Hey Matt, i'm not sure if this will help you as much but i'll leave this comment anyway So when enemies, friendly units and the base take damage they flash and each hit flash has a different color White Flash= Regular Hit Flash Yellow Flash = When a unit is has an anti trait property and is damaging something with that specific trait Grey Flash = That Unit has Defense Blue Flash = That Unit has Resistance Red Flash = Unit Dies or If a Unit deals bonus damage against Bases like Bomb Battler and Hammer Battler Green Flash = Healing
And Armor (not defense lol also it's the blue shield) reduces damage by a fixed amount While Resistance (green helmet stat) decreases damage by a percentage
You’re playing the game right, let nobody tell ya otherwise, the best part about this game is coming up with your OWN strategies, it’s a lot more accomplishing to beat a level with your mind than to look it up on youtube or be told to do by others, albeit, some levels are really that hard though that you do need that video or advice, but I love his healer medic combo, genius, that’s what makes this game fun, being able to come up with your own strategies
i just use autoclick to farm weak lvs using speed batller i guess it works and also works on rocket arena. battle cats too serious cant create actual strat
Matt, I HEAVILY recommend every stage you visit to click the little red/orange triangle on the top left with an exclamation mark. This reveals all the threats that'll be on the stage, although keeps new ones as a surprise until you actually beat their set stage. You can also click on the enemies to see their exact health, damage, and other statistics. This also lets you see the distance between the bases, the magnification (the % number which is mad confusing, so don't mess with it for now), and the enemy base health, alongside what cannon the enemies have. It is also recommended to check the Almanac after checking out a new enemy that might have a confusing gimmick to you, or just checking it out in general for any new threats, as you can read their description usually if not ALWAYS including what they do at a certain amount of health, or something else. About the star system, how it works is after you complete a chapter on a star, you unlock the next one, each chapter & sub-chapter has 3 stars, the way they work is simple; 1 star - Normal cost, and normal magnification 2 star - 1.5x cost, and 1.5x magnification (extra hp and stuff) 3 star - 2x cost, and 2x magnification (extra hp and stuff) Also, if you complete a chapter on all 3 stars, you unlock a special mini version of the final boss you fought in that same chapter!

youre wrong, 2 star is 1.5x cost and 1.5x more magnification, 3 star is 2x and 2x more magnification.
Matt if you put the kamikaze battler (bomber battler alt form) in the slot where the retry is you can put an autoclicker on to beat bomb rush (the 17th level) for loads of xp around 1100 per 6 seconds
Been watching your battle cats series a couple years ago glad to see you playing this game now, Bucket battler is an armored unit, the reason why expos and archers had a hard time killing them is because armored units tend to take less damage from weaker attacks (damage is subtracted by the armor stat armored units have and is reduced down to at least 1 iirc). Sword battler, the fencer dude you have and psi are all pretty good meatshields that can deal with them easily (as well as bomb and motorbike). Also I reccomend upgrading your cheap normal units, some of the normal units actually end up being pretty good throughout the entire game and they're some of the cheapest units to get to level 10 which helps a lot. Also nows a good time to try out a few of the subchapters, maybe not coil chaos because I feel like its nearly as difficult as chapter 1, but birthday bash and classic are both easy and cool, pretty fast and fun ways to get a bit more EXP without replaying stages Hope this helps, love da series fun seeing someone beat TAAAAAAANK with bomb strats
YEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH HE READ ITTTT!! Thanks for taking it into consideration (despite being bombarded by bug numbers) Another very convenient suggestion I have for you is to look in settings and find the option that lets you display both rows of your units instead of you having to press space to switch rows. This’ll make things WAYYY more convenient. Alternatively, you can use your number keys (1-8) to quick select! As for your units, I can’t believe I forgot to mention Healer Battler (not regen)! Once you get him to his alt form, he can heal in an area affected by instead of one-by-one! Since he’s a rare battler, he’ll take substantially less XP compared to the units I mentioned last time. Another tip, except for Psi: Against Titan Battler and many other slow-attacking enemies (like bosses), Psi can be used as a great bait unit, because if you can get his hits right, he can activate his invisibility lunge as the boss attacks, completely voiding the potentially fatal damage. Also as for that thing where you had two little modifier buttons while you were looking at your setup (this was early on in the video) it’s a unit level scaling thing if you wanna make the game harder for no benefit. It hardsets the level of your units and base based on what the 2 numbers say.
12:50 tix were actually a completely separate currency that you got by logging into roblox daily, you used to be able to exchange them for robux at random values
Matt, here are some things I’d recommend upgrading to help you in later, tougher battles: 1: Bank income/unit recharge 2: Psi/titan (would recommend titan for chapter 1 and early chapter 2) 3: Investment bank for bosses 4: Speed battler 5: Expo for bosses When you have the xp and bricks, I would recommend replacing archer with grenade, because grenades do not have a limit on the amount of enemies they hit, and can roll back to kill ranged enemies. I would also recommend replacing regen battler with the regular battler and trowel battler, because they are much more reliable and cheaper.
I'd rather use regen battler and trowel battler, for my experience of using them both it has been more efficient than battler and trowel battler paired together.
