As a part of God our true fulfillment and eternal happiness come from spiritual growth and connection with the divine, not from temporary material pleasures. When we focus our mind on our spiritual journey and seeking a deeper relationship with God, we can experience the divine love and bliss that goes beyond the ordinary limits of worldly desires.
I think dharma is the point of life.I don't think asking for enlightment works if the dharma is something else for a person.A soul knows anyway how to getting enlightent if the time is there.Just because someone dosen't know what it means to giving birth,a child can be born.It's like that with enlightment.I think there is a situation in our life and we decide what is karma in it,there can be plenty of reasons and viewpoints.I have heard 90% of the people reading vedas for getting material results,others want transcendental activity and only bhaktas want to serving God without asking for anything.I want transcendental activity always.Cause it's cool.And in the Bhagavad Gita it's written, there are beings who can get over the material nature but using it with their spiritual nature.
