This was the best episode in season 2 so far. I have a theory that Diana lied to Stephen about her LSAT score because she knows Lucy was telling the truth about Maceys death & is now more afraid of Stephen. Pippa & Wrigley have been the best arc so far because they're telling each other their truths & becoming friends. Oliver definitely has a sinister past from his first wife & the fact that Lucy has become very close to Marianne is going to make Lucy feel more guilty about their relationship. As far as Lydia, I think Lucy did say the part about her losing her virginity at 14 but is lying about the rest of the stuff because he's trying to draw a wedge between them. I do think Lucy will play a role in Chris being expelled & sent to prison for sexual assault & will be the nail in the coffin for her friendship with Lydia.
I agree with the Oliver /Bree plotline. It's so cringy. I agree that Oliver's demeanor is becoming creepy. The scene in the bar was disturbing. Bree wake up!
6:00 don't you think Lucy was also talking about Lydia's brother here because she was put off by him the entire night, she was using very vague terms so I don't think it was entirely about Stephen. I don't think Diana was justified at all in calling her out in this moment especially since she was actively telling lies about Lucy to make her seem like a crazy stalker and she knows how badly Stephen treated both of them. Why should they protect his image to his sister? 8:00 Bree wasn't saying because he'll be dead by then, I think he's only supposed to be in his 40's so in 20 years. I think she's just saying they'll be broken up by then because they agreed he wasn't going to leave his wife, he gave her his ring to give her false hope. 11:36 I would disagree with you here, I do not believe Lucy said any of those awful things, they're not that specific at all. Maybe she told him what age she lost her virginity, that her dad owns a country club and that she likes to smoke weed but the rest seem like easy guesses. Wanting to be thin or a certain weight is pretty typical (do you honestly believe Lucy would work this into a convo because I certainly don't), having mommy issues is super common (Diana, Lucy and Stephen all suffer from it), and then like Lucy said, I think he just spun everything to be more negative than what was actually said.
Agree that this was the best ep so far. I loved when Lucy got him back with VM/ sister bit. He deserved it.
Yes and how shocked he was at being compared to his mother. It hit a nerve. I need to see Stephen unravel.
Catching up on these. I'm really enjoying these commentaries, it gives me a couple of things to think about!

I think Stephen looked Lydia up online and deducted what she insecure about. I don't think Lucy would've bad mouth all of that to Stephen either.
I think I literally agree 100% with every point you just mentioned 😅
