My brother did a year in Moorlands in the mid 90's. I only did a week on remand in Armley at the same time as I was a year older than him, so had to go to adult prison. I hated it as it was my first experience. It was still slop out back then. My brother had it harder as Moorlands was full of youngsters with attitude and immaturity. He did some more time in adult prisons after that, but we have both stayed out of trouble for over 25 years.

Your story reminded me of an incident in Peterborough. My cell flooded ( by a fault not on purpose. So they put on the detox wing for a couple of days. They delivered our canteen, we were the only ones that had canteen as the people on the detox had only just arrived. When they unlocked us the next day I’m not exaggerating there was a nice neat orderly line that looked like a load of homeless people asking for coffee, sugar, vape caps any noodles etc etc.

From my own experience as a lifer, now out for 6 years, I found all this sh*te only really happened in B Cat locals and C Cat nicks to be honest.
You didn't get it in A dispersal or B Cat lifer.
A bit of it in D Cat, but most of the nuggets ended up on the prison van back to closed conditions.

LOL! :D That's not a bad assessment mate, but the sort of guys you spend time with in jail, also depends on your classification. I've spent most of my sentences in maximum security jails, and they're different, or they certainly were in the past (my first sentence was in 1980). Wing Reps are something that the private nicks, like Doncaster, have latched onto, but I was actually the first Wing Rep in that jail, and it was a very different role to what it became later, more like a very militant shop steward. When the nick first opened, there was no bedding, the meals didn't come on time, it was chaos. The Sheffield lads asked me if I'd represent their interests, and like a fool I agreed. Then the other lads asked me to do the same, and I ended up representing the whole nick, with Wing Reps on each wing. I had a very strong mandate from the lads, and for the first 9 months, we could have anything we wanted. Then, they shanghaied me one night, along with a couple of the other Reps, and locked a load of lads down on 3A. When I came back several months later, it was a different nick.

@@simonsteven1427 I was supposed to go there on Day 1 (June 94), but they had their 'quota' that day, as their plans were to fill the wings up slowly. That soon went out of the window, and I went there in week 3. Except for a couple of months in Lincoln, I was there from then to Feb 96, when I went to Full Sutton. The nick opened during the World Cup, so the screws couldn't bang anyone up. On 1-C, we'd sometimes stay out all night, and never banged up before midnight. We had a cell reserved for brewing hooch, TVs in the cells, carpets and furniture borrowed from the screws offices, as many visits as we wanted, and parties every night. The procedure for the meals was that 1C had 3 times the number of meals allocated than prisoners on the wing, so we could all have a late night curry. The procedure with the meals was that, when the food trolleys arrived, me and the hotplate lads would have a look, and if we didn't like the look of it, I'd take the trolley back to the kitchen, and demand something else, sometimes with a specific request. There was a lot of things we had to sort out, such as the system for issuing clean bedding, or the visits system, but this was taken care of by the cons, since the management were not fit for purpose. The screws had originally signed a contract that they would work unlimited unpaid overtime, and loads of them left, but once they had enough staff, and got the hang of things, the regime was unceremoniously changed. So, in my opinion, the golden days, for cons, at Doncatraz were June '94 to about April '95 👍

If you have correct knowledge, true thieves are paid in costume like immortal armour, tweed suits, bow ties and suede boots having already afforded the house in the village - They park on double yellows in unaffordable vehicles just like Ali Baba on Waterloo Street - People stumble on the rocks, but worser still, there are those who put the rocks there for people to stumble on like the Artful Dodger and Fagin, and whom wait for them like wolves, coyotes and vultures having pseudo names. (Because they were already there to cash in on) So talking about the movies, (Which are actually a morphogenic pretext, hence the shadow cast the blind although seeing ego pays attention to), they are the ones doing it = Kurt Russell wore body cams over 40 years ago while rescuing the pre-side-ant from a post apocalyptic New York after his plane crashed there due to being over run by thieves. Now look at all the president wearing body cams. Why do you think they call it Mirror Max Studios ?
Demon are side effects which is why medication has side effects.
The fish eye'd lenses in the head don't actually see, which means they're Imp-Perfect - They don't see King Duo Davids TV or the doppelgangers in the clock which morphogenic-ally prescript the trauma bonded person who is rendered a mimic duo to attention and polarised desires which are myopically unaware.
Idolatry of celebrity are bad clones of themselves due to supporting a morphogenic pretext or shadow caste which is knowledge of a certain type of spirit involved with occultism - IE: 'We're open all hours but will be closing soon due to the moon moving away from the earth at 2cm per day, but if you join our secret you'll be saved' - Thus if intended comes with a big house called Elephantiasis (Elephant Eye Sis), that never supplanted inference with the use of bewilderment which gives rise to self deprecating thoughts and de'fish'ant'sees of T-Lymphocytes when combating spiked proteins - As they say, 'never mind the para-sights or the inside because it's looking better already, like Onchocerciasis or Lymphatic Filariasis better known as River Blindness' - The side effect of demons being the building of a rod for own back (Species of Gram-positive, rod-shaped bacteria) - Actinomyces Israelii - But Acting O My Sees Is Real Eye never needed the attention of a mirror - Nor did Endocarditis Fibroadenomas - End O Card Eye It Is Fib Road Demon @ss.
This is due to entering the institution which enters in order to support the Jiva's narratives which draw attention by desire and fear which was by design IE:
I can’t afford enough time that I was sinking, because if this thing had been cleaned we’d be talking six figures.
We’re open all hours but will be closing soon because the moon is moving away from the earth and 2cm per day.
You won’t recognise where your here because you believe you can be somewhere else.
The black prince only makes sense because it is seen against a white background.
I’m not going to fuss to much about the inside but it’s looking better already.
It could have been different behind the clock.
It’s like trying to do a jigsaw when you haven’t got the picture on the box.
Demons aren’t what you were thinking.
If I wanted to go down I couldn’t because I’d already drank to much.
    What’s your looking for ?
IE: Haven’t we been established, the sanity has replaced the insanity that preceded the first drink !
They found him last night, I can’t believe it, I thought he was gone forever.
If they take off in the fog they’ll never land it.
And if they try to they’ll crash.
You think you want freedom, but if you know what freedom means, you will run away from that.
The Matt and Satin finish is yet to be de-term-Inn’ed.
How far into this clock have ever been
    I hadn’t had a drink since then.
The Susan Morphew Case, ‘Nothing is what it seems’