Hammer battler has an armor stat (represented by a shield) The way armor works is that its how much damage can an enemy resist from a hit, if the damage is less than the armor it will deal just 1 dmg, flash gray and make a metalic sound This stat can be ignored with paintball's alt form and by fencer battler You can check this stat by looking clicking the red warning sign at the left top corner on the level select
Matt, i am LOVING this series! Im so happy to hear that you intend to finish, i can assure you will like this game, it's one of the best strategy games i have played, best of luck man! 😁
Just going to try to save you time in case nobody else mentions it. The best EXP grind for your level will be rocket arena now. Just spam rush down units and bombers until you win. At first it will take awhile but if you focus on upgrading the rush down units it will get much faster. Also exp costs will reset every 10 levels. Each chapter boss defeated gives +5 max unit level and +2 max base level. If you want to try other roblox games I'll recommend Combat Initiation (roblox ultrakill), Block Tales (rpg deckbuilder), and Phighting (roblox pvp game)
Matt, you don't exactly need to click on the purple gear after chapter 3. The chapters in that mode can be done at any time, and I would say to do the first chapter of that mode after beating the first chapter twice. Another tip im giving is to do "Coil Chaos", the subchapter unlocks a cannon which you need for the boss in chapter 2.
Death' is easier than 3 star Doom', mainly due to no price increases and armor. If matt knows what he is doing and gets a certain soda powered battler or slammer, Death' is pretty easy.
Important tip: if you get stuck there are different types of bases and cannons you can buy with brick for Bases: Investment:money is gained weaker but 4 more levels to upgrade the bank.(In long runs) Powerhouse:more money is gained but negatively slows down respawning npc's. Cannons: Machine gun:lacks splash damage but can shoot battlers and re target. Coilspring:works like regular cannon but pushes back the enemies then stunning them(highly recommend for long boss fights). Treasure:puts a bounty on every non boss enemies and steals money from their bank
Hello, Matt! I'm a super experienced player in the game, so I'll give you some tips, first of all, always try to use battlers while improving your bank, this gives you much more time to upgrade you bank using only 50 every 5-3 seconds, second, always use your cannon when you are full of nearby enemies, AOE is great for the spamming weak enemies, another tip is Improve your Psi at LEVEL 10 trust me, you can win everything just with his alternative version...oh, you can also see strategies or what the enemies do on the game wiki, also, Titan Battler is very usefull for newbies, but make *ANYTHING* to make him alive for longer as you can, btw, you gonna need *ALOT* of meatshield on final level...also get piercing shield stuff on final level, trust me, ya gotta need It, good luck, man🤑 (Also, in the play menu you can see the descriptions of the enemies you encountered by pressing the book near the badges button if I remember correctly.)
3:26 IF im correct, it allows you to lower your units and base's levels, this is mainly done for guide makers so they can leveldown their units and base
Tix were previously an alternate form of currency to Robux. Both existed at the same time but Tix was removed as you could exploit the exchange system where you can convert Tix to Robux, basically printing Robux using the Tix.
@@ricerrx9875thw previous guy didn't explain it clearly the problem is people farm tix by creating alts and buying lots of valuable stuff so roblox removing the tix system is the right thing to do
Nice to see more of this series! Once Ch2 starts the game will ramp up way faster as enemies become more mechanically-unique instead of just damage and range. (The game creator toned down the "gacha before chapter 1" warning after the last video, if you were curious btw)
btw Matt if you complete a chapter, you unlock a sandbox mode where you can have fun with all your battlers that you achieved and with all enemies that you encountered in the chapter you just beat so for example, if you beat whole chapter 1, you can play with all chapter 1 enemies including bosses, but for now just have fun playing, upgrading units and encountering new enemies and playing new chapters or subchapters
Hello Matt, i just want to tell you about a few units First. the Rocket battler. he does big splash damage and is overall a great backliner Second. the Titan battler. He's a really good tank with good damage as well Third. Krip. Krip is a backliner that shoots enemies from afar. his alt for has him shoot slightly slower but for longer before he needs to reload. having a stack of krips is REALLY good. and Fourth. Speed Battler. He is a really good rusher/meat shield. his base for is cheap and spamable and due to his speed can stop enemies farther up then most units, well his alt does a lot more damage, but not as spamable.
here are some tips: -UPGRADE YOUR BANK, it is incredibly important as its the main way you get money and the bounty (money you get per kill) isnt nearly as good as it is in battle cats -you can buy diffrent banks and cannons in the shop -After you beat a chapter you can do it on starred difficulties (up to 3 stars) they are basically the same as the diffrent chapters of EoC prices increase and so do enemy stats I HIGHLY recommend doing all of the star difficulties on chapter 1 as the unit you get as a reward is incredibly good (there is a unique reward for every chapter and that secret mode)
Hey Matt, i recommend getting getting Speed Coil to level 10, I used him (regular form) + motorcycle battler (regular form) to afk farm the Rocket boss in Chapter 1, getting around 4k+ exp every 1-2mins. With x2 it gives an insane 8k+ exp, giving a massive boost to your units. Abusing the boss' slow attack cooldown is the reason why he loses so easily, making it efficient.
Another great video! Progress is much better as you listened to your audience to grind xp and upgrade units. Hammer Battler or the battlers with the buckets have armor. Armor reduces damage by a flat amount, so battlers with little damage aren't so great against them. You'd want to use high damaging battlers against them like Bomb Battler and Paintball Battler (His alt form is able to ignore armor, which is pretty nice). Try uograding your bank to level 7 usually as it's the best flow of income you need, but everything else you're doing is great. Keep making your own strategies, and don't force yourself to have the same playstyles as others.
Hey Matt! I recommend getting the grenade battler for later levels in the game, hes very good for crowd control, and his alt form can also do fire damage!
The alt form of the speed battler has a much better survival rate and can solo the first two bosses, he got me to 4.2milion xp. When he is a high level you can replay the rocket boss and beat it in around 2 minutes by just spamming them. The sub chapters aren't necessarily difficult, I beat most stages in about 10 seconds but I am relatively late game. Bomb battler in his alt form is one of my favourite battlers as it is quick, deals lots of damage, and can control lots of units.
i’m not gonna suggest “oh this upgrade is better” or anything. instead, i’m gonna talk about a very important mechanic: defense (aka the blue shield icon in a unit’s stats). defense subtracts damage so if a unit has 15 defense, and you hit it with 20 damage, it will deal 5 damage instead. if the defense is higher than the damage, you deal 1 damage. the lack of people explaining this pretty important stat to new players kinda disappoints me.
