- There is a medium chance that a tropical disturbance will develop as it moves toward the Caribbean islands and potentially tracks toward Florida, but the odds have been increasing since the weekend. If the system were to become a tropical storm, it would be named Debby - the fourth named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.

@damioncjm Yeah its only a forecast "development" area, not a forecast cone. The worst is what Van Dillon said about the tropical storm symbol with an eye should be the hurricane symbol. Too confusing.

The Tropical storm could be on track toward to Florida, USA This week with flooding Rain. 🌧🌎
The last tropical storm in St. Augustine closed the town down for 3-4 days. I rode that one out in my camper van with my dog parked in a car wash. We were completely protected... ven only rocked back in forth.
I was the only one who thought of this brilliant plan. Meanwhile others were parked under banks to which is no real protection, boats etc in middle of parking lots that some could have fit like my van did.
