Desperadoes Take 2nd Place in Panorama Finals 2019

- With Nailah Blackman again working the stage as chief flag woman for the band, Desperadoes rocked the Savannah with their arrangement of "Iron Love." It was enough to earn the band second place, just 3 point behind this year's Panorama winner BP Renegades.
Despers won this year panorama for me. Clean,clear sweet music..
I'm a born Phase II fan and I was rooting for Despers all the way. This music was too sweet. Heard Renegades prelims and semis and thought they would have been tough to beat, but my sentimental vote was Despers all the way.
Desperadoes is the best band in the world and other places, I can't support any other band.
In my opinion Zanda developed and and improvised on a very short and simple song where by most other arrangers would sample from other songs to fill in it shows the strength and . versertility of Zanda,,

Congrats Despers! ZanMan takes you to "Church" with his chord choices and varying rhythms while staying true to the essence of the song. He also did this with the winning Desper presentation of "Different Kind of Me" in 2016. Well done Zan and Despers!

Desperado I grow up with your all music. Chipping all over POS early in the morning to daybreak. Good to know your all still going strong. I was rooting for first place though.
Desperadoes was outstanding that night. They set the standard very high. What may have been the judges second place finishing was their mediocre ending. I believe if it was not for that abrupt type ending they would have been winners. In my book they were winners of the night still.
Agree never liked the ending...but overall a beautiful arrangement..

They played GD so they deserve to come first.
My heart goes out to the 3 Large Steelbands who were eliminated in a preliminary round, but was that round necessary ? All Hopeless, Fruitless PanTrinbago had to do was start their Semi Finals program 1 hour earlier and all 17 bands would have been accommodated. They probably saved on paying appearance fees, ent ? But then, what did it cost them in Transportation, meals, accommodation etc. just to have a Team of Judges, their accomplices, Security Details etc travelling about Trinidad and Tobago for several nights just to eliminate 3 bands ? .... Oh Ohhh, I just remembered, the Government ( Tax Payers ) is their financer.
Because they win 11 times. If u know pan music listen to renegades after 5 minutes the bass man.

Nice rendition but DESPERADOES is not know ordinary band everything got to be correct not just the music we don't come second ....if u a real radoes you will know it's a love thing and community thing everything got to rite