The thing about hammer battler is that it has defense, meaning it takes a flat value of less damage from every hit, so heavy damage is good against them. You can tell if an enemy has defense if when you hit them the effect is grey and it has a metallic hit sound effect
try alt mode after beating ch1 3 stars and ch2 1 star. also upgrade battler to lvl 10. only 5625 XP to get to lvl 10. Do subchapters since they give bricks every 5 stages, just like normal chapters.
Hey matt, you should look in your settings. There is some funny and useful things like showing all eight units at once, instead of having to swap back and forth between four. You should also try to do the sub chapters when needing exp if you don't want to grind large amounts of EXP at once, because they are decently easily to do, and you can get their first clear exp rewards because you can definitely handle the one star difficulties for the first subchapter. another thing I recommend is getting bomb battler to level 10, he becomes a very good kamikaze unit who does massive damage to bases. in certain levels you can use your speed coil battler and him to duo a single level together, making farming exp really easy. About the Star system: I would not recommend doing the star system until you max out your units of choice, and base levels. The levels get really challenges, and might be undoable at your current levels. You can beat the entirety of Chapter 1 1-3 star with just the base units they give though (specials and normals) if they are leveled. Gacha units aren't required.
matt, youre getting towards the end of chapter 1 and i would like you to consider: -buying grenade battler (its more worth getting guaranteed strengh than gambling for something new) -for the final stages of chapter 1, a few of the enemies will be armored. armored units are VERY RESISTANT to units with low damage, like expo. To deal with these, get armor pierce OR high damage battlers like bomber or rocket
Hey MattShea! I recommend buying krip due to his niche dmg that is very fast, Alt Form makes it better as it gives more range. You should also level up Trowel, one of the best meatshields in the game (no joke). (Edit) Also! it's better to grind on Rocket Arena if you only have speed to lvl 10, motorbike to lvl 10, anything fast to lvl 10 to destroy jetrock in a fast time, 6k bricks every 2 games is great. But do what you feel is better.
This is amazing!!! Edit 1: Long range units is very useful if there is more than 3 or 4 🍖shields (I tested it) Edit 2: you inspired me to play this game and it’s very fun thanks :) Edit 3: lvl 10 or more titan battler has more than 2K hp
Hey Matt! Got a few tips for you. I recommend buying investment bank and gatling cannon for the upcoming boss battle against Doombringer on stage 30. Investment: Starts off weaker than the starter bank but has +4 levels that produces great money for boss stages or stages that take a long time to beat. Gatling: Does amazing single target damage against those tanky af titan battlers but is useless against enemies with armor like hammer battler. Note: Doombringer has armor, so be careful when using gatling on him. Also, once you beat chapter 1, I recommend getting the slammer cannon for amazing high damage AOE but lacks infinite range for chapter 2. Note: There are three chapters in total as in the game rn, chapter 2 has red enemies, and chapter 3 has black enemies. Red enemies: Will explode and gain a 1.5x damage boost at half health. Note that chapter 2 has a lot of tanky brute pushers. Black enemies: All black enemy attacks will apply the Deathmark effect, which makes the unit take all the damage from the last three hits at once. Also most of them have damage resistance. Also, once you beat a chapter on all three stars, you get lil units which are the little versions of the bosses you faced for each chapter. SECRET: Spam clicking on the tumore logo (the purple gear when you first load the game) will unlock tumore mode, but I recommend beating the whole game on casual/normal first because tumore is way harder, giving enemies their alt forms and doubling the strength multiplier.
by the way if you didn't know yet, you can actually earn bricks every 24 hours in the streak. it is located in the menu in the flag image. It also actually increases the amount of bricks you earn in the week from 25 to 50 to 75 and then 100, the count is also only in the week your collecting those bricks. There is also a catch though, if you dont collect the bricks in the next 24 hours when they're available, the streak resets.
Hey Matt! A game i suggest is Tower Defense Simulator (TDS), i feel like you would really enjoy it, it has great visuals, the maps are detailed, and the attack effects are just amazing, I would love it if you gave this game a chance!
Matt, There is a star system just like battle cats. If you can beat Chapter 1 on 3 Stars, you can get a Lil’ unit just like in battle cats. Just know, 3 Star boss is really hard. The Lil’ units are super worth it. Basically 1 star boss has 8k hp, 3 star has 16k hp. Make sure you can upgrade them alot, their maximum level makes them vital units. Try using both phases sometime, they can be useful in different situations
The one menu when selecting a lvl is like you can change units level in your loadout, so you can make like every unit level 0 or 10, as long as all of them are upgraded enough u can use it, same goes for the base
Cool seeing videos on this coming out. Subchapters are easier the earlier the stage they are obtained on, so in this case the classic subchapter and birthday bash would be pretty easy.
