one thing i enjoy alot about y’all exploring is the fact that y’all actually do research and share fun facts and a bit of information about the places you see/visit.
I'm currently watching this recovering from knee replacement surgery, your blogs are definitely helping to distract from the pain. We're flying to MCO next spring and driving up to Charleston for 2 days, and then Savannah for 2 days, then back to Kissimmee for 4 weeks… can't wait! We're going to be stopping at Lewis’ barbecue place for sure. Thanks guys xx
I am from Florida and Charleston is my favorite place. Feel like you guys missed crossing the bridge and exploring the beautiful beaches and plantations. We stay in AIR bnb by the beach around the corner are the plantations and you can have a beautiful breakfast in the carriage houses. You cross the bridge maybe ten minutes away and explore downtown and all the old homes and the ghost tour is amazying.
Love Leigh blooper, the words just did not want to come did they. Made me laugh. Why is it when someone has food around their mouth, you end up licking your own lips. Charleston looks a beautiful place
This east USA road trip is amazing, so interesting and informative....so looking forward to the family vlogs in Orlando. The food in Charleston looked amazing. You so well deserve this, you are such nice guys.
I started your journey from the Orlando part because I was going in July so I was watching everything Disney, I have now watched your trip up to leaving for Orlando. Loved it all and will rewatch your next part
Hi guys your vlogs get better and better you put everything in them this was one of your best loved it i was at the pemier inn in Folkestone last night and i said this is the lodge guys stayed thought of you both, thought they are a long way from here naw.
Thanks Boys! Another informative, interesting visually superb vlog as always...I am salivating now after watching. What a gorgeous place. You two are absolutely pro's. Stay safe and happy travels. 😊
My husband and I went to Charleston for our 34th wedding anniversary. We stayed downtown at The Dewberry and had breakfast every morning at The Hotel Bennett, they had a great patisserie. I hope you went to Candlefish they have great scents in there candles. The Dewberry has a signature scent that you smell throughout the hotel. There is so much history to see there. XOXO Little Castle Kathy
When going for something to eat love the way Nick said I know somewhere we can go guess someone was doing lots of research. Loving the new vlog styles so nice to see And new locations. And of course the usual food n drinks. We will share lol as if.
Absolutely love Charleston and the South Carolina beaches. Definitely worth a week's vacation. Savanah is a neat city as well. Hope you can visit it too when you have more time. Enjoying the vlogs.
You will have to recreate that Southern barbecue for your friends, complete with a brisket, when you get back to the lodge! The corn pudding is easy to make!
So many great restaurants in Charleston that feature amazing seafood. Sad you missed out on Shrimp and Grits there, as well as many other amazing things. Go back!
I have been to both Charleston and Savannah, though I visited Charleston in the 90s and Savannah just a few months before the pandemic began, and I didn’t spend a long time in either city. They do have a very similar feel, so it’s kind of nice for you to go elsewhere and then come back to see Savannah. I get the Hot Little Biscuit pimento cheese for my mother at Publix, but I didn’t know that it came from Charleston. I will say that brisket did look delicious. I also love corn pudding, and that looked like good corn pudding. There is a restaurant within five minutes walk from my condo that has a really good crunch wrap, and the one you got looked mighty tasty as well.
I absolutely love Charleston… My brother lives there, and he will never leave… I love the Spanish moss, and all the beautiful houses… That food looked so amazing… that crunch wrap was a take on Taco Bell‘s crunch wrap… I can’t remember… Have you guys even done Taco Bell? Brisket is my absolute favorite, barbecue meat… Nick, I love it when you describe food… When you said the potato salad was sweet, it did not surprise me. I’ve had savory potato salad and I grew up eating, sweet potato salad… my family was mixed, my dad’s parents originated in Kentucky and moved to a suburb in Detroit… my mom was born and raised in Georgia, so I got the best of both worlds…
Omg I love your talks about where you are!! Absolutely Fabulous! (Yes, I loved that show from America when it was new and has always been a favorite of mine).I've watched Britcoms since Ab Fab, then Keeping Up Appearances and many more. I fell in love with all of them...the list is long, lol. Especially The Royal Family. Omg loved that as well. Yes, I'm old, lol. Going to be 56 in Aug
Absolutely loved this one. Charleston now on my bucket list ! Now boys , I love you dearly ... but not sure you should be comparing everything that’s genuine in all of your wonderful ventures , with the not so genuine Disney and Orlando all the time.🤔 I’m soaking in the ethnicities! Through your vlogs , so thanks for sharing . But whilst it might remind you , it’s just a copy of the real thing I feel . BUT , if you looking for a good smokehouse , try 4 rivers ! Similar vibe with the brisket etc . But in your other fave place of Orlando . Keep safe and continue to create great memories 🤣 oh and yet to see the next thing that Nick says is his favourite things to eat . Sending hugs 🤗
I love Charleston, but Savannah is my favorite SC city. Very historic and so interesting to see! I am glad you are planning to see it. We stayed in a house built in the early 1900s. We rented it through an online rental site or bed and breakfast location. Love your Charleston videos!
I wish they traveled through Tennessee as well. Me and my hubby did, and it's beautiful! My brother lives there, and it was absolutely fantastic driving out through the mountains. So many pics were taken, lol. Living in Florida for 12 yrs, I do love it except the hurricanes and tropical storms. We've lucked out, lol.
Really enjoyed that - thanks guys. Leigh, you were cute when you couldn’t get your words out 😊 hmm.. think I need that bbq food in my life - looked bloody amazing! ❤
Just watched you guys eating in Charleston, at Callies Little Biscuit. I just know that one day Nick is going to tell Leigh, "You won't like it, Have an apple". 😂😂
So strange that we did a similar trip around the same time as you. We did Charleston, Savannah and Hilton Head Disney Resort ( which you would love), then Myrtle Beach for a wedding. Also drove up and back to Orlando We loved all three and did Rodney Scotts BBQ in Charleston (fabulous) and also went to Henry’s. We practically walked the similar route to you and also stayed outside Charleston and took a Uber in but to Battery park, you need to see that bit too if you g9 back as it has all the beautiful mansions on the bay. Not sure if you make it to Savannah yet but that is lovely too, and so walkable. We did that as a day trip from Hilton Head, the trolly tours are great but hop on and off.
I’m going to have to visit Charleston for that food. Where exactly is the BBQ place. I know my son said I’d like visiting there but actually seeing your visit I’m sold on the idea. Great vlog.
@@TheLodgeGuys you should watch it again. It was straight after you took your first shot and a stray ball comes in from the left. You have to look closely.
Very interesting vlog guys. Leigh cracked me up eating his banana, my family always laughs at me eating a banana on a road trip. We’ve been harassed by other rowdy young men driving (so juvenile, but funny) while eating my banana, especially on the New Jersey Turnpike. 😂 Hope that gave you a chuckle.
😂😂 Leigh that was so funny at the start of the vlog, those bloopers made me laugh so much and you were super cute...I reckon you should do an outtakes vlog,I'm sure it would be hilarious...All the food looked delicious, especially that brisket tray. I always love your enthusiasm for trying out new things. Great vlog guys 💙💙 xx
It's so funny to me that you guys refer to the final car rental ( GMC Terrain) as a huge, big as a bus...etc and are amazed by the fuel efficiency .....here in the US the GMC Terrain is literally a small compact SUV....not big at all. LOL
I just found out the other day, if you put a magnetic pineapple on your door of your cabin on a cruise it’s letting people know you are swingers apparently. Each and everyone to there own, life’s to short if you are in to that sort of thing go for it. Ps I’m not.😂
I know it's all about the feel goods, guys, but how can a couple of Brits tour Charleston without reference to the Slave Market and Fort Sumter where the first shots of the US Civil War were fired? I visited Charleston from the UK when I was 8 years old and I can still envisage the slave chains on display even now almost 60 years later. Don't just tour the hotel's pool, admire the architecture and the farmers' market. Learn a little bit about the place.
There's always something about a place we will miss. We look and enjoy what we like and have time for. Charleston for us was always about the food. I'm sure there are many videos about slaves if you want to know the history of it. Thanks for watching
“The best meal he’s ever had anywhere, ever”. Now that’s a compliment!!
Lol. He says that every other day 😂
one thing i enjoy alot about y’all exploring is the fact that y’all actually do research and share fun facts and a bit of information about the places you see/visit.
We look up most places we go beforehand so we try to sound like we know what we're talking about 😂
I'm currently watching this recovering from knee replacement surgery, your blogs are definitely helping to distract from the pain. Wow, everything looked beautiful. Thank you for showing us that wonderful tree. It was incredible.
Thank you for watching 💙
Hi Guys

