- Walk along the beach and find a shell patch. Look for the blackest, shiniest triangular shape. It just might be a shark tooth. You can find shark teeth in Florida creeks and rivers.
I enjoy beach sifting the most. I can stay in the water all day or eat and take a nap.
Once you find one tooth, you’ll be addicted!
I need to get back down there. It's SO much fun tooth hunting and then almost as much fun watching the video of it!

Brings back memories when id go to florida with my grandparents. We would go to Venice beach near Sarasota because that was the sharks teeth beach. Found so many. I heard they dredged the beach since and now they’re all buried but it’s been a bit since I’ve been there.
Venice is where the the beach sifting part was videoed. It’s a four hour drive and I’ll go there a few times a year. The first day I’ll sift 900 teeth. The second day about 600. If I stay for a third day I’ll give away most of the teeth I find. I almost always let tourists that don’t have sifting gear use mine. I like to help visitors enjoy their vacation. Lol
I could spend all day looking for things.. oh wait, I already do. Unfortunately the items are my glasses, keys, purse..etc. lol

Great video! Where did you get the container to put the teeth in. Where did you get the shovel. I have not saw that one
The container is from an ice cream pint. I drilled holes in it using the smallest bit. The shovel is a sand scoop that’s used for metal detecting. I had a friend that didn’t like using a sand scoop so she used a Rubbermaid drink pitcher and she found lots of teeth

That may be true. It took me a while to get my first thousand. Once I figured it out though… lol
