Most amusement and theme park performers are musical theater, dance or music majors in college. Often it’s their first contract. Some return or go to other parks, cruise ships, dinner theatre, resorts, Off-Broadway, Vegas, TV or Music or Dance Teachers etc. Some Stage Managers, Technicians and Costumers also major as such. “The Only Talent Isn’t the Talent On Stage” as I say. Some performers and techs return for Summer and/or HalloWeekends in the same or different shows.

17:40 I love when shows have parts like this section, where everything slows down. Hard to describe, but it's very lovely. Great song choices too, Rewrite the Stars, What About Us, and All I know So Far. She has a wonderful voice.
We were at the same show, I knew I saw you when we saw someone walking around with a camera and tripod! I was to the left of the stage taking photos for them 💙
That's fun! Yes it was a monopod I don't use often. I got it on clearance at Best Buy last season. It takes some getting used to. It helped get a feel for it spinning around while was waiting. It has a metal spike on the end. It was handy in letting people visually know I was going to tape the show so they were kind enough to give me room. I had to get to this show much earlier than I normally would to get the spot that I needed which was also a few feet back. It gave me clear wide shot to the catwalk/traverse stage. They removed it the past couple of seasons so they could have their videographers move back & forth for the live-feed to the stage's video boards during the shows. For my "CEDAR POINT'S LUMINOSITY Full Show Up Close Center 2017 | amusement420" I held the camcorder above my head and looked up at the LCD the entire time. That was very difficult. The results were worth it. I only did that once. I did the same thing with this looking up at the LCD. But it was much easier to hold it for this long. I turned a grid on the LCD to keep it centered with the video board. Luckily I only bumped the little girls in front of me with the monopod once when I titled it up for the aerialist. It's not something I'd want to do often. But it was interesting. Worth the effort for a production like this. I only missed some cues briefly.
The production-value of Cedar Point shows is always very high to make worthwhile documenting. Things look different thru the lens of a camera. You pay attention in different way. I normally tape them cold without having seen them. Eventually I stop and watch a show without a camera. I used to take stills with a Nikon DSLR with a zoom lens. A zoom lens is slower than a fixed lens it let's in less light in and can be blurry but it's fun use composing a shot. I'd sometimes crop photos in Photoshop. I look at composition when I shoot a show. I focus on the performers taking the lead. But not for long then frame the shot by looking at the left & right edges of the frame. Trying to keep as many in the frame and keeping arms and such of others out as much as possible. The Compact Canon camcorder's LCD GUI is very cluttered so it's difficult to do. But I'm up to the challenge. I can't hold a phone without getting my finger in front of the lens. I keep using a camcorder.

@@amusement420you definitely look at things differently through a camera, I make sure I force myself to watch the shows without taking photos often 😅 I’m pretty sure me and my little brother give you most of your views, we watched your “On Tap: Home Brew” video about 100 times to learn the “Fake ID” dance. We watch these videos all the time when we aren’t in the park! Keep doing what you do, we enjoy it so much! 💙
@@_Hailey_Marie_ That’s very nice to hear ; ) That explains the 40% above average audience retention in that show video’s section in the engagement analytics! It is fun choreography.
