One Cello x 16, is an ongoing project in which I layer the natural sound of the cello to create multi-layered music.
To accomplish this, the cello is captured through a combination of microphones and pickups attached to the body of the instrument. I record in real-time using a foot-controlled computer that runs various bits of software.
Although by necessity I must use a fair amount of technology to realize the music in a live setting, I try to keep this technology as unobtrusive as possible. During a performance, the arrangement of the just-recorded parts I can control with my feet so that I am free to play the cello.
I have two recordings of the studio-version of One Cello x 16 and am currently working on a third.
She is absolutely a master at the cello. Such an inspiration.
This piece is so emotive. It makes me feel so much whenever I listen to it. It never gets old

I could listen to Zoe's music for hours.
A deep relentless since of Awe.. Building into a cresindo of emotional outpour. I just came across Zoe for the first time today. And must say few peices of modern original music have ever moved me as much. I am certian the ? mainstream " applications of Cello music are limited. I will now track down her CD/s to show support for a simply amazing artist.

I discovered this by accident and I'm so glad I did. It's absolutely amazing!
I remain forever indebted to Bonnie of Spike's Coffee and Tea for introducing me to Zoe Keating by way of playing Keating's music in the shop one fine morning.
This is such intense music to play in a café!
The Elementary episode Enough Nemesis with the aerial shot approaching the mansion with this ( I believe ) Zoe Keating tune was blisteringly atmospheric.
Anyone can make noise. Music is another matter. This is amazing to me.

just got back from her concert in Eugene, front row seats. wonderful cellist, musician and performer. You could hear a pin drop. Amazing full moon concert. She is a force in music to be reckoned with. Cannot wait to hear her play for movies. great crowd as well.. Eugene was a perfect venue for her.

but the book is not out yet i just finished, it. and going over it. lots of spellings but little notice. perfect. it will be. this = is a theme of its instrument. but not of this book I'm writing its for black state rises and then the next series. which is a surprise.
this is a theme i could use in my next of series or so i say my hopes of it becoming a video game like movie. but thats digital art, for you. my book which is complete. lulu.com its called Dawn of Speer. a tale about special forces of the future, engage the pre war era and there own. sadly but truly it becomes the batter fight to win. and what comes to hart comes to nature.
