I would LOVE to see how its updated in 2023. 5 years is a long time and I bet a ton has changed. Would also love to see a dedicated playlist just for your pond videos. I was having a hard time sorting through your uploads.

    Rob,
The pond looks great! All the plants look so healthy AND the fish. My 2 year old grand-daughter and 4 year old grand-son just watched this video with me and they were mesmerized while you were swimming around under the plants exploring and checking everything out. Hundreds of baby minnows, amazing! I agree, I don't think I would mess with anything right now! It looks beautiful!
    Great Video!

This is so awesomely satisfying to see this pond grow into a whole ecosystem and a thriving one too! Seems like the bass don't need to be fed anymore given all the minnows and juveniles in the pond! Well done man!

I think your waterfalls and types of plants you have saved your fish, usually once the pond gets covered it’ll be harder for the plants to produce oxygen but because they’re surface plants they’re good, well done

  • @NEIL812

Ecosystem completed! Dont do water change, you plants are taking care of the nitrates in your water by feeding on them. Just clean one of the filters is the flow has lessen wait about 2 weeks and clean another. That way the clean filter replenishes the bacteria lost to clean your water. We always lose some bacteria when cleaning filters by default. Always remember to clean filters with the water from the pond, never with chlorinated water. Awesome looking ecosystem!

The thing that is so cool is as thick as the plants are at the surface there is still a ton of free open space underneath for the fish to swim what you need to do is get a python or a water pump and suck out all the silt at the bottom almost like a water change and then add a giant wavemaker for some serious flow in there it looks absolutely beautiful thank you for the videos

Heck, I can't believe how many new hyacinths that's grown in there.. lol.. I want at least a half acre pond with a liner, so it never gets to muddy.. Because i really love being able to see everything thriving in there.. It's just awesome!! I hope all is well, and that you have a great weekend. Peace!!

Bradley Veldheer ick is a disease that targets fish, it’s deadly and will kill EVERYTHING in the pond if not treated. If you’ve ever had a fish aquarium and put “Black Molly’s” in there, they are notorious for carrying ick. It sometimes shows up as “white flecks,” but it QUICKLY spreads, and if you don’t tear apart the tank, clean it THOROUGHLY! Remove ALL affected/infected fish, your tank and everything u worked hard for will b lost. VERY serious stuff.

Man i think the pond looks amazing both from above and below, I personally wouldn't do anything to it except maybe 30% water change like someone else mentioned in the comments. Also Rob if you wanna start really bulking up those bass give them Tilapia fillets like 2 or so each. They will come and take it right from your hand.
