Donkey Kong Country: DK Island Swing Mashup (38 Variation Edition)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 29 сер 2024
- In an uninspired moment, I mashed up 38 versions of the iconic DK Island Swing (aka Jungle Hi-Jinxs or Jungle Japes) to the original track. I didn't include a few of the tracks and I think there could be some polish to certain places, but I hope you enjoy this none the less.
The "return to monke" ensemble.
Monke medley?

1:42 This shit sound like a movie trailer....
In a world....
Where there's only one...
King of the jungle...
THIS SUMMER....
DONKEY KONG...
TAKES THE CROWN
Well donkey Kong is already in a movie being the super Mario movie that actually came out just a couple of days back
@@GarryzillaYeah, and we want a Donkey Kong Country movie next, a movie where DK is the starring character and Diddy is his co-star.
Now I wanna go to an alternate universe where a donkey Kong movie was made in the 90s
i didnt know you said it first
This is more then just an island swing at this point. This is a CONTINENTAL SWING!
I believe you mean...Continental SHIFT (Science joke haha)
@@ChaosGamer123 HA!
The widest grin appeared on my face when 1:05 kicked in, I genuinely got goosebumps.
Wait you get goosebumps from music?
As soon as that bass-line at 0:56 comes in, you know it’s about to get real

When they all hit for the main jingle, it's magic
Happy 40th to the big monke, DK!
I'm 40 years old, I've played and heard every version, this is truly special to me. Thank you so much for making this!🎶😲🤘😃👍
the circle of life has run it's course with this one
You guys hear that? Drums. They beat in unison, as if chanting for a deity. The legends of such a deity reign only to the name, Donkey Kong.
"Announcing his return back to Nintendo, after years of ausence"
Here is the law of the jungle,
As old and as long as the sky.
Those who keep it may prosper,
but those who TOUCH DONKEY KONG'S BANANA HOARD MUST DIE!
“And so it was foretold by the elders that an endless swarm of cruel voracious reptilian beasts called Kremlings would plague our homes and steal our bananas. All lead by their gluttonous and insane king, K. Rool the Tyrannical. But fear not disciples, for our god Donkey Kong the God of Bananas and his guardian angel Diddy the Angelic will ascend from the heavens above and lock those foul scaly creatures in the pits from whence they came!”
When monkes rise up like gamers!
monkeys vs simps
Maybe someday nintendo will play more than the 1st world of dkc
Underrated comment.
ah yes, the "Green Hill Zone" syndrome
@@typical4219 1-1 syndrome
@@liminalradiofm7899 to be fair, the original super mario bros OST has just 6 songs. unlike DKC, at least nothing in SMB is getting unfairly overlooked in favor of the main theme.
but it is not this day
Imagine a jazz ensemble with a bunch of Kongs jammin' out to this 🐒🎶

*Return to monke*
This is too good! I don’t even know how you can mix all these game soundtracks together and make it a banger!
Dude what in the world??? How is this underrated? This is just a great mix COME ON!
In the hospital rn. Honestly this is what I need to recover
I thought this would be incredibly out of sync, but it turned out amazing
This feels like something that would be in Smash.
bro now i understand why this is considered the best song of the dck trilogy so good this is
All of human history lead to you listening to this

very few mashups of this exist.
and when I saw a few, I mean literally two.
what do you think? should I make the third and lose my sanity? or should I leave it at two but constantly have it bugging me in the back of my mind?
Donkey not monke. Donkey not have tail. Diddy is monke. Donkey is ape. Has ape dong.
1:16 yea thanks but what's the one that did the sweet piano part here
I believe that's Token Tango from Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest (and by extension Donkey Kong Land 2 as well).

too much. just sounds like a mess
good effort though. just think you took on a project too big and with the wrong approach.
it sounds great what are you talkin about
Imagine posting a negative opinion
Just no.... listen to it with studio headphones and all you hear is butchered noise and it sounds anything but good. it's wayyyyyyyyyy too much.
Maybe listen without headphones then?
@@tacitgamingfanREAL Yeah. You definitely have simple solutions for problems.
That's as if I'd live on the streets while I have a house to live in.
Where is your logic. If I have those good quality studio grade headphones then I'll obviously use them.
@@MoundN it sounds better without headphones -> watch without headphones
@@lazulazu2467 if a song sounds better without headphones somethings HEAVILY wrong with the song.
Listening to a song trough good studio grade headphones is the best way to listen to a song.
Specially if you've heard it with headphones already and know what it sounds like your brain is easily able to bring that garbled noise up in front.
Generally speaking you simply don't smash 30 songs on top another, that's how you avert this crises.
A lot of game osts use instruments that sound really full and rich to fill up a lot of empty space in a soundtrack so the song doesn't sound spacious, you generally wanna avoid that for game design.
Stacking all of those instruments possibly playing the same or a similar rendition of notes causes this mess that's present in this song.
@@MoundN yeah, but it sounds better without headphones, so listen without headphones
