My 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe can do this. I thought it was a real gimmick but I do actually use it quite a bit and does a reasonable job of parking in a tough spot...the accuracy is a bit hit or miss though. Should try full blown BMW parking assistant. It will parallel and bay park your car into a spot you choose from the surround view camera, it then automatically indicates and does everything (no gearchanges, pedals). Its so automated its actually really hard to trust! It even has reversing memory, so if you find yourself driving down a single lane road with no means to turn around, it will automatically drive your exact route in, backwards for quite some distance. Mate has it on his 840d XDrive and have to say its cool

it’s cool, great to show off every now and then and treat urself but ur very rarely actually using it, it takes a decent amount of time and in the end u may aswell do it urself to save time, it also fails sometimes when it’s difficult so it’s not like it’s gonna help u park when u don’t think u can
I borrowed my bosses' 5-Series about 10yrs ago and it had the exact same feature with the exact same graphics. I had a 435d Gran Coupé ~8yrs ago...same feature, same graphics. Worked better than my Tesla's equivalent to be fair!

BMW wings, rear and front, like to fill up with mud, as the genius that designed them, created a nice valley for this purpose, so they rot out. Also, the radiator expansion vessel is of a poor design and prone to splitting under pressure. Not great for a pressurised system. This happens when the radiator cooling fails when the fan stops spinning, due to the failure of a less than £10 part. However, as the cooling fan assembly is one part, with sensor, relay etc, it costs about £600 to replace. Now, a German genius came up with a novel way of waterproofing the underside of the 3 series. It uses the engine oil, as the engine will find any orifice it can to squirt oil out of. Indeed, it will create novel new ways too, a challenge to any mechanic, for example,.the vac pump oil seal, in such a poorly designed position, that either the mechanic needs to multi articulate their arms, or the engine needs to drop for a seal to be replaced. The seal is £20. The labour is about £450. Also, BMW have no service schedule to clean out the oil feed to the turbo either. Thus, after about 80k miles, you run the rusk of the pipe sludging up and starving the turbo of oil. This results in a dead turbo, and usually, a dead engine. Again, ££££s. Also, whilst on the oil subject, there is a breather pipe, which again, a german genius has decided to make out of plastic. The same genius has located it above the engine manifold!! The heat from which, makes the plastic pliable. Also, again, no service schedule to clean out oil pipes, means that it sludges up a bit, the pliable pipe compresses a la a Maccies straw with a shake, and increases the pressure in the oil line. This will usually mean a gasket, such as the rocker cover, will leak. Usually, directly above something hot, so your car smells of burning oil, it drips it onto your father in laws newly paved driveway, and again, a £30 gasket costs over £300 to replace. And if the source problem hasn't been resolved, it will happen again, probably about three weeks later. Not to mention corroding brake pipes and those adapters from the pipe to the flexi that goes to the callipers. Also, bleed nipples rot off too. New callipers all round and new pipes!! And also, in the 320d that I had, the lift pump for diesel out of the tank, fails. When it does, it does not deliver diesel to the high pressure pump, which then burns out the diaphragm inside, as you foolishly attempt to start the car, with no indication that the lift pump has failed. Thus, the £200 job to replace the lift pump, then gets an added £1200, less if you go 2nd hand, to replace the high pressure pump too. Thanks BMW. A simple pressure switch between the two pumps fixed this in later iterations of the engine. And then we come to the plastic sill fairings that are clipped onto the body, are clipped on with the cheapest clips,.of nasty flimsy material, that again, corrode on contact with water/salt. Oh and finally, don't gently kerb the rear wheels, either side will do, whilst trying to park in the dark, as in the morning, you will find the car driving like a Kwik Save trolley, as a tracking arm, again, made of the flimsiest material, will have bent out of shape. Another £300. Hmm. So far, in 120,000 miles, my Superb estate has had nothing beyond service parts and consumables fitted to it. I'll stick with my Czech mate😜
No that is the correct distance from the kerb. Younger drivers do not seem to know that the vehicle tyres should not Impede the gutter or drainage .the maximum distance away is 50 cm . So as long as you leave a gutter gap that's fine. Your car parked perfectly
i need that for sure. used to have a f30 335i wich i could park correctly, now moved on to an audi a6 avant. cant get that shit to park straight at all...... croocked all the time between the lines.