Hi, I’m just here to talk of a strat for the final few levels of chapter 1: You can use the warning sign per level to preview the enemies (including their stats) and with that knowledge, you can upgrade your cannon to do just enough damage to counter certain enemies like bomb battler or pesky backliners after breaking through. If you grind enough xp this shouldn’t be a problem but if you are on an xp budget, this is something that could be considered. Queue the obligatory “keep up the good videos” part of this comment :D
You’ve encountered the first enemy to use the armor stat, hammer battler The way armor works is that whatever amount of armor an enemy has will lower damage taken (ex.: enemy has 15 armor and your unit does 20 damage, 20 damage - 15 armor = 5 damage) If your units do less damage than the amount of armor then the damage will equal 1 (ex.: enemy has 15 armor and your unit does 10 damage, 10 - 15 = -5, 0> not possible so it defaults to 1 damage) so basically weak but fast attacking units like expo kinda suck against armored stuff Sorry if this explanation is confusing i don’t really know how to explain it well
2 useful things: 1.when you beat any chapter, you unlock difficulty selecting (stars), every chapter have 3 difficulty stars 2. When you beat any chapter on 3 stars, you unlock mini-version of final boss as unit, if you beat any chapter on 3 stars tumore, you unlock tumored version of units
i recommend grinding jetrock since he gives more xp, a level 10 speed battler (not alt) by itself can solo jetrock, even faster once you beat ch1 and get an extra +5 levels
Ok matt! Battle bricks professional here (no i am not) look in your inventory. When you click on a unit at the top it might say anti- these units do more dmg to those types of units. Example chapter 2 has red units if a unit says anti red if will deal more dmg to them. Chapter 1 doesnt have a trait chapter 2 is red chapter 3 is black chapter 4 is angle 5 is zombie 6 is devil 7 is starred. In the gatcha area those banners are used so that u can pick what trait you want to roll. God my hand hurts
Tip:use subchapters to gain bricks if you're struggling to get or you could just waste some money for robux and then bricks by the way upgrade speed battler to max it's worth it
Matt i recommend buying Krip and getting him to level 10. He is gonna be useful for most stages including the final stage of chapter 1. He is gonna be extremely useful for the 2nd chapter because he is strong against the burning reds. Oh and watch out for the hammer dudes, with those buckets on their heads they get more defense. So any hard hitting battler or defense piercing (fencer battler) can ignore defense armor
this is the unit i'm talking about. medic and some other units pair really well with this one. also expo has been recently hit with a nerf. It used to shoot much faster than it does now. It's still likely the best ranger in the game, but it's been hit hard.
I feel that the subchapters are too quite fun, and some certain ones like Coil Chaos are pretty long and are nearly as long as a main story chapter. They're definitely unique, you should maybe check out Coil Chaos next episode!
You should click the triangle thing at stage select, it shows the stats of hazards and enemies in that stage. I recommend not using expo for doombringer but i recommend grenade over archer due to the defence
Something you should prepare for the final boss is to max out the cheap meatshields, which are the trowel and the normal battler. It wouldn’t cost a lot of grinding since their level upgrades cost less xp than special units.
Hey Mattshea here’s a good tip for getting bricks, if you click the red flag ( streak ) in the menu you can get bricks everyday each 2 days increasing by 25 but it resets after day 7. ( also you can try subchapter whenever you want. In my opinion it goes from easiest to hardest the community packs being pretty easy. It also can be good for grinding bricks )
Matt you should definitely play World Tower Defense, it's basically a pretty hard tower defense game (for beginners only), so if you wanted to play a hard challenging game then you should play it
Matt, i heavily recommend you getting paintball alt form (lvl 10) and grenade battler, because in fact they both are popular against the first final boss, and if you want to unlock tumore, beat atleast doomspire brickbattle (and 3 stars)
Something good you could do is investing into Trowel Battler, who can offer great defense with his wall even at more difficult stages while being very cheap to both deploy and upgrade, kinda similar to Eraser Cat. His alt form has a stronger wall but it takes a bit longer to build up, being more brittle the moment it spawns, thus it's more reccomend to use on stages with a less agressive frontline
titan battler is one of the few battlers that will surpass 2000 hp before hitting level 20, his alt focuses on tanking rather than dmg, as his alt can heal themselves, titan is also the final regular battler you will ever get, now we focus on specials and the cards Though titan battler has the most health in the game, he isn't the only tank the enemies have either, for example: bosses, bosses appear every 10th stage, a titan-like enemy will spawn after the 25th stage, the next titan is a red traited one, I wont give you much more information other than that the red titan has a rage mechanic
Hey Matt, I recommend you should get speed battler to level 10 as it turns to dual speed battler that may be slower but does 120 something damage per hit, also I recommend you attack after getting level 3 wallet as it actually increases money production speed unlike battle cats.
hey matt i know im late but this is a double tip first before you will battle at the top left theres a button that tells you how many enemies and what the enemies are there are and second if you wanna lose early click the button at the top left that makes you lose instantly but you to press it a couple times
I highly recommend getting psi and titan to there evolve forms so that it will make your life easier and save up some bricks like around 400 or 600 to get new bases and Banks and base health at early is not really needed but later on base health is really recommended and the orange warning means it shows what enemies their are and how much base health and how much can the enemy base spawn units
Hey Matt, if you don’t want to grind for xp there’s a way you can get like almost a million xp overnight by afk farming by getting an auto clicker and spamming speed battlers. You just need to make sure your mouse is hovering over the replay button on a level and that it’s also clicking to spawn units. There’s tutorials you can look online on how to do it.
I recommend doing rocket arena with speed, bomber and motorcycle as it can speedrun the boss and also recommended to upgrade some battler to the max (like slinger or speed)as titan and psi is to expensive upgrade so u should prob do rocket arena like i recommend Tip: some banks and cannons have their own use Cannon: when theres mutiple enemies grouped up Gatling:shredds big threats but can be stopped by armoured units Slammer:if its a rush stage slammer can take care the enemies with its extra hp when equipped Default: can be used if ur uncomfortable with other banks Investment:it has 4 more levels than default but gets less income Powerhouse:gives more income but makes unit recharge slower Thats all the things you should prob do (its ok if you dont ill let you play the game your own style)
Hey Matt, unlock kamikaze, aka Bomb Battler's alt, it should only take about 40,000 or so, and it's worth it, cause it doesn't charge up a bomb, it runs into enemies and does 420 DMG, and has splash damage, it's REALLY good for Doombringer, mostly if Titan's are bothering you. Also make sure you keep upgrading all your units.
hey mattshea! you should use the number keys from 1-8 to spawn enemies. disable the unit switch in settings so you can spam your meatshields from your prefered slots while clicking the main dps or supports
remember to click on the little warning button to see which enemies you are going up against, and some enemies have a few different gimmicks which might render some battlers completely useless. chapter 1 only has armor for a couple dudes, so high damage per hit (recommend leveling up titan for this) is good since armor negates a certain amount of damage dealt. good luck on the next boss!!!
