As a Michigan fan I will always respect the Hawkeyes as a team. I honestly don’t think that any other program (maybe except for Michigan- sorry I’m a bit biased) has the kind of sheer grit, determination, and work ethic that the Hawkeyes always seem to be able to bring. Good game and I look forward to seeing them play Michigan again in the Championship next year.
Kirk needs to go, and that's the problem. Finding another head coach who will keep that level of defensive grit and marry it to a productive offense is INCREDIBLY hard to find. That's why so many of Iowa's wins are ugly.
@@spdcrzy I mean I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I hope that Iowa can make the same jump that Michigan did. Although knowing the Hawkeyes their jump won’t be surrounded by controversy/potential-maybe-once in a blue moon illegal scouting. (We Michigan fans are still coming to terms lol- at least I’m at the end of the denial stage.) I guess what I’m trying to say though is I think its hard for many in any fan base to give up the 8-10 win seasons, especially with all of the shifting that always happens in college football let alone the zoo its become as of late. Just because you never know if the shiny new coach you shell out for is the next Mel Tucker or worse. Jeez, I typed an article there. All in all he seems like a solid coach from our side of the field who just needs a stellar offensive coordinator. Maybe Ryan Day? (Sorry I couldn’t help myself with that one 😂) EDIT: Also I don’t find their wins to be terribly ugly for some reason, I mean yes more offense would be good but Iowa seems to be bringing that old Big Ten football that we all know into the 21st century and I’m here for it.
As a Hawkeye fan, watching this season and even the past few seasons, I know there are many things that could be done differently and improved. But I believe if Iowa had an offense as strong and excellent as our defense, we would be true contenders in games like these. 🏈 But I wish Michigan best of luck in the CFP, and I hope they win it all the way!〽️
This team is like no other Michigan team I've loved I've been a fan since BOs first year this team's believe in themselves and the love they have for each other and the program is off the charts they believe their the best team in college football and I believe they win it All the mission of faith continues Go Blue 💙💙💙💙💙💙
This is as close as Michigan has came since 1997 when they won it all, I hope they finish the job this year! Hope there ready this year.... Go get them boys you know everyone is picking Bama go shock the world and win it all........ Go Blue!
Tremendous respect for that Iowa team, they fought really hard. That said, this was the minimum expectation at Michigan this year, 13-0 B1G title, now they have to finish the job like they weren't able to the last couple years. Go win the next 2 and this season will mean a lot, fail and its just another what could've been kind of year. Third times the charm 🤞
The best thing that could’ve happened to Michigan was them playing a top defense like Iowa. Because Bama isn’t going to be much easier. And not having Zach is a real bummer. But hopefully they make some necessary adjustments going into the Rose Bowl and can at the very least be competitive. Go Blue! 〽️
5:25 this was the officials blatantly trying to make sure Michigan covered the spread, called incomplete on the field but somehow changed by review, these highlights even made sure to crop out the hand to cover for it. Sports betting has ruined college football. (This is coming from someone who hates Iowa)
@@carlmustard4841 it wasn't lol, it was very clearly an incomplete pass, and they even called it an incomplete pass on the field. That was the most obvious corruption I've seen in football in my lifetime.
Awesome game😃👍🏾 No matter what Iowas record is, they always have the ability to be a menace when you least expect it against Michigan. Just wait till their offense is as dominant as their defense😬😬😬
I'm a Michigan fan and I have to be honest, that was not a fumble that lead to Michigan's score that put them up 17-0. It showed it in that sequence on this video but I don't recall what score it lead to when I watched it live. Watching live though, I did think it was was a fumble and his hand hadn't went forward but man oh man is it pretty obvious this time around that the Iowa's quarterback's hand was clearly going forward. On top of that, the ball went flying forward into the secondary almost. There's no universe where a defensive back can come in from the side and swat downward on a throwing arm and have that football travel forward in any direction without having any inertia from the quarterbacks arm. It's impossible! So the arm would have to be going forward in it's motion. Think about it. Otherwise that ball would go flying down or backwards. Somewhere, anywhere but forward. If anyone had a thought enter into their brain that Mike Sainristil from Michigan deflected the ball so hard off of the Iowa qbs hand before the ball had left said hand, you are not smart. What a terrible call that was though!!!! Surprising the refs didn't know that either. Well, they are refs after all. Enough said. Just goes to show you how the eyes can fail a person though. In the future, if you see a quarterback's arm get smacked with the ball flying forward or even up, you'll always know it's impossible to be a fumble.
More central location for the conference and its a pretty nice stadium? On top of that Indiana would likely never make the championship game so they dont have to worry about "home" field advantage haha 😂
