Wilds is getting pre ordered this friday. I can't wait to play later this month. My swag axe is ready.
My swaxe brotha
Another cool World tip I stumbled upon after like 1500 hours is that for vespoid (unsure of other bugs) the glowmoss slinger ammo will distract/immobilize and gather them, extremely useful for gathering their stuff or if you've got something to carry out without getting hit.
20:02 I also joined team red, I followed your build when you were making it with the 7900XTX because my CyberpowerPC 3070 pre-built was giving me so many problems (never buying from them again). 7900XTX and 7950X3D has been such a pig of a build so far, absolutely loving it so far with 0 problems running literally anything at max.
I found that poison smoke kills them and always leaves their bodies behind to be carved
Even as someone who is not too caring about the difficulty or the restocking system, I still feel like its important to have voices that argue for more of an emphasis on preparation. Not because its nagging but because it helps the devs know what their playerbase wants to see. They initially lowered the hitstop in wilds because the loudest voices that reached the devs were saying that that's what the community wanted even though it was largely untrue. So if we want to make sure that the games don't stray too far(even if they haven't at this point) its important to make that point known before it gets out of hand. That way, the devs have a variety of opinions to base their decisions on so that they can make a better game for everyone.
But isn't there a saying you can't please everyone? Even with people who agree with the same thing(and have different conclusions)?
@@javaruscarstarphen4062 They most likely can't please everyone but that shouldn't really be the goal. Improving the game means changing the game, but there should be some veterans who can let the dev team know if they've strayed too far and made the game unrecognizable.
@@hydramazing This^
The goal isnt to achieve perfection, but to continue striving for it, because perfection is impossible
Veterans complaing enough about restocking killing a lot of the aspect of preparation in MH and i 100% agree with that. But the thing i miss the most from the older games (started with 3U) are the social lobbies.
For as much as i appreciate the convinience of SOS system when i'm farming a monster, i really miss navigating through the lobby list in MH3U/4U/GenU to find a group of hunters to play with for the afternoon.
The SOS completly killed the social aspect of MH with randoms. Most of the lobbies in World no matter how filled they are, always feel like a isolating single player experience since everyone is posting their own quest and will just SOS to someone that isn't in the same lobby.
Im not a veteran but good comment, very interesting
I do miss the older days of posting a lobby, having random people join and doing a round of urgents, this is what I'm honestly hoping the new lobby system fixes.
I think being able to SEE other players in the main towns without having to go to the gathering hub will ultimately help. However, iirc, the lobby system here is still a bit wonky, you might be able to see 15 other players, but they might not able to see you and vice versa, since the lobby is gathering data from all 100 players instead of the focused 16 in a given instance. I hope they iron that one out
I feel like Wilds is trying to bring this back to some extent in a different way. The large lobbies give you more opportunities to join hunts within your lobby and you can stay together afterwards and do more hunts together.
I agree, there is basically no interaction from people when I join random quests in world and rise, in mhgu and 4U before the servers shut down- there was and probably still are a lot of social people and way more commutative interactions than in the newer titles
@ @kevadu not to doom post, but i feel like hoping wilds is going to fix this is pure cope. If anything it might go further in the oposite direction.
Now that you only need to go back to the "hub" for crafting weapons and can keep hunting withtou leaving the map it will have even less reason to interact with the other players in the lobby.
What made this social interaction great in past games were 2 things.
1-You can only hunt with the players in your lobby
2- There were only 4 players per lobby.
The fact that we had lobbies limited to the amount of hunters that form a party was the reason there was this camaraderie of helping each other do their urgent quest and farming stuff together.
With 100 players everyone would selflishly publish their own quest and if no one joins they would just publish it with SOS.
In past games everyone would help each other out and would look down on anyone who selfshly joinned lobbies just to post their own quest without helping others first.
I feel that a lot of Jacob's video is purposefully misrepresenting the complaints people have about the newer games. People are not complaining about needing tons of menus, they are saying that the preparation helped facilitate the hunter aspect of the game and removing prep and the benefit of knowledge from experience removes the hunter aspect of the immersion. But Jacob knows he cant argue about this so he makes a straw man argument about menus and complexity. Also, his contemptuous tone towards people with legitimate concerns for a game series they love is pretty gross to see from someone who used to be the person who complained about these changes the most.
Unfortunately that argument doesn’t account for the majority. Most just wanna sit down and fight monsters. Most people don’t want to spend time preparing like they’re playing a survival game or something.