This looks like a great place to chill and just enjoy a few days of eating and drinking

🛀
If you go back to Charleston you must do the gulia gichy tour. It goes into the rich history of the people.
👍
So many great restaurants in Charleston that feature amazing seafood. Sad you missed out on Shrimp and Grits there, as well as many other amazing things. Go back!

I'd love you guys to have a trip to portland & Salem in oregan which the next state is San Francisco I feel these type of place get left behind,
👍
Next time you are in Charleston go see the Hunley Museum. It is a Civil War Submarine.
👍💖
You should have gone into The Griffon. They have the best Buffalo shrimp in Charleston.
Looks like a lovely place and the food looks very yummy 😋 xx
The food was amazing there
Great vid. I have been tempted to go for years. Leigh did you see how close you came to getting hit by a golf ball when you played with the Bazzas!? 😳
No didn't notice 😳
@@TheLodgeGuys you should watch it again. It was straight after you took your first shot and a stray ball comes in from the left. You have to look closely.

If you get a chance on a future trip, head to the Salt Lick near Austin. Truly amazing Texas bbq!
Thanks for the tip

Compared to cars in the UK it’s huge! haha.
It as huge to us brits. Our roads are a lot smaller here
Hi guys, first time commenting
Thank you for watching and commenting
BBQ looked delish
Was so good
C mon guys surely nick has more than 1 T-shirt
🤔🙄
I am curious why you guys run a month behind most vloggers? Most vloggers update daily if not weekly?
Makes life easier. Most UK vloggers don't update daily. 👍
Food envy is real 🤤
Such a nice place for food
We all know what the upside-down pinapple means in the uk. 😉
lol, we didnt know until we googled it
Pineapples in uk are a symbol of swinger’s nowadays I’m told 😂
I just found out the other day, if you put a magnetic pineapple on your door of your cabin on a cruise it’s letting people know you are swingers apparently. Each and everyone to there own, life’s to short if you are in to that sort of thing go for it. Ps I’m not.😂
