Sir, you have absolutely amazing videos! I love the pics of the band with Joe Rushton with his bass sax. It is almost as tall as he was! Ty so much for posting all of these. I was born and raised in San Fran so also blown away by the video of Club Hangover. My dad haunted that place and knew Doc very well.

Thanks so much for the positive comment. My videos are just my way of paying homage to my dear old dad's career with Red Nichols in the second phase of both of their careers. Fortunate to have some cool home movies to share, should anyone really care. Only wish I still had one of my dad's bass saxes. But they're in others custody now, and probably better off.

Yes! Still miss him after all these years, too.

Check out FaceBook Joseph Rushton for more if you don't mind wading through memorabilia mixed with personal musings.

Of course, that makes sense with the vids of him on your channel! Your dad was amazing! I have so much to say it would take 3 or 4 pages and wouldn't fit here. There were only 2 bass sax players that could really handle that instrument, Adrian Rollini and your dad. There is a record that just knocks me out. Bob Anderson's Oshkosh Serenaders on Jump Label. "I'm gonna sit right down and write myself a letter". Your dad's entry into his solo is unbelievable!