The gatling cannon fires multiple bullets, shredding through enemies. Against armored units, it doesn't do as well due to the damage reduction. Reccomended for EXP grinding, shredding meatshields, or doing a lot of damage to a single (unarmored) enemy. The alternate forms of the normal units are very powerful when used correctly. Try them out!
matt, once you beat a chapter you unlock stars which are basically the same thing as crowns in the battle cats and once you beat a chapter on 3 stars you unlock a special unit!!! by the way, max bomb battler because his alt form is a rusher which is really helpful when you're farming xp
Hey matt, the fast way to get xp is level 10 from chapter 2 with motorbike and speed battler but they both need to be level higher level so its hard to do (level 20 for both should be okay so requires to beat chapter 2)edit:kamikaze (bomb battler alt) is just a thing to speed it up if needed
hey matt i would reccomend getting power house bank for easier normal levels and investment for boss levels because power house will give u money quickly and make units recharge slower a little bit, investment has weaker income at first but u can get higher levels on it Also PLEASE UPGRADE YOUR BANK A FEW TIMES MORE INGAME than getting lvl 2 bank get higher level bank please And you can go in settings so you dont have to waste time pressing space for switching units
Can you please play the game Vent Runners next? We're really tryna grow it and we think you'd help a lot! Also it's based off of catos vr! I think you'd love it as it has much to offer.
Matt Psi becomes very strong when he has his alt form bit he cost 2k and when you go to diffrent chapters units cost more and theres stars so you have to repeat the same chapter 3 times and prices get higher each star and expo battler turns into vulcan battle its very good for single target enimies so its good for bosses and psi alt form is good too and btw keep healer when your fighting bosses to heal and regen is good for normal stages but not bosses stages bc the boss normally one shots thembut for the weaker ones its good
Matt, one tip for after chapter one is to collect the unit lil doombringer by getting to the screen where you can access awards and claim him. You should definitely upgrade lil doombringer as he is almost as strong if not stronger than titan, and lil doom has armor that the Titan battler does not.
hey matt, did you know you unlock a sandbox mode for a chapter and its units if you beat it on all 3 stars? (this includes subchapters) that being said, i have one tip for you when fighting chapter 1's final boss. upgrade your paintball to level 10 and use its alt form which pierces the armor that the boss has plenty of.
useful tip that you NEED to know: keep upgrading ur base in battle it gives you more recharge speed, more money speed, AND probably more cash idk I cant tell from the speed on max level
Matt, Once you complete chapter 1, you'll get a star, you can get 3 stars on a chapter. 1 star is 100% cost & exp gain, 2 star is 150% cost & exp, 3 star is 200% cost & exp. Take this to prevent you going insane on ch. 3, 3 star.
Matt i know à super units to use when your ennemi hit you super fast : spike battler is à rare units that reflect damage to nearby ennemies and have good défense. You should try it
believe me matt, you WILL need base health for upcoming chapters. I was like you but i failed on chapter 3 stage 20 because there are enemies that pierce through everything, he has really low damage but it is enough to overwhelm and kill you base eventually. again, its no issue now, but keep in in mind.
Please upgrade base health matt or the final boss of chapter one will one tap your base before his second phase activates if you don’t upgrade the base HP, so just please do it man, I am a seasoned TBB player and I know what will happen, also the second boss in chapter two will also hit you base directly and will destroy it without even needing to kill all of your units
Hey Matt, i'm not sure if this will help you as much but i'll leave this comment anyway
So when enemies, friendly units and the base take damage they flash and each hit flash has a different color
White Flash= Regular Hit Flash
Yellow Flash = When a unit is has an anti trait property and is damaging something with that specific trait
Grey Flash = That Unit has Defense
Blue Flash = That Unit has Resistance
Red Flash = Unit Dies or If a Unit deals bonus damage against Bases like Bomb Battler and Hammer Battler
Green Flash = Healing
that is correct
True
nice tip
Yellow also happens on the base it means it’s a battler like titan or bomb where they deal extra damage to the base
And Armor (not defense lol also it's the blue shield) reduces damage by a fixed amount
While Resistance (green helmet stat) decreases damage by a percentage
You’re playing the game right, let nobody tell ya otherwise, the best part about this game is coming up with your OWN strategies, it’s a lot more accomplishing to beat a level with your mind than to look it up on youtube or be told to do by others, albeit, some levels are really that hard though that you do need that video or advice, but I love his healer medic combo, genius, that’s what makes this game fun, being able to come up with your own strategies
Get this comment up there
Yes there is no better than beating a difficult stage using my own strategy from my own experience.
who's going to tell mattshea he forgot to claim Trainee Battler (you can see that he didn't claim Trainee Battler yet at 23:12)
i just use autoclick to farm weak lvs using speed batller i guess it works and also works on rocket arena. battle cats too serious cant create actual strat
But when u get to late tumore basically EVERY level needs a strat
About the star system, how it works is after you complete a chapter on a star, you unlock the next one, each chapter & sub-chapter has 3 stars, the way they work is simple;
1 star - Normal cost, and normal magnification
2 star - 1.5x cost, and 1.5x magnification (extra hp and stuff)
3 star - 2x cost, and 2x magnification (extra hp and stuff)
Also, if you complete a chapter on all 3 stars, you unlock a special mini version of the final boss you fought in that same chapter!
youre wrong, 2 star is 1.5x cost and 1.5x more magnification, 3 star is 2x and 2x more magnification.
