As a hotel General Manager for over 40 years, I thought you did an excellent job in evaluating the hotel and all of your comments I felt were right on. I have enjoyed your past for a number of years and am very excited to now watch your video reviews. Thank You, Great Job, and keep them coming.
Very comprehensive review Jake thanks! Seemed like a very knowledgeable look at the resort. Properties like this serve a purpose and I’m always amazed that the people who think they should get a $400 experience for a $60 price tag. I wouldn’t stay there, but not everyone is on my budget and it would be better than not going to Vegas. (I’m a 40 year vet of Hosptality so I know)
Honest and comprehensive review. I appreciate you saying a few good things about it since it gets completely slammed by everyone else (rightly so for the most part)
Excellent review! Very comprehensive description as usual, but the video makes it more complete. After watching, you would be fully aware of what you're getting for your money, no surprises. 👍
I've been getting your great newsletter for years. The video was good, because it was authentic like your newsletter. I really wouldn't change a thing. The one thing that Circus Circus has for kids and younger teens is their Christmas themed attraction in the entertainment dome. It was a fair assessment.
Congrats on the new endeavor! I know it takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there like this. The info was good. I agree with the other comment regarding gambling info. Personally, that and the in-casino video are the only reasons I watch stuff like this. I'd also recommend some variance in the camera shot when you're talking. It got a little tedious just watching you talk from your desk. It was also a bit distracting to have you sitting tilted over at an angle. Thanks for the info and good luck!
Great call - I agree that watching me talk is awful, ha! The goal is to minimize the "talking head" aspect of these videos as much as humanly possible and get more video clips of the room, resort, etc. so it's not me in my lame office. Thanks for the feedback !
I'm staying at Circus Circus next month. Glad the rooms are clean. So it's a little outdated, but I can overlook that, especially for the price. I'm not disappointed with Circus Circus. Its also the resort amenities. Can't wait 😊
I've stayed at Circus 🎪 Circus 🎪 three times in the past year. I liked it, I always do a Vegas vacation on a budget. I tend to always get the best deals when I combine airfare and hotel 🛏️. The prices for other budget hotels were about three hundred dollars more than at Circus 🎪 Circus 🎪. I've stayed at the West Tower all three times. My only complaint about the rooms was there was no carpet but I would still go back there again.
Informative review I much prefer that location then the craziness of center strip. You all across the street from the fountainblue and a couple of resorts. There’s also a mall down the street, and it’s easy to get the Déuce and head downtown.
Great call - I'm going to make sure to cover gaming conditions more in depth going forward. That was a miss. They do have $5 blackjack at Slots A Fun though!
@@StalkingTheStrip Thanks! And along those lines, it might be good to include a critique of the dealers. Particularly whether they're friendly, courteous, etc. I go to a lot of casinos around the country and Vegas unfortunately has a reputation for grumpy dealers, so I'm always on the lookout for dealers who I can have fun with while I'm losing my money.
I stayed there two weeks ago, the main tower (same tower where check-in) I choose cheap accommodations, and not expecting much. However to my pleasent surprise, the room was fairly nice, and well maintained. Be warned, kids are everywhere, which you should expect as it is one of the few that cater to families. For the money, hard to beat. If your trip is about glamour and Vegas nightlife, move on to other resorts, but expect to pay double when all is said and done.
Circus circus was the first casino and hotel. My husband and I stayed at 30 years ago. It was a place to have fun and a good place to have good food and Room was clean the bed was comfortable. The bed was clean. The carpet was clean. There is no marks on the walls. The bathroom was up-to-date the faucets shiny and clean. We had no complaints. The price was right For the room. You could not pay me to stay there today It’s time to remodel the rooms update them as well. I don’t know if I would trust the buffet nowadays, but it looks like a place to still have fun.
Nice job Jake and Ike. Phil Ruffin is a cheap bastard but I'm glad he did a little refresh outside with some fresh paint. Would never stay there but the steakhouse somehow defies all expectations. Also love that Slots A Fun is doing $5 BJ and real coin machines.

True. Not my "cup of tea" necessarily, but certainly serves a purpose.

Great video! Very informative and I feel like I could make an informed decision on whether or not to stay at Circus Circus!

Glad you've had great experiences! No carpet though?! Was the flooring decent?
Yes the floor was clean, but to me it still feels a little gritty.
Great video! These will be fun to watch. Do you go to other casino destinations? Like Laughlin or Reno? Just wondering. I think Laughlin is beautiful!
I haven't made it a habit to cheat on Vegas ;) But should add Laughlin and Reno to my list of "to-dos". Sounds like fun.
I've enjoyed all of your videos and am excited for more. Keep doing what you're doing.

FB and RW are a huge plus, but that's a rough stretch of the Strip.
Outstanding review Jake. Pretty thorough and very descriptive. Curious about the table game minimums.

It definately is a fun spot still! The hotel caters to a budget crowd, which you'd expect after so many years in service.
Would love to revisit this one someday… but not anytime soon. It’s a hot mess.
It's definitely not for everyone. That's for sure.

Circus Circus is a disaster it's old and need of a total renovation.
It could certainly use some work, but I'm not sure their current clientele really cares about cosmetic deficiencies.
Resorts circus circus is a piece of junk
