If you have the grey, I use the thin layer as the bridge and a thick layer where the negative pressure port is. I always use the separate ports and place the instill at the wound site, run it up the bridge and place a mepilex over that wound site. If it is the blue foam (it is combined) I place the holes up on the bridge but put the landing zone for the track pad holes to holes so it is a flat landing. I really do not like the dermatac drape for these wounds, other than the drape on the skin under the bridge. :)
