Boy oh boy, America's got talent dropped the ball on this girl, can't believe Sharon said she didn't think people were into her type of music. This girl is amazing, I just love her already. She is creative, talented, and I'm so glad she is sharing her hard work with us all.

and now I know how it fits into the tone of the whole album, it's all about learning to stop running from these things and accept the metaphorical "rose". take down your walls and think, see, touch, taste, hear, smell and most of all feel and live this life and everything it throws at you. otherwise you won't even see the moment passing if your walls don't have windows. like if you understand what I mean.

Ooh ooh, married in the fifties, husband dies young. Everything reminds her of him so she gets in the pod to sleep 60 years. Now she is in the present time, and her knowledge of vintage fashion (being from then) gets her a job as a fashion assistant. Photographer falls for her (because she's Lindsey) but (and this is important) the freak-out is not just that he reminds her of her husband with the rose. The next set of happy husband flashbacks are interspersed with the new guy. Imagine the guilt of loving someone new; she realized that for just a moment that she had forgotten about her husband. So she runs back to the pod to get away again. In the future she bumps in to the hottest one (be honest guys, you agree) but the video cuts out at the flower. The song is about opening up to love, so we assume she stays with him. But why doesn't she get back in the pod and hope for an all-robot future with no heartbreak? I think the metal of the flower is important. It's still a gift of love, and it is still beautiful, but now it is tougher. No more crying and running away - this time she'll try staying with Hottie Mad Max. Or at least get a ride to the nearest settlement.

What you're describing is one of many different depictions of time travel in science fiction. It's like you're telling me my green apple isn't an apple because apples are red. There's more than one kind. This video shows one. You're describing another. You either get it or you don't.

I don't know how you guys see this video, but this is how I interpret it:
A woman falls deeply in love, but one day her partner burns her (in this case, dies). She is so heartbroken, that her belief in true love completely fades, and she goes into a cocoon of detachment. Then, when she thinks she's got all her emotions under control, she emerges and continues with her life. But, without even realizing it, she begins to fall in love again, and when he gave her the rose, she had flashbacks of her past lover. Now she's faced with a choice: love again, or protect herself from pain. She remembers all the happiness of love, but the pain of love is still fresh in her memory too. So she decides to run. She decides that feeling nothing is better than feeling pain, and goes back to her cocoon. Now, she's emerged a second time, only to realize there is nothing. Her detachment, while saving her from pain, has also eliminated all chances of happiness in her life. She begins to believe this is how her life will be from now on; completely alone. Until a boy with a rose (and a couple of robots) appears, and, this time, she chooses love.
God, Lindsey must be psychic or something, because every time I'm feeling down, I find one of her songs that helps mend the problem. I've been burned by love before, and I also went completely detached. I lost friends, and passed opportunities. I'm glad that I figured out that while life is long and painful, it is also worth it.
