Olivier did a good job introducing new elements into the chase tracks giving it less of a repetitive feel as in the old versions. Love how the drums are louder too !
The noticeable but almost unnoticeable change and increase in tempo and instrumentals is amazing. one thing that techland always gets right is the music
Still a bit boring due to how many safezones there are so close together, so end-game chases can end pretty quickly unless you deliberately make the chase longer. Also real easy to get rid of chases after level 2, since roaming volatiles wont spawn anymore. However, if you decide to start a new save file- chases are HARD AS SHIT now, and it's amazing. Honestly reccomend getting the bare minimum health for all combat skills, and then just speccing the rest of your inhibitors into stamina so that chases still keep that exciting feeling into late-game, especially on hard mode.
Techland is second to *NONE* when it comes to caring for their games because they always have a vision they wish to hit. DL2 always had more potential than the first but needed more refinement than they thought.
