It’s so interesting how Ichigo wins most things she participates in, but you couldn’t call her a “Mary Sue”. She just has a naturally affinity for being an idol. She’s someone you can’t look away from. Aaaaggghhh words can’t describe the love I have for this girl😭😭
I think what helps is that she doesn't win every time. She's lost and has come short quite a few times which emphasizes that she actually worked hard to get to where she is.
Ichigo is just one of those Anime Protagonists that you can't help but support her and her dreams throughout her entire journey regardless of their flaws. You want her to succeed, and when she falls short, you keep on cheering for her! I'm so glad I got to discover the original Aikatsu and appreciate it's characters and story through you channel! Ichigo is a bright and carefree character that can really inspire an audience with her passion and optimism. She's a big reason why I love Aikatsu so much. It's an anime filled with so much determination, but unconditional positivity and support. I had no idea that jumping through a ring of fire and being a literal star on a Christmas tree actually happened. I thought it was just dramatization. I'd say what I love about her is that ability to draw in others. Not just other idols or the audience, but the people watching the anime too.
Ichigo is the definition for me “Stage Prescence.” Just like Miziki she’s able to obtain the audience attention from her training and ability to bring smiles to her audience! That’s why she is the top idol along with a huge amount of popularity because we watch her growth as an idol to become the #1 idol!!! Adding Akari allowed for us (the audience) to truly see Ichigo impact as “Ichigo’s Generation” onto Akari and mentoring her to become the next generation. I love how the dynamic between Mizaki -> Ichigo -> Akari. In which Ichigo is the Sun to Mizaki but once Ichigo surprised Mizaki, Akari is now the moon/star to Ichigo. (Soleil/Luminas the general name contrasts each other from Sun to Light like a star/moon) It’s like a solar system that continues to orbit (to continue producing greater idols) Ichigo in general was the best written character that allowed everyone to love her and aspire to be her. It’s sad that after the 10th Story Aikatsu (I believe) all Aikatsu characters are retired and we’ll no longer see them. 😢 I believe the ending for the movie was perfect closure for fans who grew up with the OG Aikatsu. This video made me so happy to see a recap of Ichigo and how much she really did accomplish!! Thank you so much for making it!!!!

Not only herself but her brand, Angely Suger the founder of other Aikatsu MC's Ex: Yume(Aistars) she start with multiple brands My little heart to Berry Parfait then Rainbow Berry Parfait All three brands have elements I can see that Angely Suger used in their outfits Aine(AiFriends): Her brand, Suger Melody will say in my opinion one of the closest Aikatsu brand that is similar to Angely Suger(maybe a bit of Dreamy Crown) all lots of pastel and cute elemets Hana(AiPlant): her type(brand) is the Fairy types and another very close match with Suger Melody and Angely Suger
I remember starting aikatsu because I saw Ichigo's audition on my youtube feed (I was watch pretty rhythm at that time) it was so pink and cute.. I thought I was getting into an idol drama with competition and cute performances. But no...its just... positivity. It was so desintoxicating to watch aikatsu, and to see Ichigo turn situations and struggles into fun memories.

This was an amazing dive into Ichigo and her part in the Aikatsu franchise ^^ Ichigo is an amazing character from start to finish ^^ She is the one of the perfect examples of never giving up, always bring fun, friendship and passion into her performances and sees everyone as her inspiration ^^ Her arc in season two with Seira and their journey being 2Wings is my favourite ^^ The song Friend is one of my all time favourite songs because of those two and associated those two the most and i love the Aikatsu movie as well ^^ Great video as always ^^

Never got to watch the first movie so seeing the detail on it lets me learn more about the exact happenings, Ichigo may be my concept of the "default pick" for Aikatsu but she's still a very well rounded character

Man i'm always a nostalgia type than just a gamer (type) since mid 2000s. It's been 2 days for this video i love. Ichigo is a reason i always having interested with her since 10 years after first time to see her idol performance. I only recently finished season two and thought it felt fourced between Seria and Ichigo But you putting their influence on each other into perspective actually really changed my opinion of not only them but the whole season
I love Ichigo so much, so much that Akari looks pale in comparison lol (sorry to the fans). She is incredibly pure, hardworking, lovable and so down to earth. I dunno she really feels like she was born to be an idol. I so loved her generation so much the supporting characters were all so individually interesting and unique with their very own character development. I still feel bitter that Akari became starlight queen just like that (sorry). Ichigo literally went above and beyond to beat Mizuki but Akari beat her during that race in the last episode which is insane to me. She couldn't become top idol during the running TV series that she had to have a separate movie for it lol. Anyway I love her so much that I Know that I am incredibly biased towards her lol. PS. No hate to Akari I acknowledge that she is an Idol of her own league.
Oh boy, this is gonna be the longest comment I've ever made. This is one of my favourite videos! The amount of efforts you put in this is so incredible! Love the dedications. I would love to see more videos like this for the other idols!! I used to not care for Ichigo as i thought she was another generic genki idol protagonist (I said this because i saw these type of characters in a bunch of idol series a lot. As you can see, i watched most idol series in the past 😅...). but after watching of how hard she works & been developed in the series. I started to appreciate her a lot! I love how passionate, energetic, carefree naive (sometimes) & positive. I also love how she mentors underclassmen idols and how mature she was. My favourite monents is when ichigo encouraging akari & how ichigo said that it's okay to be inspired. Their interactions is one of my absolute favourites in the series! Their unit song is also fantastic! The one i have to highlight is the movie (the first movie, not starway) made me appreciate her even more. Etude no Radiance's lyrics & performance made me appreciate her even more. I also LOVE how she's the top idol & beating the idol that she's was inspired by (Mizuki) instead of been a starlight queen, it felt really interesting seen a character like this been at the top! I also kinda cried when she said her speech in starway. She might not be one of my favourite aikatsu protagonists (that title belongs to Akari) or my favourite ichigo gen character but she's definitely in my top 5 favourite characters in aikatsu overall! She's such an amazing & wonderful character.