That's the same thing. Health is varied by Magnification
magnification changes Armor and Damage in enemies stats too
@@notconvenient Oh, yeah i should probably update my comment.
Matt if you put the kamikaze battler (bomber battler alt form)
in the slot where the retry is you can put an autoclicker on to beat
bomb rush (the 17th level) for loads of xp around 1100 per 6 seconds
Matt needs to see this

gonna reply to this comment for matt to see
this is extremely useful as it'd be awful if matt got burnt out from how awful grinding normally is
@@Nexuss-iy7kr M A C R O
Been watching your battle cats series a couple years ago glad to see you playing this game now,
Bucket battler is an armored unit, the reason why expos and archers had a hard time killing them is because armored units tend to take less damage from weaker attacks (damage is subtracted by the armor stat armored units have and is reduced down to at least 1 iirc).
Also nows a good time to try out a few of the subchapters, maybe not coil chaos because I feel like its nearly as difficult as chapter 1, but birthday bash and classic are both easy and cool, pretty fast and fun ways to get a bit more EXP without replaying stages
Hope this helps, love da series fun seeing someone beat TAAAAAAANK with bomb strats
YEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHH HE READ ITTTT!! Thanks for taking it into consideration (despite being bombarded by bug numbers)
Another very convenient suggestion I have for you is to look in settings and find the option that lets you display both rows of your units instead of you having to press space to switch rows.
Another tip, except for Psi:
Against Titan Battler and many other slow-attacking enemies (like bosses), Psi can be used as a great bait unit, because if you can get his hits right, he can activate his invisibility lunge as the boss attacks, completely voiding the potentially fatal damage.
Also as for that thing where you had two little modifier buttons while you were looking at your setup (this was early on in the video) it’s a unit level scaling thing if you wanna make the game harder for no benefit. It hardsets the level of your units and base based on what the 2 numbers say.
Up
12:50 tix were actually a completely separate currency that you got by logging into roblox daily, you used to be able to exchange them for robux at random values
Matt, here are some things I’d recommend upgrading to help you in later, tougher battles:
1: Bank income/unit recharge
2: Psi/titan (would recommend titan for chapter 1 and early chapter 2)
3: Investment bank for bosses
4: Speed battler
5: Expo for bosses
When you have the xp and bricks, I would recommend replacing archer with grenade, because grenades do not have a limit on the amount of enemies they hit, and can roll back to kill ranged enemies. I would also recommend replacing regen battler with the regular battler and trowel battler, because they are much more reliable and cheaper.
I'd rather use regen battler and trowel battler, for my experience of using them both it has been more efficient than battler and trowel battler paired together.
Hammer battler has an armor stat (represented by a shield)
The way armor works is that its how much damage can an enemy resist from a hit, if the damage is less than the armor it will deal just 1 dmg, flash gray and make a metalic sound
This stat can be ignored with paintball's alt form and by fencer battler
You can check this stat by looking clicking the red warning sign at the left top corner on the level select
Boost this man
It flashess grey even if the damage is higher
Blocktales isn't really a deck builder, you don't actually have cards and they are just your equipment
The exp does scale after level 10 tho
Matt, you don't exactly need to click on the purple gear after chapter 3. The chapters in that mode can be done at any time, and I would say to do the first chapter of that mode after beating the first chapter twice. Another tip im giving is to do "Coil Chaos", the subchapter unlocks a cannon which you need for the boss in chapter 2.
Why two Times?
Death' is easier than 3 star Doom', mainly due to no price increases and armor. If matt knows what he is doing and gets a certain soda powered battler or slammer, Death' is pretty easy.
@@Saul_enjoyersince 2 star
You don't need recoil for turking/infernus
@@yoshiethan2000yeah but recoil is one of the best cannons for turking
Important tip: if you get stuck there are different types of bases and cannons you can buy with brick for
Bases:
Investment:money is gained weaker but 4 more levels to upgrade the bank.(In long runs)
Powerhouse:more money is gained but negatively slows down respawning npc's.
Cannons:
Machine gun:lacks splash damage but can shoot battlers and re target.
Coilspring:works like regular cannon but pushes back the enemies then stunning them(highly recommend for long boss fights).
Treasure:puts a bounty on every non boss enemies and steals money from their bank
Hello, Matt! I'm a super experienced player in the game, so I'll give you some tips, first of all, always try to use battlers while improving your bank, this gives you much more time to upgrade you bank using only 50 every 5-3 seconds, second, always use your cannon when you are full of nearby enemies, AOE is great for the spamming weak enemies, another tip is Improve your Psi at LEVEL 10 trust me, you can win everything just with his alternative version...oh, you can also see strategies or what the enemies do on the game wiki, also, Titan Battler is very usefull for newbies, but make *ANYTHING* to make him alive for longer as you can, btw, you gonna need *ALOT* of meatshield on final level...also get piercing shield stuff on final level, trust me, ya gotta need It, good luck, man🤑
(Also, in the play menu you can see the descriptions of the enemies you encountered by pressing the book near the badges button if I remember correctly.)
noo he's gonna get ubercarried again
we wanna see matt strategize so when he wins he actually has a genuine reaction!!

3:26 IF im correct, it allows you to lower your units and base's levels, this is mainly done for guide makers so they can leveldown their units and base
You are correct, in my testing, they let you select what level your base and unit levels are. But they cannot go higher than they already are.
Tix were previously an alternate form of currency to Robux. Both existed at the same time but Tix was removed as you could exploit the exchange system where you can convert Tix to Robux, basically printing Robux using the Tix.
