Not always is a blown head gasket. It also could be small leak on the coolant system. My 07 odyssey did the same thing because of a small leak on the radiator.
@@arielstereo5484 if you have a tester and change color it could be a blown head gasket. Honda engine are really reliable and most of the time it is just the plastic radiator that is leaking.
@@thy6780 This is not normal, this is the beginning stages of a crack in the block. You're just lucky the passage that cracked was one that separates coolant and the exhaust gasses. This is actually the most ideal type of head gasket failure because a head gasket sealant works very well on these.
Thanks for the input. Cylinder head compression test and K-seal were in my mind. I opened the cap after stopping the car because engine temperature light came and coolant and steam came out all gushing. Does this mean head gasket is gone?
That’s called exhaust gasses getting into your cooling system. If the coolant isn’t dirty, and the oil looks like oil (aka no milkshake in either) then you should go ahead and try and head gasket sealant. They work great for small cracks like this
@@soupflood Nahhh only some brands are sodium silicate (like Blue Devil), which is essentially liquid glass. @jairocruz9277 So a leaking radiator can cause a false positive on the test?
Usually normal man a blown head is when there’s massive bubbles and coolant gushing out
If head gasket blown or head/block warped, usually the bubble is more persistent, right?

The head gasket sealants contain sodium silicate, which only works with pure water (you have to flush the antifreeze)

That is not definitive proof of a leak. If it is just use sealer not really a big deal at all.

A "mechanic in a can" solution rarely works. The sealer would clog lines like crazy

Pag ganyan po need na i top?

If your engine was cold then most likely blown head, over filled it or never bled and burped it a day since you had.

Right 👍

normal lng tan

2. White thick smoke that has a burning smell
3. Car overheating