You know, I almost dropped this series after only one episode, because I thought the animation in the concerts were terrible to look at. I think Ichigo was the natural Idol. Not like Akari with a lots of hiccups. Song (Ichigo + Mizuki + Akari) And fun fact, I remember play Aikatsu Photo On Stage and got all 3 PR Card for Flower Theme. WM vs Soleil was out of balance for me But WM vs 2wingS in Twinkle Star Cup was the real answer. Funny enough, Ichigo announce battle Soleil in season 3, with the rules every unit has 3 people. Tristar was battling but only got 3rd place. The 2nd was Luminas.

Tbh I don't really like ichigo, and I think after watching this I dislike her even more, especially the parts when she's with akari, every time ichigo/Solei was on stage with her, I was like "NOOOOO!!!! WHY?????" Either way, personally its the opposite for me, i did feel like in ichigo gen a lot of characters got their own spotlights, even tho ichigo was the main character she didnt even end up winning in her season, which was really rare in any idol animes, and then starting akari gen it just started getting more mary sue and stuff, ironically akari won a lot more even tho shes the non-talented but work-hard character. i felt really bad for sumire especially, losing both the group competition and starlight queen so akari gets plot armoured, i wish they kept the starlight queen competition as everyone giving their best effort and no one tripping on stage. But tbh i didn't very much enjoy stars gen as well. There's a lot more character mistreatment for koharu and laura

Man i'm always a nostalgia type than just a gamer (type) since mid 2000s. It's been 2 days for this video i love. Ichigo is a reason i always having interested with her since 10 years after first time to see her idol performance. As i said again, Ichigo (😁 👍 🤗 🐰 🍓 💖) is always my favorite of all time and always my favorite idol of all time with the love so much more! I can't believe and i'm so glad i found the right idol such as Ichigo. And i also still love your character analysis and story recap video like this, Kiwi! 🥰 👍 🤗 💚 ✨
I only recently finished season two and thought it felt fourced between Seria and Ichigo
But you putting their influence on each other into perspective actually really changed my opinion of not only them but the whole season
I had similar thoughts! I was surprised to see how nuanced their relationship turned out to be
@idolkiwi I think it's better to view Seira purely as a foil rather then a secondary protagonist
I love Ichigo so much, so much that Akari looks pale in comparison lol (sorry to the fans). She is incredibly pure, hardworking, lovable and so down to earth. I dunno she really feels like she was born to be an idol. I so loved her generation so much the supporting characters were all so individually interesting and unique with their very own character development. I still feel bitter that Akari became starlight queen just like that (sorry). Ichigo literally went above and beyond to beat Mizuki but Akari beat her during that race in the last episode which is insane to me. She couldn't become top idol during the running TV series that she had to have a separate movie for it lol. Anyway I love her so much that I Know that I am incredibly biased towards her lol.
PS. No hate to Akari I acknowledge that she is an Idol of her own league.

This is one of my favourite videos! The amount of efforts you put in this is so incredible! Love the dedications. I would love to see more videos like this for the other idols!!
I used to not care for Ichigo as i thought she was another generic genki idol protagonist (I said this because i saw these type of characters in a bunch of idol series a lot. As you can see, i watched most idol series in the past 😅...). but after watching of how hard she works & been developed in the series. I started to appreciate her a lot! I love how passionate, energetic, carefree naive (sometimes) & positive. I also love how she mentors underclassmen idols and how mature she was. My favourite monents is when ichigo encouraging akari & how ichigo said that it's okay to be inspired. Their interactions is one of my absolute favourites in the series! Their unit song is also fantastic! The one i have to highlight is the movie (the first movie, not starway) made me appreciate her even more. Etude no Radiance's lyrics & performance made me appreciate her even more. I also LOVE how she's the top idol & beating the idol that she's was inspired by (Mizuki) instead of been a starlight queen, it felt really interesting seen a character like this been at the top! I also kinda cried when she said her speech in starway.
She might not be one of my favourite aikatsu protagonists (that title belongs to Akari) or my favourite ichigo gen character but she's definitely in my top 5 favourite characters in aikatsu overall! She's such an amazing & wonderful character.

