Ditto for me. I'm a native American English speaker. I find your videos very entertaining. I find your accent interesting, I'm not quite sure where you are from originally, your English language skills are excellent.
@@aliceelizabeth8248 she knows how to speak german but she born here in Buenos Aires, due to the economic problems she fly to Germany. Pd: sorry for the bad english
In the first few seconds, she used an American "good" and a British "good" right next to each other. But her English is phenomenal, i have no issues understanding
I’m a native English speaker and they’re similar but not the same. If you get stood up it just means someone no showed to your plans. They might message you or might not. If you get ghosted they won’t show up and also they won’t message you.
Native speaker here. Outstanding teacher! Keeps my interest with topnotch (excellent) presentation. Helps me know current idioms just in case a younger person says one. Education,, excellence, entertainment all combined. No cap.
Thank you, I'm from iran we have a hard exam here for being accepted in the Universities, which is called "konkoor" your idioms came in handy for the exam, thank you very much 👍🏻😊
I really enjoyed your video. It isn't boring at all. It seems like it finishes so fast. Most of the idioms you introduced today were quite new to me. So it helped a lot. Thanks a million.
Very, very, very, very useful...!!! 👍👍👍👍👏👏👏 More than half of them were totally new to my ears (maybe because of my age). Your short lessons are really useful and you're really a smart teacher! ❤ I like your particular voice too...
as a french native speaker, I knew already "ghost" and "on fleek" because we use this idioms also between us in France for exactly the same meaning. My neighbour (woman) was a friend and she said ever me "I'm so on fleek" to mean I'm very beautiful today / my outfit and my make up are perfect today
I get low-key upset when people starts ghosting someone and starts throwing shades at him/her 😓😑🙄. On the other hand, I´m high-key spilling the tea about my opinion on this video: Caro you look on fleek, I think that fit goes really hard 😍💓🥰. Now I want to binge watch all your videos, you are lit, no cap. 😏😉😎 PD: May I slide into your DM's?🥺🤭☺ (Dear God I hope what I wrote makes sense 😰🙏😬)
Caro, You talk so easily to understanding 'til to someone like me, not fluent. Amazing. I'm a brasilian guy from Acre, part of the rain forest (Amazônia).
The way I've heard bet used was more as an agreement to conditions discussed, or as a means to agree to disagree. "I think I'm better than you at X" - alright, bet. "We're gonna meet up at 6 pm" - bet. It also makes no sense or connection to wager.
American here, but speaking English from a half century ago. Most of the idioms were comprehensible, but three were completely opaque: fleek, no cap, and that (out)fit goes hard. Thanks for opening a door! Knowing its etymology helps me: "fleek" was just made up! "No cap" comes from a contest of escalating insults, known as capping.
Oh Caro I’ve been watching lot of your shorts lately. This has been the first video I watch from you and cannot guess where are you from. Your accent is lovely. 🥰
1_ Lit meaning something is on or "cool" (adjective derived from light); 2_ Lit(erally); 3_No cap(tions): No need to read a different meaning; 4_(You can) bet .... something is that way; 5_Throwing shadow, someone's really darkening other's light.
I see some plants, and Mozart, and many books behind you. What do you read when you have time? Spill the tea is gossiping, and throwing shade is kinda scary
Hey Caro, ich habe gerade deinen Kanal entdeckt, mega cool! Wieso kannst du so toll Englisch? Und Spanisch? Und Deutsch? Und bestimmt noch deine Muttersprache? Einfach toll!!
Acabo de leer que vienes de Argentina. Y ahora vives en Alemania? Si algun día vienes a Hamburgo avisáme y charlamos en los tres idiomas. Soy hamburguesa y me encantan los idiomas❤

I like the way she talk. She say the word one by one and very clear.
In 3rd person singular you add the letter "s" to the end of the verb. Not she talk, but she talks
In the first few seconds, she used an American "good" and a British "good" right next to each other. But her English is phenomenal, i have no issues understanding
You have no issues to understand her because your English is very good 👍

Exactly. 😂 although just 3 videos isn't bingewatching. 3 HOURS of her videos in bingewatching.
As a Brazilian I never thought that one day I would learn English with an Argentine teacher. That's amazing!

Not really but I can be wrong.

No cap...this is a top notch lesson
It's also lit indeed!
Worth bearing in mind the cultural origin of many of these idioms (young POC, American Vernacular English).
I can see some many people here that say they are fluent but still watch these videos cause this is so good, and I am one of those too XD love this!

I'd like to see more meanings but also their origins. Like where they come from what word, language, etc. More like the etimology of slangs.

"I think I'm better than you at X" - alright, bet.
"We're gonna meet up at 6 pm" - bet.
