"...preparing to fianchetto his rook perhaps" 🤣
😄
I love seeing a great match recapped with style in 10 minutes.
Should be obvious you and Gotham are the two goats of recap but to beat Goliath you'll need your niche and being sucicnt and keeping it to just one match is great for me.
A few more thumbs ups and comments to come to help you out Epic.
Thanks a lot appreciate it
Gothams recaps are so long lol he loves the sound of his own voice too much. These are so much better
That queen sacrifice was insane 😬🔥
wow that was a game. He did make his intensions clear in the Olympiad

Great Game by Gukesh it was kind of a crazy positional game but Gukesh seemed one step ahead throughout Thanks for the Game James enjoy your day
That was a great win for Gukesh, saw his one chance and took it. Thanks James.
Gukesh at 16 and beat the world no: 2 , OMG ..🍾🎊👌
"what did the silicon overlord want?" 😆
Love your explanations of moves and commentary on these games. Very instructive.
Ooh wee! Incredible game!
I often enjoy me some doubled isolated pawns. In the endgame its trash but in the middle game there are open files that you control 4 squares of with just those pawns. Throw the front pawn at the enemy pawn chain to break it up and you still have another pawn to work with.
Yes I know its much less than optimal but there are benefits.
Great game! Subscribed.
This channel is so much underrated.
Thanks a lot really appreciate it!
@@epicchess2021 very good game review sir…👌
Incredible
Great positioning 🎉
Great game!
Gukesh, to me, is the strongest example of an Indian chess player playing Indian chess. It's really different from European, American, or even global playing styles. Hard to describe. But think of the alphabet Indians use. I believe Gukesh is Tamil, which has its own writing. You feel like a toddler when you visit countries where you can't read a thing, don't you. Especially when they're below the equator, where stuff moves the other way.
Caruana, arm out the window, gathering some nice speed in his large well-deviced automobile, out in India, drives past a traffic sign that says: 'தலைகீழ்'. Yup.
Nicely put :)
Gulesh has been on fire!
I would sacrifice black bishop h2 and zuzwang
No no no. Now it is Gukesh. - Reminds me of soon "epicearing" THE ROOOOOOOOKK!!! - Please go back to normal.
What did I do I don’t follow sorry!
Maybe he means "no no no" has become your catch phrase. Which I do not mind at all.@@epicchess2021
Well. Was this candidates tournament match . I dont think so. Gukesh didnt beat ian hikaru and fabi in candidates i guess .
Black plays the final move .... bh2+, KxB forced, then Ng4+, white has to sack his Q as Black Qg2 is mate. Maybe visually better than Black QxN on e4.
I had seen the same but there is a fork by Nf6 + and white capture the black queen with interests ! 😅
@@brunomaelstrom8823 Maybe I'm missing something here. If it's Blacks turn to move after white goes Ne4, Black plays Bh2+, K x b IS FORCED, Black plays Ng4+!!!, white IS FORCED Kg1 (or sack his Q) then Black plays Qg2 is mate!
Ok but when Ng4+ now black sack his queen : Qxg4, if Qxg4 Nf6+ wins the queen and if Bxg4, Ng5+ wins the queen also … and then white wins !hope this clarifies !?
@@brunomaelstrom8823 Yeah, I see that just trying to get a winning position which this still does by being a piece up after fork yet doesn't get the ultimate prize - checkmate!
Fabi is Italian
Pawn to e6!!!????
How?
Just ridiculous the lines they play.
Youre outdoing yourself with these alluringg video titles mate. If chess cant get any better than this video, than this will be the last chess video i ever watch 😅
The 'experts' .. other gms were putting him, Abasov and Vidit as almost no chance, rather than dark horses.. he totally blew the field open and it was great.. I knew on the penultimate round it all hinged on his result vs. Hikaru... which he delivered... amazing candidates and he is indeed the favourite to pull it off.. great to see how he won this.. and I would say it was good for chess to get this 'fresh breath' into the leads... ye, N, N and C would be predictably in the top.. nope.. I do think this had a lot to do with Firouzja bottling it of course, but he is also young and the whole point about these events it's NOT just about "rating strength" but about the "carpe diem" syndrome of big events. Kudos to Gukesh and from this moment he cemented his presence in the chess world. :) I won't be surprised if he DOES pull of a surprise win or two vs. Magnus too which is, after all, what Magnus needs.
Fabiano American Caruana...
Dude enough with the hypothetical sequences. Pointless and unnecessary
I appreciate them. Enough with critical comments. Pointless and unnecessary.
I actually quite enjoy them
I think there's a reason every single commentator I've watched brings them up (and Epic Chess is far from "worst"). If some don't, feel free to switch to watching them.
@@JohnTitor-fw8jr how about I smoke you in chess and you delete your UA-cam
Great game!