@RIP_ZYZZ1738 if that were true there are plenty of games that are literally just boss rushes and they are not super successful games. Elden Ring added boss rush and people still want to play the whole game. And a majority thinking they want something doesn't mean that is what they really want. Plenty of games have crashed and failed after taking too much feedback from players. Making games too easy takes the feeling of success away if there are no roadblocks or friction, it just needs to be designed well
@ You accidentally used a false argument by using Elden Ring. Elden Ring barely requires preparation. That’s more about difficulty and skill. Monster Hunter has never been easy for a new player. You’re using shitty false arguments, idk how anyone is supposed to stand you
@RIP_ZYZZ1738 exploring and getting stronger flasks is arguably more tedious and takes longer than MH prep does so if players are fine doing that they are fine doing MH prep man. And games like POE and POE2 show that players are smart enough to handle those challenges and it's more rewarding that way. Don't know why you have to start attacking my character just bc you disagree. Maybe take a minute and ask yourself why you are so angry about someone just stating their opinion on a franchise they love
@@vsrobojoe892mh prep is like bring max potions, potions, and paintballs. If you need antidote then bring one. The prep aspect of mh is not really that deep its really up to the player if they want to make the hunt easier. Almost all of the monster in every mh games you can brute force.
Might be an awkward comparison, but to me that video about Monster Hunter needing to change is comparable to if someone heard of Dwarf Fortress and how Rimworld was like a more approachable version of it, played that, and is now coming to Dwarf Fortress and complaining that it's needlessly complicated compared to Rimworld and needs to change. Just like Dwarf Fortress, Monster Hunter is not for everyone, and this might sound elitist but I'm fine with it being that way.
Agree. Video games that appeal to niche audiences may not be widespread successes, but within their audience will be loved beyond any generalized game. If we get all the niches covered then everyone is happier with more niche gamer titles
heyyy! i'm the one who made the heart image with your face in the middle :D
Low Rank having a risk of being carted is a based take, do not take it back, stand your ground Ruri against the haters.
I would like that aswell but it's just not gonna happen...
I didn’t take it back, I just acknowledged it can get annoying to hear me say that all the time.
Back in psp days low rank tigrex kicked my ass and made me change up my whole set
i didnt see alot of people hating in the video as much as it is just people disagreeing saying your first few hours is not gonna be hard for a veteran and shouldn’t be
The take isn’t bad at all. If anything, I agree! The issue is that it’s completely delusional and he’ll only hurt his own feelings by trying to advocate for something that’ll never happen.
Making unforgiving experiences, (Which Monster Hunter already is for new players) kills the total number of people that’ll play the game. It ruins retention when you require people to prepare for more than 10 minutes before fighting a low rank monster.
It just won’t ever happened which sucks, but what can you do?
as far as i seen from other games, pandering to everyone will make this game just one giant slop of nothing. i guess they can make one big explosion of hype that way but then game will be just dying and dying with ppl greed asking for more simplification.
POE said "this is a game for no lifers and exel enjoyers" and it works. im pretty sure that they can do the same with wilds and its already big playerbase of veterans.
u want to simplify the game? ok, but add also content for ppl who love the series... i rly dont think its that hard to add some optional very hard quests or hard mode in endgame without restocking and special perks on quests that make the monsters harder to fight (just like the cart or time limit changes... just add more to that system)
you have said all I need to say, man. There’s another irritating phenomenon in the old Monster Hunter community: a marginalized group of players who’ve lost confidence in the game they’ve played for nearly a decade. They fear that some of the legacy systems that gave the series its unique identity might no longer appeal to them. These players have this strange fixation on stripping the series of all those elements under the excuse of 'simplifying the game to attract new players.' What new players? The 28 million players from Monster Hunter: World weren’t enough for you? The simplification in World felt like a mini-reboot for newcomers, giving them a taste of what makes the series special and why people get hooked. If the series returns with Wilds to some of its classic systems, these players would dive back in and give it a chance-unlike before-because they’d finally understand the core design that made World’s identity stand out!"
Lagiacrus was meant to be in world but had skeleton problems and there was no underwater combat so the fact that leviathan skeleton works in balahara and uth duna lagiacrus will be there even without underwater combat
Already prordered wilds for both my wife and I, this is the only franchise i would ever support in this way as the monster hunter team has always been reliable
Ruri’s comment about SAED through a roar with earplugs is interesting because in wilds you’ll want to guard point the roar to get to SAED immediately if that’s the move you want to do.
I experienced something really close to you when it comes to Warhammer recently... started building 40k battle sisters in october... slowly getting to build up and paint my minis over time.(which i enjoyed immensely) In December they absolutely overdid the nerfing and pounded them from balanced/slightly strong into absolute bottom tier. Kill Team seems cool tho... Love building some Ork Kommandos.
