The first lesson in chess. We all lose games. Even world class prodigies lose games. That was a cracker. I am sure Prag will be even stronger for the lesson. Thanks, Antonio, as always for the exposition and the commentary.

It figures Pragg would move the bishop to e7 cutting off escape squares for Mishra’s king but Bf4 did look ideal than when Bishop captures e5 it would’ve helped Pragg create better offensive threats
Every great player looks down the barrel, they come back hard and ferocious. Ding and Pragg are going through the same patch. Alireza is going through it since the last 2 years, Magnus has had bad form multiple times, so did Fabi. Hikaru is the best, he loses to 1900's wearing a pink shirt.
I think that in that Critical Position that layers like Fischer, Kasparov and Tal would have taken much more time as they would have instinctively sensed the vulnerability of the Black King and would have worked out how to do it. As Boris Spassky once said' There is in every game a moment when it is the Critical Position which requires one to look at all possibilities in depth. The problem lies in that no one is just quite sure when that Critical Position occurs. Prag needs to take a look at some of Spassky's games as her sure did know when the CP occurred.
Nice game Pragg falling short on his offensive attack Tough loss hope he bounces back and starts playing the kind of great chess he’s capable of Hope to see more great games from this tournament Thanks Agadmator Enjoy your day
Great game between two of my favorite young players. Both have an incredibly aggressive play style. Abhimanyu played brilliantly in the US Championship with nearly as many wins as Fabi who won. Played all in just like here. He was on the C squared podcast then as well. Great interview, well worth watching.
Pragg is a wonderful player but he does have a tendency to over push without a concrete idea. This game similar to that v Gukesh in candidates where he had Gukesh on the ropes but couldn’t find winning sequence of moves (Gukesh defended exceptionally). It’s what makes Pragg’s games so fun though.
I used to think of Mirko Crocop.....whenever I heard Croatia.....but I saw a "Croatian Cowboys in Wyoming" Headline and immediately thought of you....✌
This is one game after quite a while that I have lots of questions on other variations, in almost every 3-4th move... I'm gonna mark this one for detailed study. It would be helpful to explain other possibilities in more places, to help with us beginner/intermediates learning....

That's why I don't play this Bg5 line even in giuoco piano, bunch of sharp lines and you really have to know your stuff, I have studied them for days but in the end it always feels like I am missing something, no Sir, I am not playing this, lots of memorization.
@@DarkKnightIndia Why so rude? In my mind there's a ton of differences between the two and Spanish has even more playable variations early on - that's why I love it.
I dont want to sound arrogant but the pause the video moments, while fun, were also straightforward. Especially, the follow up part for the first moment.
12:19 Nice reminder that pawns don't capture backwards :D
If Abhimanyu unleashes the Chakravyuha no one can get out of it.... except maybe Arjun Erigaisi
Hail Mahabharata
I see what yu did there..
Ha ha - this is good stuff.
😀
Just that Abhimanyu doesn't unleash Chakravyuh, he penetrated it and couldn't get out of it.
First big scalp for young Abhimanyu Mishra.. he didn't panic even when severely attacked.

Thank you for your research. I find your videos are well done. Right now I'm keeping an eye on Unimantic.
I didn't find the winning move, but I did find - in less than 10 seconds- the move Pragg played! Good enough for my ego! 😅
It figures Pragg would move the bishop to e7 cutting off escape squares for Mishra’s king but Bf4 did look ideal than when Bishop captures e5 it would’ve helped Pragg create better offensive threats
To the moon with Unimantic!
Bro could have been down a King and still play

He should have resigned when his bishop was trapped 😅
Not liking comment so that it will stay on 69
Exactly!
Just like I do in my own games, just keep playing a lost position out of spite and contempt.😊❤

Abhimanyu is so aggressive, he has that drive to win. I think we are looking at a future champion.

Why bother trading or just holding onto coins when you can let Unimantic's top bots make money for you? Sounds like a better option, right?

Prag was over excited for the low ranked players but they crushed prag
lovely said.. crushed him. i loved this result as i met this wonder kid with his father recently.
No more videos from the Croatia tournament????😢

This was an exciting game!
Thanks for the upload.
Mishra is terribly overrated. won the GM tag in closed door tournaments with 2400 GM's

At 1:55, isn't the e4 pawn hanging? Why did mishra choose to castle instead of taking the e4 pawn with the knight?
Bd5 loses a knight. It's a common pattern in e4e5 positions.
At 11:53 why can’t’ Prag play Rxe4? He would be able to capture the black knight once the rook moves, equalising the position
Bro is a calculator especially 😂 his interviews

Before your explanation I found bf4 and yesterday in online. I played same line🙂
I Just don't believe that Prag misses Bf4 move
I also thought he is winning.
Must admit Abhimanyu played beautiful in the end
It’s not the losses that define a champion . It’s the comeback after that which does.
lol
What a game! Those are some mind boggling lines
Heyy Heyy Abhi, you pocketed a humble Ruy, Congrats and keep it up.
Why not check the king with Be3+, double the pawns, and go for the rook lift on the third rank?
05:10 Black rook to G8 sacrifice knight
I'm glad I played Mishra a while ago.
Hope Vincent can come back strong
Bf4 surely qualifies as a "disgusting engine move" so it's not surprising even Prag missed it. Though one suspects Magnus might not have.
Agad please throw an eye on today's game of stavroula tsolakidou. Once again a queen sacrifice
That f5 pawn wanted to come back...
Thank you.

Pragg is insane
