In hindsight, yeah, I agree. My only big problem w/ S3 was how Hopper seemed to move backwards, losing a lot of the maturity he had developed up to that point. I was hoping by the end of the season, he would realize how much of a jerk he was being to Joyce & Elle, but that really didn't happen. Instead, he's your typical 'John Action-Hero' rather than a complex, flawed man trying to do the right thing. His "death" was really touching, but even that doesn't appear to be sticking, so yeah. I'm still excited about the 4th season, though I'll be going in w/ a more critical mindset.

I'm at the same point you are... I'll probably watch season 4, but honestly, if the show was unceremoniously canceled, I'd pretty much shrug and get on with my life. That said, looking on Wikipedia, it looks like the first half of the season (which will have 9 eps in all) is coming on May 27th. ... Yay?
