I'm a little late on seeing this video... I have one of these that is almost 2' tall growing in a pot on my patio here in Tucson, and she produces multiple flowers throughout May each year. I parted one little volunteer that had split the plastic pot at the nursery and he's growing in a planter with east and full midday exposure and seems to be doing well. The little volunteer is now about 6" above ground (doubled in size since planting) but hasn't gotten big enough to flower yet (his second year in the ground). Yes, those huge pink to yellow blooms are really spectacular alright! Anyway, sorry I just now found this video but thanks for posting it; I'm learning a lot from your videos. Zk
Wow, Ana 😍 That’s absolutely stunning, gorgeous colours. I’ll definitely try my best to track one of these down, or at least some seeds. Thank you for sharing these awesome blooms with us, Ana. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself 🌵☀️🌸🌺🏜☕️
SUPERCALAFRAGALISIC, EXPIALIDOTIOUS!!!! what a show!!! Yes the recatigorizing of many genus or species can be so confusing! Monadenium to Euphorbia, trichocereus to Echinopsis, sansaveria to draceana! It's hard to keep up!! I know a lot of it is structure of flowers, fruit & seeds & how they are similar. Still very confusing this nomenclature. I'm so glad you shared this Trichocereus, Echinopsis "flying saucer " what a sight indeed!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌💖🌵🌺🌿🏵🌲🌻🌳🌹🌴🌷🪴😃👍
Hahaha! You got me singing there. Yep. So many new ways of classifying plants. They split them up, then they combine them once again. (Sigh). Thank you Clyde for your support and your witty comments as always. 🙂
Definitely! Saw your Flying Saucer video, too. Truly a magnificent bloom. How many days did yours last? Mine is 2 days but it looked beat up the next day due to our strong winds.
I bought one from Brent last year and waiting for flowers to bloom. I don't see any signs of it yet. I wonder if mine is okay since it look kind of very light in color. Instead of dark green.
That's my favorite cactus 🌵 bloom out of all the species I have seen. I love the bloom of the flying saucer cactus specifically this color yellow pinkish beautiful bloom.
I bought mine from a big box store and only knew it as a torch cactus. Thank you for giving me it’s classification. For the first time, I had a second blooming this year!
Seen you post on Facebook yesterday and if by magic found your video today , excellent keep up the good work, alway interesting watch your posts over a nice cup of coffee and biscuits of course 😋
A well draining soil. Soil mix depends on your climate and on the type of pot that you use. But my Flying Saucer likes a good soaking, then a dry out in between
Thats the most gorgeous flower I've seen for a while, wow! Love it! Stunning colours which look amazing in the sunshine, lovely still photos too showing details! 😲😃😀🌞🌞🌞
It truly surprised me. Seeing them in person is mesmerizing. Hope you find one of this cactus, too. It feels very rewarding when you get them to flower. 😊
Waiting for them to be done blooming and I’ll be busy planting again. These Trichocereus grow better in the ground here. My potted ones have all sorts of weird shapes cause I kept moving them. Time to ground them and let them grow naturally. 😉
@@CactusCaffeine it will be terrific! I’d love to plant mine in the ground but I’m worried my winters will be too wet. I do habe an Echinopsis Easter lily in the ground as well as some cold hardy trichocereus. I just worry my hybrids would be unhappy and they were a bit of an investment as I’m sure you know!
Many cacti need the change in seasons to flower. Maybe since they are indoors, the temperature is constant year round? Try searching up my video on how to make a cactus bloom. I hope that helps. 🙂
wow na wow talaga flowers nya inggit ako
Proud mama! Lovely.

Just stunning. Now off to see if I can find one in Canada.
Flying Saucer is definitely worth the hype! And I agree! So far as to say if I could only keep one plant, it would be this hybrid
Definitely! Saw your Flying Saucer video, too. Truly a magnificent bloom. How many days did yours last? Mine is 2 days but it looked beat up the next day due to our strong winds.
@@CactusCaffeine mine lasted 2 days also, collapsed by the third night

Thank you so much for your video. I contacted the guy from torch cactus and I got two on the mail today!!! 🌵❤️
Yaye! Good for you. Hope they will show you their flowers soon.
They are sooo beautiful.
That's absolutely gorgeous 😍😍🌵
Please tell me about potting mix for flying saucer as I would get it very soon.
A well draining soil. Soil mix depends on your climate and on the type of pot that you use. But my Flying Saucer likes a good soaking, then a dry out in between
Beautiful
Thats the most gorgeous flower I've seen for a while, wow! Love it! Stunning colours which look amazing in the sunshine, lovely still photos too showing details! 😲😃😀🌞🌞🌞

Today is a good spring so far. Hope our summer won’t be brutal. Not looking forward to it.
Wow, what a beautiful flower. 😍
Wow😍😍napakaganda😍😍
For sure the year of pampering them paid off, as they rewarded you with blooms that looks like they came from another dimension!!
Another dimension, so true! I kept staring at the flowers in disbelief. Nature is amazing.
I've just ordered a 7" flying saucer from Etsy. Can't wait to see it blooming this summer or next year.
🌸 Yaye! I wish you many giant blooms! 🌸
So amazing Ana! I can't believe my eyes! I'm on the hunt. Hunting I will go, oh hunting I will go. haha! So many big blooms coming 😍
You are so close to many growers. Hope you find one, and many more!

My eyes were as big as "saucers" when I saw your post on Instagram! Congratulations, Ana!
Hahaha. That made me laugh imagining your eyes 👀. 😁 Thanks Eileen. This one is definitely worth the hype!
Wow, really amazing looking flower! Did you polinate it?
I did not pollinate it. But I used its pollen to pollinate my yellow Echinopsis. Not sure if it is a success.
Beautiful 😍
Wow, beautiful flower 🌸 are there any other colors for echinopsus?
There are many colors and sizes of Echinopsis. Generally, Echinopsis are excellent bloomers. 🙂
Love, love, love, love it. The colors are awesome. So happy for you.
Thank you! ☺️
I got mine 2 years ago from star nursery and i totally agree with you for the gorgeous huge bloom, as mine is super big. 😂
Wow, I haven’t seen this at Star Nursery. You are lucky to find one there. 😃
