I love this trailer almost more than life itself. It has infected my soul. I want to play this game just to hear the music. Will definitely be buying the soundtrack at some point, regardless of whether I like the game.

To be fair, all the characters which are bound to the beat REQUIRE the beat to move - so only the Bard will be able to properly play if there was a song which had a *excruciatingly* slow beat.
***** At first I assumed the same, And that placing a fast beat like something by Dragonforce or some gabber might produce unplayable results but there seems to b an absolute maximum and minimum beat the stage will play at with a custom MP3 but I believe you can edit a .TXT file like the official musics and generate the beat timing yourself i you wanted to play around with it.

Although I did not enjoy the game, I do think it deserves the praise it has gotten. Music, art, sounds, voices, game mechanics and trailers are all done perfectly. A real gem in the industry.

I think the idea is she did die from the fall. but the Necrodancer stole her heart. (Literally)
And replaced it with a cursed heart, Which is why she claims her heart beats like a drum but has no pulse in her body. So shes unknowingly trying to get it back while figuring out what happened to her father.
Red Haired Bastard Actually, the Necrodancer took out her heart and cursed it to beat to the rhythm, but he didn't put it back in her body. That is why you can see the heart in the hands of the Necrodancer and that's why Cadence has a purple trail coming out of her chest. That's the link to her heart.
When I found this game.
Me: Alright it's like 1 in the Morning, I'll just clear my Steam Recommendations list and go to bed.
Then I found THIS. and I'm just like.
Me: WTF? Why does this game look both so awesome and so RPG-y at the Same Time?
It looks and sounds amazing and this Trailer is so Fucking Awesome I'm Dl-ing it just to watch it whenever I want. Just cause it's so Awesome. I cant stop watching it. IT'S SO COOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLL. Now I gotta buy it!

THIS GAME IS AMAZING!
Just beat hardcore and there is still a lot of content left. It really captures the spirit of older hardcore gaming titles but is still very attractive to newer players.

You should probably reconsider your stance; this game is already ridiculously fun. $15 ain't that much for the time you'll spend playing it, assuming you like random rouge-like games.
