the same issue as Ben Pearce, I press down noise and gate but the number nine button doesn’t light up red like it does in the video it’s not giving me the option to delete preset sequences,does anyone have any advice?

anyone known if there's a way to clear parameter automation per step?
I’m having trouble replicating the results if this tutorial. When I hold down NOTE + GATE, my button #9 does not light up red and I cannot use it to clear sequences. Also when I enter sequence mode the NOTE, GATE, GLIDE, PRM and PERFORM buttons are all lit up red (unlike what I’m seeing in the tutorial). Any help is appreciated!
Needed to update the firm ware, now it's working.

When I try to clear the sequence the other button doesn't light up red, so nothing happens. It's stopped me dead in my tracks.

I cant sync the seq mode of the se02 with ableton with usb. Do you can explain how to do that??

Please tell me that you can transpose the key of the sequence. It is so difficult to find this feature!!
in PATCH mode, hold down the TRANSPOSE button and press OCT- and OCT+ to move the key down/up one step
@@shmuelyosef1 I believe that transposes it by an octave.
@@woodswalker88 it transposes by an octave if you just press the OCT+ or OCT-, but if you hold down the TRANSPOSE button as you press the OCT buttons then it goes one step at a time.

Does the metronome (for recording a performance) only works if one update the firmware ?
You need to start recording as shown and then turn the value knob to enable the metronome. Turning it higher increases the volume.
I thought 16 C 4's was very interesting.
15 was enough for me but i'm being pedantic perhaps - what's an odd C4 between friends ?
