Just subbed for more. I am also chronically ill with a brain issue, so I understand being in the house a lot. Can't wait for more. I don't know about Chinchillas story except that when she sings as Daisy (her real name) she gets horrible stage fright so she puts on the outfits which she makes and her nails and becomes Chinchilla as her armor. I think its incredible. ❤
...I stay in my room a lot these days as well...mostly watching reactions to Ren and Chinchilla!!! Ha! Truly appreciate your sincere reaction and will be looking forward to your future reactions. Supporting rachelk's comments...I too would urge you check out Chinchilla's solo catalog... as she said, Little Girl Gone (Elements or her newest Caps Lock) for her badass side ... to be stunned and amazed - "Fingers" Live for HungerTV" is hard to top....as are "1:5" "Cold Water" (live) .... and all the rest.....also, also don't miss her with Ren busking their rendition of "Sexual Healing" and the "One Dance/Drunk In Love" mashup....Peace!!

FYI- she only wears the long nails when performing. It’s part of her persona.
This song (to me) is about grief and Ren references losing his friend to sui**de at the end. The way I see it is that Chinchilla embodies that grief (literally following him when they do the verse in a round) and she is very haunting in her vocals. I also interpret her overwhelming him vocally towards the end as the grief overwhelming Ren, leading him to eventually verbalize it.
Chinchilla has not had a similar experience as Ren, except that they were both independent artists at the time after having record deals previously. They refer to one another as musical siblings though, and you can tell in their collabs.