That being said... GWs price gouging is crazy... i got lots of original stuff, but after my exp im getting more into 3d printing (got into that even before warhammer) resin models and stuff for me and my friends.
Arrekx and gaijin are both incredibly good for weapon workshop
Yep I especially love the Arrekz guys
I hope Arrekx comes out with the same quality as they did for world. The one main dude left. He was great when base world launched
@VadeInSpiritu He was the face of the channel but a lot of the work that went into those guides was done by paradise and sixenine who are still there, so the quality will be just as great if not better! Dw friend
@ sounds good!
I agree 100percent it should be intuitive and also i like gathering alot and gives you a cooldown between hunts
Hey Ruri, this probably isn't the best spot to say this, but it's the video you talked about it, lol. Hardware Unboxed did an extensive video covering b650, b650e, and b670x motherboards. I remember he really didn't like the Asus prime boards at all for the money. You'd probably be better off with an Asus Tuf (still pricey, but better VRMs), or one of the other offerings. ASRock tend to have the best tech for the value.
I would definitely watch the video though. He goes into a lot of the features, and breaks them all down by price class.
If you know the specs you want (M.2 slots, USB speeds, wifi speed, etc) and don't have time for the video, I could probably narrow it down to your best few options. Prices and availability in your region will be different than where I am, so I'd give you a few different choices, and hopefully one is available. Let me know.
I've been drinking cold press coffee, extra strong Greek frappes, add black coffee from when I was 16 all through my twenties. I drink 1 cappuccino with three double shots of espresso. Sometimes I even just have the three doubles of espresso by itself. I've had absolutely perfect blood pressure the entire time that I have been drinking coffee and I am almost 40.
My main build for all of iceborne used divine blessing 5, free meal 3, and speed eating 3. I still had all the damage skills on top of it but I was an invincible tank who used a max potion for any amount of damage taken because they never get used 😂
I watched monster Hunter animated movie. It was the one based on the guild night when he first joined the monster hunting fleet think it was a third fleet. It was a guy in the first scene of the game yeah the Guild night.
I don't always agree with all your opinions, but I wish you a merry Monster Hunter anyway :D
To be completely honest, the only reason MH has grabbed me like it has, is because of how deep and complicated it gets. The feeling i got the first time I went through end game build-crafting and optimization for every system I could, is the dragon I chase to this day
like to see Guyle from Street fighter two crossover into monster Hunter world as a character
something I want about the expansion, cause is probably not happening in wilds, is that not all really hard monsters are title update exclusive, I like the days of mh4u where fatalis was there from the get go, maybe in the expansion add the fatalis or alatreon hunt from iceborne, I know they want those monsters to be an event people is hyped for, but what about giving you game content, theres no need for fatalis to be in every game, but the same way it was in 4u it can be in the wilds expansion (by default not in a title update) and in the next "portable" game you dont add it, but you add alatreon there
Crouch carving is the only way I was able to get all nine carves from Fatalis in Monster Hunter Freedom second. There's no way I was going to invest points in speed carving.
Here's my pov on restocking on world I played PC only cuz I didn't have a PS4, so I waited and after playing I didn't feel the preparation any different from previous titles, as you have access to restock, you also go through resources faster so you still need to prep for constantly restock, but with steamworks on iceborne that wasn't an issue anymore and that I had troubles with, and by playing the wilds beta the "free" stock Alma gives isn't that big as we always get resources before a hunt. Do only thing I see is less prep work for gunners but as someone thats a GS main and gonna second a SA for kabooms this doesn't bothers me in the slightest. 3:10:31
How will we be able to vote for the community award? Is it live or do we vote beforehand?
We don’t do heavy bow guns and we don’t bows, we don’t do light bow guns and we don’t do any of those
We do guuuuuunnnnlannnnnnccceeeee
Ruri carving or picking up items while crouched is faster in old gen MH, it's not a lie.
Although i'm not sure if new gen kept this hidden detail
Fun fact for all the number geeks out there: When Ruri is talking about "750 watts," the video is at exactly 27:50.
It was all part of the plan…
"mug" that's a tiny mug as an American ;) yea, big german beer mug/pint. I agree, espresso in that :D
"Admin busywork" is exactly how to describe my least favourite part of the old games. Pokke Farm, Kokoto Farm. I hated that. It was so boring and you had to it after every quest. Compared to that, the farm in World was great. Just a couple clicks every couple quests and you're good. And the Tailraiders being every five quests instead of the meowcenaries after every quest in GU, improved without taking away from it.
I don’t like the menu only farms. Bring back the old farms but maybe make them like every 3-4 quests you harvest instead of after every quest. The menu only farm feels too disconnected. I like having an actual farm to go to and gather the items. It’s a good change of pace to the high focus monster fights.
