The public need to be educated on the Cantilon Effect.
The closer you are to the Bank of England the cheaper you can borrow.

Property market has changed, 2021/2 ten bidders chasing a house, now for sale boards sitting outside for months.

I believe the UK can reform for the better, it is still possible , but some radical changes and reforms need to be done. Like expel all illegals, esp. the allah akbars and all of the other dangerous ones, tight up the border security, rise up the bar for entry to live in the UK, cut the expenditure on foreign wars, which benefit only the US, etc. UK is still the financial heart of Europe and have some great chances to come back, also a lot of the top IT is there. So, there is hope, for sure.
So, it's only up to the people - if they continue to play "tolerant" (a synonymy for fools) or they'll get up the things back in hands again.
Few words about Bulgaria now - our energy is about to get much worse, because of the "green deal" (actually a globalist dictate) and our spineless politicians - Bulgaria will be closing its coal plants, which were producing one of the cheapest energy in the country. And on the other hand, the nuclear power expansion have been delayed for over a decade, because of the stupidity and lack of vision of Boyko Borissov (GERB). We could have 2 new reactors already completed and working, if a smart person was in charge of the country. So, realistically speaking I expect energy to go up from 200-300% to several times more. A contributing factor is, that under EU legislation we must go on the open energy market for households too, at the moment it is only for the business consumers, but soon enough it will be open market energy prices for the people as well.
I see only reasons for the price to go up and no reasons to stay what it is.
We also cut our good deals with Russia for cheap natural gas and petroleum, so no room for optimism, if things continue in the current direction...
The only good news is, that national conservative forces will expand their powers in the EU Parliament, after the elections, so there is still light in the tunnel, but I believe Europe is entering into an economic crisis and downturn for at least a decade ahead (if current policies remain unchanged).

Interesting post. I'm considering leaving the UK for Bulgaria. The issues around energy and other EU/Globalist dictats are worrying and something I need to consider. I'm not as positive about the UK as you are. Your suggestions on how to save it are good ones, but there is no chance of any of that happening in the foreseeable future. In a few weeks, the British people are going to vote in a Labour government who will continue the trajectory we are on and probably accelerate it. The majority here are still the 'tolerant' turkeys voting for Christmas.

@@abyssal-plains life in Bulgaria is good in many ways and have many positive sides. Even with the current developments, if you have some stable source of income (a pension, rent or something else) it is still a good place to settle in.
However, if you want to escape the globalists and the EU policies - other options to consider are Georgia and Russia. The downside with Russia and Georgia is, that property prices are very expensive. I was exploring the possibilities for myself to settle there, but the property market is very high.

How do you get on with the language? That Bald & Bankrupt guy went to Bulgaria and tried to speak Russian, they weren't impressed 🤣 only the older people knew it. I've been learning Russian 10 years now, finally got to a decent level. Bulgarian is similar but just different enough that your Russian won't get you by. Kak si is all I know.

Yes I watched Baldy, some of his behaviour in BG was questionable, I don't do as well as I should because Im a bit slack but have no problem getting through the days and weeks and I also go holidaying with BG people who speak no english at all and we get along pretty good

@@nickob55 his behaviour in general is sketchy if you've heard the rumours. I never liked his mates like that Johnny bloke, then I found out why. 🤣 I'm also slack with my languages but my youngest is 9, so I've been busy! That's why I've been learning 10 years. I was going to say regarding the COL crisis. Where I live in Kent, I moved to this town 6 years ago, my rent for 3 bed terrace was £900. Now, a single room ins£900. 3 bed terrace £1,300. Landlord is dying of turbo cancer so I'm being evicted and can't find anything I can afford.

You need better titles for your videos, with more descriptive keywords that people are likely to search on. Not many people will type in 'Join the Dots' but seriously loads more people would search on terms like 'The cost of living crisis and debt in the UK'. Better keyword titles will help the algorithm send a lot more viewers your way. Best of luck to you :-)