Now you told me that Roblox is the 10th dumbest app in my opinion (NOT INCLUDING BRAINROT GAMES)
they could just remove the exchange system
@@ricerrx9875thw previous guy didn't explain it clearly the problem is people farm tix by creating alts and buying lots of valuable stuff so roblox removing the tix system is the right thing to do
For the hammer battlers I recommend strong hard hitting guys or armour piercers(fencer battler as an example)
Yeah like a lvl ten speed coil battler
Hello Matt, i just want to tell you about a few units
First. the Rocket battler. he does big splash damage and is overall a great backliner
Second. the Titan battler. He's a really good tank with good damage as well
Third. Krip. Krip is a backliner that shoots enemies from afar. his alt for has him shoot slightly slower but for longer before he needs to reload. having a stack of krips is REALLY good.
and Fourth. Speed Battler. He is a really good rusher/meat shield. his base for is cheap and spamable and due to his speed can stop enemies farther up then most units, well his alt does a lot more damage, but not as spamable.
yay another W video :D, btw you should really upgrade rocket battler, its very good
here are some tips:
-UPGRADE YOUR BANK, it is incredibly important as its the main way you get money and the bounty (money you get per kill) isnt nearly as good as it is in battle cats
-you can buy diffrent banks and cannons in the shop
-After you beat a chapter you can do it on starred difficulties (up to 3 stars) they are basically the same as the diffrent chapters of EoC prices increase and so do enemy stats
I HIGHLY recommend doing all of the star difficulties on chapter 1 as the unit you get as a reward is incredibly good (there is a unique reward for every chapter and that secret mode)
Yay Roblox series!
Bomb battler in his alt form is one of my favourite battlers as it is quick, deals lots of damage, and can control lots of units.
i’m not gonna suggest “oh this upgrade is better” or anything.
instead, i’m gonna talk about a very important mechanic: defense (aka the blue shield icon in a unit’s stats).
defense subtracts damage
so if a unit has 15 defense, and you hit it with 20 damage, it will deal 5 damage instead. if the defense is higher than the damage, you deal 1 damage.
the lack of people explaining this pretty important stat to new players kinda disappoints me.
I hope you enjoy playing Battle Bricks Matt. New content pops up every few months giving you more content, Cool right?
The thing about hammer battler is that it has defense, meaning it takes a flat value of less damage from every hit, so heavy damage is good against them. You can tell if an enemy has defense if when you hit them the effect is grey and it has a metallic hit sound effect
Is that the real Beegredbirb!?
try alt mode after beating ch1 3 stars and ch2 1 star. also upgrade battler to lvl 10. only 5625 XP to get to lvl 10.
I recommend using ranged units against enemies that does massive damage, rushing them will just result of all ur unit dying.
I love your battle bricks videos keep making them please mattshea!
matt, youre getting towards the end of chapter 1 and i would like you to consider:
-buying grenade battler
(its more worth getting guaranteed strengh than gambling for something new)
-for the final stages of chapter 1, a few of the enemies will be armored. armored units are VERY RESISTANT to units with low damage, like expo.
It might be cool to see you play Roblox Pressure too!
This is amazing!!!
Edit 1: Long range units is very useful if there is more than 3 or 4 🍖shields (I tested it)
Edit 2: you inspired me to play this game and it’s very fun thanks :)
Edit 3: lvl 10 or more titan battler has more than 2K hp
i recommend maxing out the speed coil battler but keep the first form, ITS OVERPOWERED!!! it will help you beat stages a lot!
Shhhh don't spoil last boss for C1 trust
@@Uriel-g3f Oh sorry man my bad
Hey matt, if you beat chapter one in 3 stars you will unlock a very special unit :)
by the way if you didn't know yet, you can actually earn bricks every 24 hours in the streak.
it is located in the menu in the flag image.
It also actually increases the amount of bricks you earn in the week from 25 to 50 to 75 and then 100, the count is also only in the week your collecting those bricks.
There is also a catch though, if you dont collect the bricks in the next 24 hours when they're available, the streak resets.
Hey Matt! A game i suggest is Tower Defense Simulator (TDS), i feel like you would really enjoy it, it has great visuals, the maps are detailed, and the attack effects are just amazing, I would love it if you gave this game a chance!
tip get kamikazie battler alt form of bomber battler its really good for bases
Matt Upgrade The battler to LV 10 he have 140 hp is better than regen battler
Some tips for Matt:
The boss on Stage 10 is named Paintmaster.
The boss on stage 20 is named Jetrock,
And the boss on stage 30 is named Doombringer.
Matt, you need to use krip and slinger battler, those are the 2 best DPS battles for early game
Hey Matt, since you're taking suggestions for Roblox games to play maybe try other tower defense games like Tower Defense Simulator or Tower Defense X
Hi, I’m just here to talk of a strat for the final few levels of chapter 1:
You can use the warning sign per level to preview the enemies (including their stats) and with that knowledge, you can upgrade your cannon to do just enough damage to counter certain enemies like bomb battler or pesky backliners after breaking through. If you grind enough xp this shouldn’t be a problem but if you are on an xp budget, this is something that could be considered.