We don’t do heavy bow guns and we don’t do bows, we don’t do light bow guns and or any of those
We use guuuuuunnnnlannnnnnccceeeee
My biggest gripe about Monster Hunter: Why do I have to look at UA-cam videos to discover how the weapons work. The ingame tutorials need to be loads better!
This might sound like a clunky way to present the information but a flow chart would be better than them listing maybe 10 combos and leaving you to figure everything else out yourself.
The ingame weapon tutorials are useless. I like watching UA-cam videos and learning about games though, not just monster hunter. I wish the tutorials ingame were good enough to get you started, but I feel like the game shouldn’t tell you what to do 100%
Bro can’t you just take a weapon and try to learn it yourself?? Zoomers are actually broken lmao
I learned all the weapons back in the day when we didn’t have hunters notes or on screen button inputs. It’s… not that hard.
Zoomers grew up with giving up the second they meet friction and just looking up answers and guides. So sad. That’s why puzzle games died.
@@MysteriousStranger50 I honestly have no idea what you are on about mate. The 'guides' are so terrible in game that it misses or doesn't explain basic principles of how they work. It has nothing to do with being a zoomer (my first game was the original Mario on the NES) and everything to do with the fact that if a game doesn't tell you how it basically works then it is a failure in that regard. Mario did not nerd tutorials, but Monster Hunter is a lot more complicated and does need them.
I don't think that's quite the flex that you think it is. You just sound like a complete jerk tbh 😂 like well done, do you want a medal or something to make you feel special?
Good morning, sir ! As someone who doesn't have a Desktop at home, I was interested in purchasing Wilds for Steam Deck. However, I usually just play Steam Deck docked unless I'm traveling for the most part. I purchased World on steam deck and it didn't run well. I'm a bit apprehensive, would you recommend a PS5/Xbox purchase of Wilds or should I take a chance with a steam deck purchase? Thanks
Too soon to say tbh.
I'll bet 5,000 dollars that lagiacrus is in wilds 🤝
As an avid SA user, I consider Evade Extender and Evade window to be must haves to make the weapon feel fun. Hops with i frames provides so much up time
Bowgun+Basarios+MH1.
He doesn't like the preperation i like the grind everything doesnt need to be streamlined
People need to relax like you said people have played a more up to date build saying especially consoles that performance is going to been good
Not saying I dont agree but I dont understand the preparation complains, world was my first mh like most people, but then I have played every single g rank game + p3rd and I have not need to do any preparation other than leveling up the weapon I was using and getting a better armor
I guess it is probably because it was their first Mh game so they were much worse and needed better gear and more prep
Hope it's not arkveld do think it will but it could might be rathian
Amigo não foi na pc componentes mas sim na pcdiga desculpa o engano. Abraço
Obrigado!
Difficulty needs to be harder but I think high rank to endgame should give more a challenge
Trust me lagiacrus is in don't want to spoil anyone but he's 100 percent in
My money's on Lagiacrus DEFINITELY being in MHWilds. Keep in mind that they wanted him in World, but couldn't because of skeleton jank. They've ironed out the skeleton jank (and we know this because of Balahara), and I don't buy this "we can't put him in because there's no underwater combat" bullshit. If Lagiacrus doesn't make it into Wilds, they will look incompetent.
I think he'll be there
I mean it has to be possible by this point! They now have the models of royal rudroth, mizutsune, almudron and it’s subspecies, and somnacanth and it’s subspecies, there’s no way they haven’t figured it out yet.
@BenjaminCox-x6v found a video covering a data mine post revealing a list of 30 monsters or so. Not sure if it can be trusted
Balahara and the water wave effects with uth duna to me say 100% lagi will be in Wilds. I wish we had him in his full power underwater, but maybe we’ll see that again in the future
Best of luck to the hunter awards, but involving Peppo is just rough. Dudes not cool.
Having met Peppo personally, he’s a super chill and nice guy.
@@rurikhan I really hope so, but he really did his friends dirty.
Already pre-ordered wilds I really wanna play rhe game with you and the Ironbreakers. Looking forward to the content.
Bra i don't care about anything I'm just trying to know how the game performs on older hardware I feel like expecting the game to run on 1080 60 with medium to high settings isn't too much to ask my system is 2070 super ryzen 7 3700x
Rurikhan look buddy Its over Ubisodt Is done. Even If shadows somehoe sells well Its too late they are already looming for a buyer. They announced that they are dismantling and privatization Is Inbound Indefinitely. THEY ARE DONE FOR 😂
like to see Guyle from Street fighter two crossover into monster Hunter world as a character