I didn't even remember that Ran was part of Tristar at some point in Aikatsu 🧸 I swore it was always Yurika there :v Aoi not competing with Seira and Ichigo coming back just in time to 'fight' Seira, had bothered me so much when i watched it, i think they could have given a better writing at the beginning of that season 🎸
P.S: lol both Yurika and Ichigo got 'partnerzone' by a Tristar member (Yurika by Ran and Ichigo by Mizuki)

Great video! I hope you'll do one for Aoi (who is probably the best!) And Ran in the future. You know, I almost dropped this series after only one episode, because I thought the animation in the concerts were terrible to look at. But I pushed myself to watch a few more and fell in love with the series as a whole. All because of Ichigo and her friends😊
Aoi and Ran are absolutely in my plans! And I'm the exact same, I avoided the series for so long because I thought it looked ugly, and now here we are 😅

Funny enough, Ichigo announce battle Soleil in season 3, with the rules every unit has 3 people. Tristar was battling but only got 3rd place. The 2nd was Luminas.

2024 like this, 10 or almost 10 years i was with Aikatsu and Ichigo by watch its anime on Indonesia TV Channel RCTI (Aired on September 20, 2014 and i watch on November 22, 2014 after 4 days of my birthday. RCTI Oke (👍)! ) before play its game 2 years (That 2 years or February 14, 2016, that's where i got 2 shoes coord card from Data Carddass Aikatsu i play that was on Indonesia than just that arcade machine on Japan originally) later and further beyond (in 2020 that includes 3DS Aikatsu game My No. 1 Stage i play).
Now this is the deep dive video i've been waited if it's not this one waiting. With can't wait and "bam!" it's been uploaded. My favorite idol of all time and hugely fan of her with alot of respect between me and her with so kindly. Ichigo Hoshimiya, Ichigo-chan for what i'm thinking after closely first to know, see and the love, i think she reminds me of my friend i love despite she bit a old than me when i was 14 with help, trust and comfy like hug to her then she'll hug me. Hehe! Ichigo to me deserved a best idol and the best Japanese idol. I love her voice, sing, song, idol performance (Let's Aikatsu, but sung by Ichigo. I honestly rather love Idol Activity and some Ichigo's song so much with favorite as my most favorite sung by her. Luckly she says thank you to me with the word "Arigatou" like i'm being so happy to her. "Sama-sama (Douitashimaste) (You're welcome)"!), and even her personal so much more. My friend i love so much Kiwi (Hey ya~ It's been a while). Tbh I don't really like ichigo, and I think after watching this I dislike her even more, especially the parts when she's with akari, every time ichigo/Solei was on stage with her, I was like "NOOOOO!!!! WHY?????" I feel as though they were taking away akaris time on stage, I just really wanted her to get that limelight she deserves without interruptions, it felt sooo good when akari became starlight queen, and ichigo never did, i was so happy, but was disappointed to see ichigo there ngl, I didn't really like any of ichigo gens characters, but i love all the akari gen characters so much, i think if i watch aikatsu, (obviously loads of people love ichigo but not me, sorry) im just gonna start from akaris gen, and go straight to friends, stars is ok, because of laura but, yume, just no,

average ichigo hater :( Just remember that if its not because of ichigo, akari would not be here AT ALL. The connection between ichigo and akari is wut makes the aikatsu series great, akari wanted to become an idol bc she was inspired by ichigo's stage, and she was able to enter starlight school bc ichigo convinced the others, when she felt stuck it was ichigo who went out of her ways to help akari, I rlly dont understand someone who can like akari and hate ichigo

@@princessrosia2592 its funny u hav very controversial views, a lot of aikatsu viewers actually prefer stars gen way more than friends gen. Either way, personally its the opposite for me, i did feel like in ichigo gen a lot of characters got their own spotlights, even tho ichigo was the main character she didnt even end up winning in her season, which was really rare in any idol animes, and then starting akari gen it just started getting more mary sue and stuff, ironically akari won a lot more even tho shes the non-talented but work-hard character. i felt really bad for sumire especially, losing both the group competition and starlight queen so akari gets plot armoured, i wish they kept the starlight queen competition as everyone giving their best effort and no one tripping on stage. But tbh i didn't very much enjoy stars gen as well. There's a lot more character mistreatment for koharu and laura

Akari got a great princess treatment from bandai anyway (you can see that clearly on Aikatsu on parade) and for starlight queen, we never actually see ichigo vs akari stage so we can't say that ichigo unable to be the starlight queen. But i agree at your opinion on how bad aikatsu og character is. Im okay with season 1 character, but season 2? Hell nah they are plain and how