Queue the obligatory “keep up the good videos” part of this comment :D
You’ve encountered the first enemy to use the armor stat, hammer battler
The way armor works is that whatever amount of armor an enemy has will lower damage taken (ex.: enemy has 15 armor and your unit does 20 damage, 20 damage - 15 armor = 5 damage)
If your units do less damage than the amount of armor then the damage will equal 1 (ex.: enemy has 15 armor and your unit does 10 damage, 10 - 15 = -5, 0> not possible so it defaults to 1 damage) so basically weak but fast attacking units like expo kinda suck against armored stuff
Sorry if this explanation is confusing i don’t really know how to explain it well
2 useful things:
1.when you beat any chapter, you unlock difficulty selecting (stars), every chapter have 3 difficulty stars
Amazing I love these videos you should make more in the future
Tip:use subchapters to gain bricks if you're struggling to get or you could just waste some money for robux and then bricks by the way upgrade speed battler to max it's worth it
Matt I recommend you playing block tales it's really fun
Matt i recommend buying Krip and getting him to level 10. He is gonna be useful for most stages including the final stage of chapter 1. He is gonna be extremely useful for the 2nd chapter because he is strong against the burning reds. Oh and watch out for the hammer dudes, with those buckets on their heads they get more defense. So any hard hitting battler or defense piercing (fencer battler) can ignore defense armor
I Highly Recommend To Fully Upgrade Speed Battler Into Level 10, He Works Just Like The Motorbike Battler But Better, and Deals Very Good Dammage.
this is the unit i'm talking about. medic and some other units pair really well with this one.
also expo has been recently hit with a nerf.
Yay more battle bricks! I really wanna play this game!
His alt form has a stronger wall but it takes a bit longer to build up, being more brittle the moment it spawns, thus it's more reccomend to use on stages with a less agressive frontline
titan battler is one of the few battlers that will surpass 2000 hp before hitting level 20, his alt focuses on tanking rather than dmg, as his alt can heal themselves, titan is also the final regular battler you will ever get, now we focus on specials and the cards
Though titan battler has the most health in the game, he isn't the only tank the enemies have either, for example: bosses, bosses appear every 10th stage, a titan-like enemy will spawn after the 25th stage, the next titan is a red traited one, I wont give you much more information other than that the red titan has a rage mechanic
Nice series keep it up
Hey Matt, I recommend you should get speed battler to level 10 as it turns to dual speed battler that may be slower but does 120 something damage per hit, also I recommend you attack after getting level 3 wallet as it actually increases money production speed unlike battle cats.
hey matt i know im late but this is a double tip
first before you will battle at the top left theres a button that tells you how many enemies and what the enemies are there are and second if you wanna lose early click the button at the top left that makes you lose instantly but you to press it a couple times
I recommend doing rocket arena with speed, bomber and motorcycle as it can speedrun the boss and also recommended to upgrade some battler to the max (like slinger or speed)as titan and psi is to expensive upgrade so u should prob do rocket arena like i recommend
Tip: some banks and cannons have their own use
Cannon: when theres mutiple enemies grouped up
Gatling:shredds big threats but can be stopped by armoured units
Slammer:if its a rush stage slammer can take care the enemies with its extra hp when equipped
Default: can be used if ur uncomfortable with other banks
Investment:it has 4 more levels than default but gets less income
Powerhouse:gives more income but makes unit recharge slower
Thats all the things you should prob do (its ok if you dont ill let you play the game your own style)
Yes matshea finally posted more battle bricks🎉🎉❤❤
I recommend grinding jetrock for great xp as you can get a max titan in about 3 weeks
Hey matt, the fast way to get xp is level 10 from chapter 2 with motorbike and speed battler but they both need to be level higher level so its hard to do (level 20 for both should be okay so requires to beat chapter 2)edit:kamikaze (bomb battler alt) is just a thing to speed it up if needed
hey matt i would reccomend getting power house bank for easier normal levels and investment for boss levels because power house will give u money quickly and make units recharge slower a little bit, investment has weaker income at first but u can get higher levels on it
Also PLEASE UPGRADE YOUR BANK A FEW TIMES MORE INGAME than getting lvl 2 bank get higher level bank please
And you can go in settings so you dont have to waste time pressing space for switching units
Can you please play the game Vent Runners next? We're really tryna grow it and we think you'd help a lot! Also it's based off of catos vr! I think you'd love it as it has much to offer.
Matt Psi becomes very strong when he has his alt form bit he cost 2k and when you go to diffrent chapters units cost more and theres stars so you have to repeat the same chapter 3 times and prices get higher each star and expo battler turns into vulcan battle its very good for single target enimies so its good for bosses and psi alt form is good too and btw keep healer when your fighting bosses to heal and regen is good for normal stages but not bosses stages bc the boss normally one shots thembut for the weaker ones its good
Matt!! Jelly cat has a true form!!!
Matt, one tip for after chapter one is to collect the unit lil doombringer by getting to the screen where you can access awards and claim him. You should definitely upgrade lil doombringer as he is almost as strong if not stronger than titan, and lil doom has armor that the Titan battler does not.
You should try the subchapters! For free xp and bricks... Although.... It's kinda tough with new enemies...
hey matt, did you know you unlock a sandbox mode for a chapter and its units if you beat it on all 3 stars? (this includes subchapters)
that being said, i have one tip for you when fighting chapter 1's final boss. upgrade your paintball to level 10 and use its alt form which pierces the armor that the boss has plenty of.
useful tip that you NEED to know: keep upgrading ur base in battle it gives you more recharge speed, more money speed, AND probably more cash idk I cant tell from the speed on max level
Nice vids matt
Idk if u like tower defense, but I would recommend anime last stand :D
Matt, Once you complete chapter 1, you'll get a star, you can get 3 stars on a chapter. 1 star is 100% cost & exp gain, 2 star is 150% cost & exp, 3 star is 200% cost & exp. Take this to prevent you going insane on ch. 3, 3 star.
and 1 star = 100% enemy dmg, 2 star 150% and 3 star 200% alongside with extra hp
Matt i know à super units to use when your ennemi hit you super fast : spike battler is à rare units that reflect damage to nearby ennemies and have good défense. You should try it
Yo Matt, a tip is that ninja battler motorcycle battler and speed battler is the best for grinding xp
believe me matt, you WILL need base health for upcoming chapters.
